[He should have felt something. And maybe, on some level, he did. On some deeply buried level Waver Velvet was screaming and cursing and hating himself. But outwardly, there was nothing. His dead-eyed expression hadn't faltered or even twitched as things unfolded to their conclusion. It was only logical this situation should end this way, and sentiment only served to get in the way of logic.]

['Waver Velvet' couldn't live through this fight. He wasn't someone who could survive this tower, and 'Waver Velvet' was not someone that could help the tower's population survive past summer.]

[Pulling Gae Buidhe back and holding it at his side, the second Lord El-Melloi glanced over his shoulder to Nyx without saying a word. There was no need to say anything; their obvious course of action was simple logic.]
