He has so many questions, all of which seem to be fighting to reach the tip of his tongue first. He inhales, holds for a moment, then slowly exhales. This does nothing to relax his nerves, and he decides to give up for now. Dropping his eyes to the floor, he speaks in a slightly more firm voice.

That first letter says they have been "saved", but... this feels nothing like that. He feels more like a prisoner, like someone who's been placed in the middle of some really sick game. The only feeling he's gotten from this place, so far, is fear. Even with only having been here less than an hour.
