...As the struggle seemed to go on, I decided...
Characters: Marceline and anyone hankerin' for a slice of monster fighting.
Setting: The hallways and anywhere monsters might be.
Format: Starting in prose but I'll be glad to match you!
Summary: Marceline is tired of these lumpin' monsters in her lumpin' space, and she intends to do something about it. Even if it means she's going about it alone (though hopefully not for long).
Warnings: Probably blood and gore. Marceline learning new words depending on who joins. Will update if it changes.
She had taken the strings off her bass in preparation- she didn't have many after all, and she didn't know if she'd be able to get more. The connection for her amp had been stopped up by a little carved dowel, and Marceline was ready for this. She'd been watching the new guests in the tower, the ones who didn't seem confused as to why they were there. The ones they'd all fought when this place went topsy-turvy. There were fewer in the day. Weaker ones. It was a common tactic, take out the enemy while they were weakest. And while she normally wouldn't want to lower herself to such tactics, Marceline knew it was the only real chance they had. Fewer people were awake at night. And the stronger ones came out then. She wasn't taking chances.
With that thought in her head, she tugged her wide-brimmed hat on (no sense in taking chances with that either), made sure her gloves were pulled up, and set out, floating off with her axe in hand. It was time to kick some butt and do something about making sure this place she seemed to be forced to call home for the time being was going to be safe.

"Headed out to kill some monsters, no big thing."

"I prefer to fight them at night buuuuuuuut, I'll do you a favor and help you out."

"They're weaker in the day, it's a tactical advantage. Let's go."

Vriska shrugged, flitting closer as she pulled her dice out. This could be fun. Like killing throngs of imps all over again. And she could take her anger at the tower out on its stupid monsters. Yeah, that'd make her feel better about Kanaya disappearing.
"Start walking and let's find some enemies."

"Dunno, I get a weird feeling about some of those ones running around at night. And pssh, please. Walking's so lame." Marceline laughed- it was so much easier to float, and it looked cooler anyway.

She shrugged, flitting down the hallway. "Walk, fly, I don't really care! Just start moving."

She zipped away, as fast as she could, a laugh on her lips. "Try and keep up," she called.

"Try not to get killed!"
She kept an eye out for any signs of monsters. She sort of wished they were as many in number as the imps from Sgrub were, instead of just being here or there.

Her axe is at the ready in seconds, and she can practically feel her nerves buzzing- in anticipation, mostly, not so much fear. "Less blabber, more dead monsters!" she calls.

Vriska stopped her advance to toss her dice to the floor. One force of luck later, and they landed on eights. 8^y. Her Ancestral Awakening, which was really the best way to handle a bunch of monsters. Maybe later she would show off with the guillotine. After the glowing blue aura passed, she was left rocking a different outfit and gripping a sword.
She dashed forward, to where she saw a shadow moving. It wasn't her style to let monsters come to her. Especially when she's got her greatness to prove.
Sorry for the late replies.
Another shadow flitted past, and Marceline leveled her axe to face it. Best to worry about herself and the opponent in front of her, rather than anyone else.
