...but his definitely did.
Characters: Ienzo and you.
Setting: Room 1-12 and surrounding area; backdated to whenever people first got their rewards
Format: Starting in action, but I'll do whatever.
Summary: Ienzo gets a super-cute purple thing as his reward and thusly proceeds to flip the fuck out.
Warnings: Extremely repetitive icon usage.
[Whatever unfortunate schmuck who happens to be walking around the first dorm level today will notice Ienzo walking down the hall, minding his own business. He opens the door, also minding his own business. By this point, the unfortunate schmuck may have turned away because, whatever, it's just some kid who never talks.]
[The unfortunate schmuck will be repaid with a LOUD, SHRILL SCREAM.]
[He does this for a full five seconds before slamming the door shut and pretty much standing there going 'oh shit oh shit oh shit'.]
[Enjoy your present, Ienzo!]

[Ienzo, if you're wondering, is backing up very, very quickly.]

Hm.... [It was just a Flood after all, and talking to that Sora guy kind of gave him an idea. He carefully set the keyblade down behind him before standing back up.]
Uh...stop! [He held out his hand to emphasize. He wasn't entirely sure how Vanitas did it really, but maybe he just had to tap into that same spidey sense?] Come out of the ground!

[However, it almost immediately lunges for Ventus, claws out and looking like it wants to slash something to bits. Ienzo is kind of subconsciously hiding behind Naminé.]

[For a moment he's excited that the Flood listened to him, of course less so when it's lunging. Dodging was out of the question, so he spun around and stuck his leg out to kick it, picking up the keyblade again as he finished his revolution.]
Stand down!! [He yelled, trying to tap into his connection with Vanitas a bit more and sounding just a bit more angrier for his efforts.]

[Nerves, that's what the Floods are. A messed-up jumble of nerves. So what happens when something yells at it? Well, Vanitas usually, which never ends well. The little creature was obviously scared of Ventus now, much more than it had been previously -- but it's still staring him down. Even though, as mentioned before, it was scared out of its wits; and besides that, it looked about ready to croak. Floods were not very... powerful Unversed, after all.]

[The angry tone does not in any way help her be less concerned by this realization, nor does the fact that the Flood's suddenly listening, although in other circumstances that particular part of it might not be too bad. Her eyes dart between Ven and the Flood, trying to keep track of both of them at the same time.]

[And what's more he really could sense what the Unversed was. He knew they were embodiments of negativity, but it was his first time actually understanding that fact; they were fear, and it was scared. He nodded and smiled just a tad, while remaining firmly tapped into that Unversed mojo.]
It's OK. Come here. [He let the Keyblade disappear for now and held a hand out to the little blue creature.]

goddamnit.]There... good Unversed? [THIS WAS AN ODD CONCEPT TO HIM.]
no subject
[At the same time, he doesn't want to speak. He might spook the thing, and that might just be enough to get it to start attacking again... but of course, the Unversed doesn't look like it's actually going anywhere.]

[And he turned around to look at Ienzo and Naminé.] See, everything's under control!
[...I think you guys can talk now.
Sorry for shaking your worldview and everything.]no subject
...how?

[Oh gee Ven maybe it was a bad idea to tell people your alternate self could control monsters. Welp]
[He used one arm to rub the back of his neck awkwardly before continuing.] The Unversed.... Er, it's kind of a long story....
no subject
[He will not be deterred. This is weird goings-on, you guys.]

[After a moment of looking awkward, Ven relented with a sigh.] There was this guy named Vanitas... He was the one that created the Unversed.
[Suddenly petting the Unversed and looking at the little blue fidgety thing was more comfortable!] And now that guy's technically a part of me.... So I guess I sort of inherited his powers.
