[o1] ✦ Laughing off everything ✧
Characters: Ghirahim (
lordoffabulous) and his roomies at room 1-02, or whoever else!
Setting: 1: Room 1-02, 2 wandering the halls and floors; exploring! Also, this is post the present event, just to give a little timeline.
Format: Baby I can go any way you can go, but action spam is generally faster~
Summary: Ghirahim wakes up in the Tower. He is not a happy Demon Lord, not at all. He then proceeds to go exploring, hoping to learn a bit more about his surroundings.
Warnings: ... Ghirahim. Sparkles. Glam. Fabulous. In all seriousness, MAJOR spoilersprobably IN THE FIRST THREAD for Skyward Sword!
[1 - Room 1-02]
[ The sleep paralysis hadn't frightened him. Truthfully, NOTHING frightened Ghirahim; he was rather a bit of a madman in his own right, and to be frightened by something that he had been attempting to achieve in the first place, albeit in a sort of different way, would make his position to his Master rather... unnecessary.
Speaking of his Master? He was furious. How dare that Sky Child stand in his way, time and time again? He SHOULD have killed him. ... But truthfully, he had failed on that front, as a servant and as his Master's second in command. Because... he didn't kill Link yet.
Frustrating. Aggravating. So many other words. But he'd deal, for now.
So when he awoke, the first thing he did was read the letter, crumple it up, and laugh. If his roommates were awake or there to see it, they would notice Ghirahim begin digging through his trunk, continuing to laugh quietly. He wasn't bothered by the suit, to be honest.
He's definitely one of the stranger looking types with that haircut, one pointed ear and the one round one... but if you thought that was odd, you haven't seen much yet. Anyone with any sort of extra senses will be able to feel he isn't human in the least; far, far from it. But one can't QUITE pin what they might feel, it's between something... demonic, but not quite. ]
[2 - Exploring and teleporting about the Tower ]
[ After he'd had some time to clean up, it was time to figure this place out. (Read: put on his make up, change his clothes--though he didn't find the suit terribly irritating, he DID like his usual one more--and then proceed to, of course, brush his hair. Lipstick, eyeliner, the whole nine yards.) Somehow, he felt tired, but that was fine. It was a new day. He would ascertain his surroundings before making any decisions on how to punish whoever was foolish enough to 'save' him.
Wherever this was, he set off from the dorms, quietly exploring the other floors. By foot?
Oh, of course not! Not if he could help it, anyway. Once he's gotten his bearings, you may be surprised to find a man teleporting (looking just like this, clothes to how he appears in front of you with magic) in front of you in the rooms where teleportation inside them, but not outside, is possible.
In fact, he seems to be looking to have a bit of a... conversation. ]
You, there. Indulge me for a moment, won't you? These collars. HOW do you get them off? I realize they went to the trouble of matching my outfit, which I can certainly appreciate, but it's... constricting.
[ ooc: please specify a floor and 1 or 2 in the title! ♥ Also, again, please tell me if spoilers bother you and I will try to keep away from them! ]

I'm hurt. You and I have far more history than you care to remember, dear girl!
[ He just teleports, seemingly away, but is actually on her other side, smirking. ]
Your magic won't do anything to me. You're nowhere near the threat you seem to think you are. Not when I can easily outmatch it. So why don't you just settle down and listen, hmm?

[Oh geeze he's doing the teleport thing. The evil energy is a fairly easy giveaway, though, and she turns quickly, not letting him out of her sight for more than a moment.]
Do not take me for a fool - for all your pleasantries, your evil intent is clear. I have no wish to hear what you have to say.
that. was supposed to be "if he's at all bothered he isn't showing it" orz
[ Have a gentlemanly bow, despite that evil aura. ]
I am the Demon Lord, Ghirahim. Let me tell you an interesting story... it's actually quite relevant to your history and that of your little Hero, so you should listen closely.
[ And he turns his back, disappearing again, only to reappear pacing from behind another corner in the gallery. ]
A long time ago, there was a great war. Though I say great, really, it was rather one-sided. My Master, myself, and all the other demons under his command had decided that it was time humans stopped ruling the Surface...
[ Now, he brings his arms up, in a dramatic sweeping gesture, and sighs forlornly. ]
Humans were nothing more than stains on our blades... yes, it was such a good time to be alive! But humans will always find a way to cling to life like the rats they are, so they prayed to the Goddess who had been sent to protect the power WE needed by the Goddesses of old... and she put them on an outcropping, and sent them far above our grasp, then united with the remaining inferior beings to try and stop us...
[ Here, he shakes his head. ]
It was quite irritating, you know. But at the same time... Hylia herself was waging war with me... and my Master. It was wonderful...
S'okay, I've been typoing up a storm today. /patpat
The story is not altogether unfamiliar. She remembers being told bedtime stories of the sky people, how they had descended from the heavens to found what would become Hyrule. But she has always been more focused on learning about the Triforce and the Sages.
Besides, there is absolutely no reason she should take what this... demon says as truth. So she stays silent, letting him monologue, and hoping his dramatics will distract him from the fact that she is slowly inching her way towards the staircase.]
He can monologue and pay attention Zelda B(
He snaps his fingers, and a little cage is (yes, again, enjoy it!) created from the same, odd diamond-like magic around her.
She'll find it quite impenetrable. HIS magic is not to be toyed with. ]
Didn't I TELL you to stay put, dear girl? You are a VERY poor audience, after all. I AM only trying to help you understand your little light powers and the role of your little Hero. The Sky Child's descendant, if what I am guessing is correct.
[1/2] ...It was worth a shot. :(
[2/2]
Yeah, she is not a happy camper right now.]
I am the Seventh Sage. He is the Hero of Time. Our roles are not mysteries to us.
[1/2]
It would seem even without your little twig to guard you, you are incredibly persistent and stubborn. My girl, do you really understand what I am saying?
These are your powers. It is not your role as either of these things; those may have also been handed to you, but surely there were some things you COULDN'T explain...?
[ He casts a longing gaze at her, nostalgic. ]
How I mourn your former glory... you were a beautiful, highly difficult adversary to fight for my Master and I... yes, when we fought you, the blood that was spilled was precious and rare...
[ He tilts his head here, eyes shut, and frowns. ]
Ah, to be in those times again... why you abandoned that form I will NEVER understand! And now look at you, unaware you were ever great to begin with... it's positively saddening... even if I cut you now, you know, it would never be the same... you see, the Goddess did something unforgivable. She sealed my Master away, with her powers. She cheated, because she knew he was stronger. She couldn't win, so she sacrificed her beautiful form for that of a mere human girl...
[2/2]
My dear, YOU are the reincarnation of the Goddess Hylia. I would give anything to taste her blood again, but alas, you are just a shell with some of her powers... I am certain the memories are dormant because she locked them unless they were specifically brought back, of course; a smart move, to keep herself safe.
[ And then he turns, and GLARES, expression going from melancholy to ANGER. ]
However... your little Hero must be the boy she created to uphold that seal on my poor Master... the boy's ancestry that destroyed him...! And I cannot forgive that... oh, no, I cannot. Unthinkable, that a mere human boy and his pathetic sword could defeat my Master...!
[ He POUNDS a hand on that cage, which, thankfully is solid enough to take it, as the room strains under the immense weight of his warping angry magic. ]
...I feel as if I should note that I have no idea what I'm doing.
And yet... something deep within her heart stirs at the mention of Hylia.
Goddesses, what is going on? Flickers of confusion make their way into her glare, which falls away completely when he pounds on the cage. She gasps, presses herself against the back wall, and for just a moment, how scared she truly is becomes visible in her features.
But the pound also shocks her out of her confusion, and she manages to speak, if a bit shakily.]
If what you say is true... if I am a 'shell of this "Hylia", then why bother with me? Unless your master was Ganondorf, the Hero of Time and I have nothing to do with him.
[1/2] OH WELL I DON'T REALLY EITHER but hey. also, he mad.
That name... "Ganondorf". Could it... no, no. His Master's grudge, though... perhaps...? ]
... Ganondorf? No, my holder, my Master... is... Demise. You see, he fought Hylia but she SEALED HIM AWAY, casting away her beautiful body to a human one... the girl, I believe she is... WAS your ancestor.
Zelda.
She also created the little Hero and his sword, the Goddess Sword... she set the tools in place for Link to forge it into a blade to rival even my Master's, of course... he made little Fi into the Master Sword, but that sword is the only reason he lives... I could have killed him so many times... I didn't! I was generous, I let him live... but I was more powerful. I obtained her spirit and I gave it away and I WON, I won, despite that incessant brat's attempts--!
[ He is breathing heavily now. ] For all of my efforts, when I was finally back in my place where I belonged... with... my Master... by his side... why... WHY...
[ He is genuinely angry once more, pointed fangs barred as he glares at Zelda, bringing his arms to his head. And in this brief moment, there is the flashes of something--darker, behind his appearance.
Black. Evil. ]
WHY DOES HE LIVE AND NOT MY MASTER?! Why--no, how did he kill my Master TWICE, he wasn't WORTHY of the Power of the Gods, he did nothing worth obtaining it...! IT BELONGED TO US! We fought that war to obtain it, not you worthless humans who wouldn't even face us on the battlefield, us...!
[2/2]
... Oh, but I am getting rather carried away... I apologize. Though you know, girl, that if you search your mind, you will find everything I'm saying is true! Hylia's powers dwell within you even now... perhaps on a more diluted level, but it is there, waiting to be fully used...
[ Then he's disappearing and reappearing inside that little cage, appearance back to normal, but there's a bloodlust in his eyes. Worse than before, nearly.
And he approaches Zelda, grabbing her and lifting her by her neck. As he does so, the cage disappears and he holds her against a wall, grip tight enough not to let go, but just loose enough not to completely choke her. He doesn't care what she does at the moment, because he believes no amount of magic could EVER harm him, and he's too emotional--the wounds of his last battle are too fresh for him to even consider thinking before acting at this point.
He holds his other hand out, because one is quite enough to pin Zelda, given his strength, and a long, thin, black rapier with a red jewel on the hilt appears in it by the same sort of magic he has been using, though the diamonds are black. He holds it up to her, near her neck, where his other hand is, and licks his lips maliciously, tilting his head and narrowing his eyes. ]
So I wonder... I do wonder, your Highness, what do you think would happen if I bled you completely dry?
As much as I'd love to know, you are going to tell me every... single... thing... you know about this "Ganondorf", and you will do it now... or we'll find out. And I can guarantee that will not be as much fun for you as it is for me.
[1/2]
[In a whirlwind of confusion and bewilderment, there is one thing that strikes her as familiar. The Master Sword. The Blade of Evil's Bane. Hyrule's most legendary blade. It was forged... by a Link?
It was the only thing capable of harming the Evil King--
Before she gets a chance to ponder the implications of that, Ghirahim is right there and his hand is around her neck and oh, Goddesses, protect her. She gasps for air, instinctively clawing at the hand holding her. She... she can't die here! Not after everything!]
... G-Ganondorf is a man...
[... Even if she tells him, it's entirely likely he'll kill her anyway. But what can she do...?]
... who...
[2/2]
... She has to try.]
... who is none of your concern!
[With that, she reaches out towards the demon lord's face, and concentrates a blast of magic light right at his eyes. She holds nothing back - every ounce of magic she has, every bit of goddessly power, both Hylia and Nayru, goes into this once strike.
If she must go down, she'll go down fighting.]

It's enough to momentarily blind him momentarily, at least, and it is painful. He snarls inhumanly, dropping the girl and shouting loud threats as he summons up floating daggers to (he hopes) chase her while he is unable to find her himself. ]
You are most certainly her... yes, just as irritating as ever... one way or another, I will get what I need from you...!
[ He rubs his eyes angrily. ]
This isn't over... my Master laid a curse on your bloodline, child... that his hatred would forever cause you and the hero who defeated him to be locked in bitter, bloody war, and if I'm right--and I so often am--then I WILL find his reincarnation and will use you... to help me restore him to his former glory.
If we meet again... I will make the process more excruciating than you can possibly fathom, dear girl.
[ And with a twirl of his blade and a black trail following it, he's gone. This is SO not over, Zelda. SO not over. ]
