Carving [Open]
Characters: Nesir Aeser and you
Setting: Workshop floor
Format: I'll follow you
Summary: Nesir recovers from December and spends some time in the workshop
Warnings: none so far
Nesir went to the workshop for quite a practical reason, since recieving her poison kit as some kind of twisted reward she had a job to do. The cloak she had been given by Chidori, which she had to admit had probably saved her in the coldest days of December, needed modified, nothing big just a few hidden pockets like what she had in the sleeves of her uniform. It only took about an hour and then her cloak was back on, because even though the heating was back on it was still Winter and Nesir liked being warm.
She was about to leave when she was drawn to the wood and the tools, not the strange looking tools that worked on their own, just the basic tools that Ral had taught her to use. It had been a long time since she had carved, since before she lost her fingers at least but she had nothing better to do and it had always been something that helped calm her.
And in this place she needed all the calm she could get. She sat back down after gathering what she needed and started work on the lump of wood.
Anyone who knew Nesir well would not be blamed for assuming she was making something practical, a weapon of some kind. But as it started to take shape it looked more like a flower, rough work, it was hard when her dominant hand was damaged and she had never been good at carving in the first place despite Ral's teaching.
She was lost in work and for a moment, if you really didn't know her, she looked almost innocent.

Rei had picked up a habit of coming to the workshop every once in a while. There were always people working on interesting things in there.

"I do just be carving, I did be thinking the wood do be belonging to everyone."

Rei peers over the other girl's shoulder.
"Wow, you're good at this. That's really pretty!"

She doesn't seem to notice the suspicion.
"But I bet that would look nice in your hair or as a present for someone else.

She scowled and stared at the piece.

She frowns a little when she sees the sudden scowl.
"What's wrong?"

"It would still look pretty anywhere. I know, maybe you can run a business selling these for food or something."

He had yet to notice her missing fingers. As for him... he had gotten off scot-free. He had easy objects to retrieve for his bill... what a lucky little jerk he was.

But for the moment she was assuming he had also suffered a similar painful death and so smiled back in greeting. "Just carving, there did be lots of wood. What do you be doing?"

"Hm," she hummed slightly, keep a close eye on her, knowing how tightly wound the girl could be. "That is very interesting."

That didn't mean she would like to be anywhere near her unarmed, Nesir was many things but she was not a complete idiot. She shrugged and looked at the carving, "It do be a hair piece, or will be when it do be finished." Her cheeks went a little red at being caught making something so frivolous by someone not a light addled idiot.

Truthfully it had been an attempt at anger management, but she wasn't about to admit that. She still wasn't convinced that creating things out of wood was a more productive way of dealing with over bubbling rage than destroying everything in her path.
But it got her in less trouble.

She blushed at the words, "I do no be having them as a rule. But he did be an idiot and did be insisting. He did be useful sometimes."
And if Rise called her friend and was nice to her... well she was useful too.
no subject
"Ah, one of those. You're quite right, people like that are useful."

"What do you be doing here?" She couldn't really imagine Catarina making things but she couldn't really speak on things that people didn't expect her to be doing.
