We weren't married back on Gaia and this was back when I was still a rookie. Its pretty common practice to take our training very seriously. Injuries can sometimes happen. We just...happened to get a little over-zealous.

Besides, I doubt he'd go that far with you and the other recruits. Not unless they asked for that level of severity, at least.
