Yotsuba!&...

Setting: The mailroom on September 17th.
Format: I'm starting in prose, but I'll match you!
Summary: Yotsuba finds an unmarked letter in her mailbox and tries to find out who sent it.
Warnings: None so far!

One of the few daily habits Yotsuba had was checking her mailbox every day when she came near it. On most days, the mailbox was empty, but that just made her really happy whenever she did get mail, like today. When she pulled out the note and the flower crown, her smile grew and her eyes shone like jewels.

"These flowers are so pretty! But..Yotsuba isn't bright! I don't glow like a firefly! And this place isn't all dark!"

Puzzled, and wanting to know who sent her the note, Yotsuba started searching the mailboxes for 'Saber of White'. However, after ten or fifteen minutes, she gave up, sulking and looking a bit annoyed.

"I can't find it! Did they lie about their name?! That's really mean!"

Routine didn't help much, since his mind had a tendency to drift, freeing it up for that screaming to fill it.

When he hears Yotsuba's voice, he follows it to her.

"What are you looking for, Yotsuba?"

Not that Yotsuba knew about that screaming voice, but when she saw Enoch, she pointed at the mailboxes, still pouting a little. She was happy to see Enoch, but still mad that she couldn't find this guy's mailbox, if they had given her the correct name.

"Sailor of White sent me a letter, but I can't find their mailbox! Did they lie about their name, Enoch?! It's really mean if they did! I can't ask them about being a firefly! Or why this place is dark! Yotsuba can see just fine!"

As she spoke, she put said flower crown on her head and held the note out to Enoch. Maybe he could make some sense of it.

Enoch took the note from Yotsuba and read it over. It took him a little bit to figure it out, but he chuckled.

"Well, Yotsuba, Saber of White wasn't calling you a firefly, and she didn't mean this place was literally dark. She meant, ah...this place was gloomy, like a dark place, and you're like a cheerful light that dispels the gloom."

Even though she had been wrong about what the card meant, Yotsuba smiled when she heard what Saber actually meant. That all sounded super nice, which just made her want to scribble a note to Saber all the more.

"Really?! Dark places aren't gloomy, but it's good that I can cheer everyone up! But I can't find Saber's mailbox, so I can't send her a crown back! Oh..who is Saber of White anyway? Are they are good person?"
