[The Handmaid has decided that being "careful" like the Summoner insists is really, really boring. She's sitting on the ramp that leads up and around the outside of the tower, her legs dangling over the edge as she tosses pebbles off of the side. Sometimes, she wonders what would happen if she jumped. She can't die, so does that mean she might actually be able to escape the tower? But there's surely some sort of caveat, so she hasn't tried it just yet.]

[Minami is in the process of exploring the Tower and, naturally, has found the ramp and decided to have a walk when she comes across the Handmaid.

Despite herself, she stares for a few minutes. Sure, she's seen a couple Trolls in the Tower, but they do look weird and obviously alien, especially to someone who isn't used to nonhumans walking around like every day people.

She shakes herself out of it. Best way to get used to things is to dive right in, right? So she approaches the Handmaid with a friendly wave and a smile.]

Hi! Nice view, isn't it?

[Jeez, she will never get over how unguarded and cheerful humans are. She shrugs.]

It might be nicer if we could leave.

[Oh, if only she knew how nervous Minami really was. She's just really good at hiding it. Usually.]

I think that's a given, Miss. Everything here would be a lot better if we could go.

Obviously.

[So polite and talkative!]

[The most polite and talkative person ever! And seeing as she is just so polite and talkative and Minami is in more of a thinky mood, she's just going to herself down a few feet away from the Handmaid and watch the scenery with her.

What? She wasn't kidding when she said it's a nice view!]

[THANK GOD. Someone who can just stay quiet for a while. The Handmaid actually relaxes slightly.]

[The best part? She stays quiet!

For about a half an hour. Even then she only speaks up to ask:]

Is it okay if I come hang out here tomorrow, Miss? Or would you prefer to be left alone?

[entropied]

[She blinks over, hesitating for a moment.]

I don't mind.

[The fact that she didn't say "I don't care" is a stunning event!]

[Very stunning! If Minami knew what a momentous occasion was she'd probably have an internal happy dance going on!]

[And she gets up, dusting off her skirt.]

I'll see you tomorrow then. It was nice to hang out with you.

[She starts off on her rounds again and is about to go around the curve when she realizes something.]

Oh! I'm Minami, by the way! What's your name?

[She hesitates again, just for a second.]

Coleta.

[It's still kind of weird using an actual name.]

That's a really pretty name. It suits you.

[She blinks, clearly completely shocked by that statement. No one has ever really complimented her before, so she has no idea how to take it or react.

So she just... Nods... Awkwardly...]

[Minami only smiles at the awkwardness and waves.]
