Summary: Silver is not pleased with his new job.
Warnings: An irritated Silver.

He was glad that he'd brought the pair of gloves. They'd certainly been useful with keeping his hands safe from the scalding water in the washer. The laundry room was far too hot to keep his jacket on so he'd shucked it off to the side while he worked. The results were burns on both his bare arms. Silver had put he jacket back on after that. No matter how uncomfortable it was, it was much better than getting burned. Transferring the wet bedsheets into the hot dryer was just as big of a pain, and when they were dry, only half the battle had been fought. Back up the stairs, Silver made his way towards each dormitory, spreading each bed sheet back onto each bed. It was no easy job, but it certainly could have been worse. Still, Silver did not appreciate being referred to as a 'maid'.

Mercedes did not like the job any more than he did, but she paused at the door curiously, setting the load she'd been carrying down. She probably wasn't supposed to stop for chit-chat, but she didn't think it really mattered either way.

"You'll get used to the burning eventually," she lied, hoping to at least simmer down his grump.

Silver glanced in the girl's direction before eying the load of laundry she'd been carrying. Had she been assigned the same task? "I hope so," he mused quietly. It was his first day at work, so of course it was not going to be easy.

He frowned slightly as he smoothed out the wrinkles of the bedsheet. "Hey, how long have you been here for?"

"Almost a month now," she said, after thinking about it. Had it really been that long? She'd thought longer, but then again she is learning new things each day.

She decided she would wait to see if he needed help. "You've arrived just recently?"
