Bitty Meeting

Characters: Romeo, Ken and every bitty
Setting: Floor 95
Format: Either and all
Summary: Bitty meeting! For those that don't know, Ken and Romeo run a group for all the under 14s in the tower to help each other, get through bad times and work out ways to help the adults. Every character aged 14 and under is welcome, Romeo left notes in all those he knows the name of and knows (or thinks) are under 14, but he was also handing out posters to anyone who looked 14 or under. If your character is under 14 but looks older they are welcome as long as they convince Ken and Romeo they are not spies.
Warnings: Generic Animus warnings

The actual meeting is taking part on one of the ledges over the ball pit. Romeo has brought up food and drinks and they are laid out. Anyone he knows is gestured in and anyone new who looks nervous is approached (with great enthusiasm.) They haven't had a meeting in a long time and Romeo doesn't even know if everyone is still in the tower anymore.

He put notes in everyone's mailbox, but not everyone had mailboxes and even Romeo didn't know everyone so he had also handed out invitations to anyone he thought was under fourteen. He just hoped people came.

There was a lot of things they needed to talk about, and a lot of ways they could help each other. It was important they all worked together
fragileprophet: (So that's how that works...)

Aaaaand my other bitty boy might as well come, too!

"Ah, it seems I came to the right floor."

Ion smiles as he muses this to himself, stepping off into the 95th floor to join the rest of the children. As he looks around, he notices he's one of the oldest here (at least physically), but supposes there's no harm in seeing what this supposed meeting is all about.

"I hope I'm not too terribly late..."

It was a good thing that the floor had been so close to the dorms, otherwise it probably would've taken him even longer to arrive. As it were, he already felt a bit winded from the journey, his face a shade more pale than it should've. Ion wasn't going to let it bother him. He didn't want to make a poor impression, especially when, looking around, he wasn't familiar with most (if not all) of the youth he could see scattered around the floor.

Ion smiles gently at the enthusiastic response. "I'm glad to hear it; I wouldn't have wanted to make a poor impression due to tardiness."

Of course, it wasn't as if he really knew what the topics of discussion were going to be, precisely, but Ion of all people knew how important it could be to put your best foot forward in meetings, regardless of how young its participants were. Children deserved to be treated with just as much respect and maturity as adults did--sometimes, even more.

"Everyone seems to be in such good spirits," he comments as he looks around him and folds his hands in front of him. It was amazing--how these children could be holding up so well amidst the horrors of the Tower--maybe even better than him. But it gave him hope, too. Already, he felt relieved he had chosen to come.

"That's very true." Of course, it was much easier said than done, at least in Ion's case. He did understand the merit of putting on a cheerful face in the midst of the unspeakable to keep morale strong and friends together...but it was more-often-than-naught just that: a face. But it was clear to Ion that Romeo's cheer was more than just a face. It sunk deeper into him and it radiated unlike an earnest, but still false, imitation. "I think I'll be able to learn a lot from these meetings, and from you."
fragileprophet: (I think so too!)

"Alright," Ion agrees pleasantly, moving forward in order to do so. "If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to start with you."

He holds out his hand in greeting. "My name is Ion. It's a pleasure to have made your acquaintance."

When the green-haired boy arrived and spoke out loud, Yotsuba couldn't help but turn toward him, ball in hand, and smile before wandering over to him.

"It's not too late! Come aboard! It's lots of fun right now and we'll have a huuge meeting later on where we can help each other! Who are you though? Are you a good person?!"
fragileprophet: (I'm so glad!)

Ion smiles down at the girl who approached him--she looked to be...roughly, about half his age? Of course, Ion knew that appearances could be deceiving (he was proof of that, himself, as was his friend Luke), but it was still a bit surprising to someone quite so young in the Tower. He hoped dearly that she hadn't been met with too much trouble in her stay here, though Ion knew better than to count on that.

"I see!" For her, he paints his face with appropriate enthusiasm (though Ion's enthusiasm was barely enthusiastic by normal standards). It was quite easy; her cheerful attitude felt contagious already. "I certainly hope I'm a good person--I try to be. My name is Ion. How about you?"

Not that he doubted she was a good person. Or that someone so young could be anything other than innocent and good.

Sadly, Yotsuba had quite a bit of trouble here, but she still clung to hope, thanks to the promises and explanations of other people, along with her own sunny outlook on things. Plus, getting a weapon helped things.

"I'm Yotsuba Koiwai! It's nice to meet you, Ion! Wanna play?!"

While young children could be quite cruel and evil, Yotsuba, thankfully, was not. At least, not more so than any other young child.
fragileprophet: (That's cute. You're cute.)

"It's nice to meet you, as well, Yotsuba." Looking around at the children running around in the ball pit and having fun, Ion seemed contemplative for a moment. Not wanting to disappoint her, however, he nods. "Alright. I'm afraid I don't have very much energy to spare, but I'll do my best!"

Not that Yotsuba really noticed the contemplative moment, for better or worse. Her smile just grew, and she let out a happy cheer.

"That's okay! Just do your best! You'll be fine!"

And with that, Yotsuba would toss the ball she was holding at Ion.

Ion catches the ball as it comes his way, glad for once that he didn't have his staff to worry about juggling, and beams pleasantly at the girl across from him. Turning it over in his gloved hands for a moment, getting used to it's rubbery texture, he tosses it carefully back her way.

He wasn't so weak he couldn't have thrown it harder, but wouldn't that have been quite an uncalled for, rude action?

"Thank you for inviting me to play with you," he adds suddenly. Thinking about it, Ion realizes that such an invitation isn't exactly common. Not that he never engaged in frivolities back on Auldrant, but it had become an increasingly rare occurrence. Especially when Anise wasn't involved. It was nice to feel included.

Yotsuba managed to catch the ball, which surprised her, as she had never really played catch before, but she just laughed before throwing the ball back at Ion.

"You're welcome! It's always fun to play with good people!"

For Yotsuba, playing with other people was pretty common, but thanking someone for playing seemed like something a really polite person might do, so instead of sounding odd to her, it just made her think that Ion had super nice manners.
