Diarmuid takes a deep, shaky breath to calm himself before answering, "It wasn't suppose to be about revenge. It was suppose to be about protecting people, but I..."

His voice trails off, and after a moment, he sighs, "Blame will do nothing. I know what I have to do now. This will make me stronger and I'm not going to make these mistakes again. This is over. All of it!"

He pounds his fist into the floor. Probably not the best idea considering how it jars his wound, but Diarmuid doesn't even so much as wince.
