it's not a cry you hear at night (backdated to the 21st)
Characters: Hallelujah (possibly Allelujah) and anyone.
Setting: Floor 39 (gymnasium) (day), Floor 75 (tower) (night)
Format: Either.
Summary: Hallelujah has grown frustrated with Allelujah's silence, and has taken to trying to beat out his frustration on anything and everything.
Warnings: Talk of Richtofen which itself is a warning, mentions of vivisection, character death, gore. Also heavy swearing and violence warnings as per usual with Hallelujah.
[Floor 39]
[Every goddamn day he comes here, and every goddamn day he trains. All the details are fuzzy, but he's still determined to get even stronger than he already is in order to kick that guy's ass. He can't explain how that horrible experience made him feel - upset, angry, afraid. The last one is an emotion he's never supposed to feel. So how does this even work? He's not a person. He's just part of one.]
[He punches the punching bag again and again, the fabric starting to split. He has some fabric wrapped around his knuckles but they're also starting to grow red.]
[Floor 75]
[A Chocobo zooms out of the darkness, making a line for Hallelujah. He doesn't care. The birdlike creature is met with a roar, Hallelujah reaching out to grab the thing by the neck and twist, breaking it. He kicks the body, over and over.]
Dammit, just answer me! Stop fucking hiding!
[A Bullfairy flies at him, interested, but he grabs it from the air and squeezes, crushing it.]
Say something!
[He carries on like this for a while, not caring if anyone comes up the stairs and hears him. He's already thought of as crazy, so who the hell cares?]

[Anise is sitting off to one side, and up until now it had probably been pretty easy to ignore her. She's good at staying quiet when she doesn't want to draw attention to herself, but with the punching bag starting to split, now seems like a good a time as ever to speak up.]
So what happened? Someone you know get sent home?
no subject
[He punctuates the sentence with a powerful jab to the bag, which is now starting to leak sand. He rolls his eyes and unlatches it. He'll look for a new one in a minute.]
[He turns to face the girl, rolling his eyes.]
No. He's still here, he just won't fucking talk.

Do you always get this mad when someone gives you the cold shoulder?

[Did she hear that right? She can't have heard that right. Anise stares at him with an expression that is equal parts curious and perturbed.]
What do you mean by that?
no subject
It's annoying as hell.
no subject
But how can the other you just get all quiet like that? If he's in there somewhere, can't you hear his thoughts or something? I mean, it's your mind. ...his mind.
...this is confusing.

[Anise frowns. She's never really dealt with something like that before, so she's honestly not sure what kind of a solution there might be.]
Is there anyone around here who's good with minds, or something? Maybe they could draw him out.
no subject
[... He's quiet for a moment.]
We've had enough people messing with our head.
no subject
[Anise shrugs.]
If you're upset and he's not even functioning... that'll make it hard to stand up to whatever might happen next. And next month is supposed to be Jason's month, right? I don't think anyone's going to like that.

[He growls a little bit.]
That's part of the reason why it's so fucking frustrating.
no subject
...well, I'd probably get someone to try and look into my mind first if it was someone I could trust, but there's not a lot of people like that here. [That she can trust, she means.]
