Fortunately for both of them, Jade isn't a flirt, nor does he use flirtatious overtures as a way to mess with people. He's likelier to comment placidly on how well, say, Sheena and Zelos are getting along when Sheena is in the middle of beating Zelos over the head for his latest skeevy remark. ...It's probably good that Zelos isn't here right now, since Sheena would probably appreciate Jade's sense of humor less in that circumstance.

"I've spoken with a few old friends like that, myself," Jade agrees, sobering up some. "It's very helpful to hear about a place such as this," he gestures vaguely at their surroundings, "from the perspective of someone used to the same world as you."

Sheena goes on to urge him to continue talking to people, and break down which libraries have useful information. He's already figured that out for himself, but given that this is his first day, he appreciates someone taking the time to mention it, just in case. He only nods, though, and says, "Thank you for the information, Sheena. I'll do that."
