Shion being late was unusual but he had sat and stared at the note that had been left on his head (one day he would wake up when Reno tried that). After waking up from being knocked out, and having been freed from the room he had gone to shower, given up after almost passing out- at least he had gotten mostly clean, then despite everything he knew about headwounds had went into his room and slept for a long time.

He hadn't died of it so he figured it was fine. He felt sick, hungry, ashamed, angry, worried. He wanted to go and find Reno just because he had to make sure he was alright, had to make sure Xion was alright, he couldn't get their screams out of his head.

But if he had heard them, they had heard him, at least the first time and he felt awful about losing control. Again.

So he was late and he was stood at the door, not quite entering.
