[The Handmaid has decided that being "careful" like the Summoner insists is really, really boring. She's sitting on the ramp that leads up and around the outside of the tower, her legs dangling over the edge as she tosses pebbles off of the side. Sometimes, she wonders what would happen if she jumped. She can't die, so does that mean she might actually be able to escape the tower? But there's surely some sort of caveat, so she hasn't tried it just yet.]

[ Dolorosa was still getting used to sunlight, but sometimes she'd come down to the open floors to admire it. She preferred the eleventh floor, but it was a much longer walk while she was hobbling on her staff, so the twentieth would often do.

As she came down from the stairs, she noticed someone else out on the ledge, and decided too say hello. She hangs back a little though, not being thrilled with the downward view. ]

I would be mindful of such a drop, personally. The fall seems as though it might be particularly unpleasant.

I won't fall.

[...So talkative.]

[mamadonna]

[ She just takes the most tentative glance towards the edge before backing down again with a frown.]

No, I should certainly hope you do no such thing. But it remains a lovely day, does it not?

[entropied]

[She shrugs, looking unimpressed.]

What does that matter?

[mamadonna]

[ She clasps her in front of her, nodding to indicate the horizon. ]

Well, it does present rather a formidable sight, would you not agree? It carries a degree of appeal that cannot be appreciated on a pragmatic level, as there's little to be gained though idle study of such a distant view. Yet, at the same time, it appeals to that purely aesthetic center of one's mind, and seen in the appropriate manner, may serve even to expand that portion to greater considerations in the future.

[Just... staring...]

[mamadonna]

[ Oh, she looks a little embarrassed now. ]

You're right, it's perhaps preferable to simply enjoy it without such involved vocal examination.

[ And she eases herself down to the ground, still well away from the edge, and lays her staff across her lap with a smile. ]

[entropied]

[These revolutionaries are all so stubborn.]

Probably.

[mamadonna]

[ They all want to be her friend, not being their friend just isn't an option!!!! ]

I hope your day has progressed without any unhappy incident. Or, even with the addition of pleasantness, should you have been so fortunate.

[entropied]

[She shrugs. Why can't anyone just sit down and stay quiet?]

[mamadonna]

[ Silence is scary and awkward! But then she had just said a moment ago that her own talking so much was probably spoiling the moment. ]

I see. My apologies.

[ And so she sits and enjoys the view, peeking uncomfortably over the edge every now and then, or glancing at the other troll with an expectant smile before turning her gaze back to the horizon. ]

[entropied]

[The Handmaid shifts awkward, and after a few moments:]

Why do you keep looking at me like that?

[mamadonna]

[ Oh, how rude of her, she should really be more attentive of how she's affecting the comfort of this troll. ]

My apologies. It's simply that I have yet to encounter many strangers of our race in a less electronic context. It's something of a curious concept, given the number of which I've seen displayed through that method previously.

[entropied]

[She shrugs, shifting her weight again.]

There are a lot of us here.

[mamadonna]

[ She looks a little sheepish now. ]

Perhaps, yes. But I still had yet to meet any that I wasn't previously acquainted with, prior to yourself and the other young rustblood. I have much still to do for the purpose of better acclimating myself, apparently.
