[The Handmaid has decided that being "careful" like the Summoner insists is really, really boring. She's sitting on the ramp that leads up and around the outside of the tower, her legs dangling over the edge as she tosses pebbles off of the side. Sometimes, she wonders what would happen if she jumped. She can't die, so does that mean she might actually be able to escape the tower? But there's surely some sort of caveat, so she hasn't tried it just yet.]

[Oh. After a second or so, she pulls her legs back up onto the walkway and scoots closer to the wall.]

I'm fine.

[uprisings]

[Well that's... kind of a relief. He'd actually rather she just... get off the ramp thing entirely, but okay]

What are you, doing out here...? [Stops beside her, though he makes sure to keep a fair bit of space between himself and the edge]

[entropied]

[She shrugs, looking up at him.]

I'm bored.

[uprisings]

[Wants to sit next to her...]

[...no he doesn't. Just gonna continue standing here, looking back down to her. Have a faint, thoughtful pause here for a moment... and then: ]

Have you eaten yet today...?

[entropied]

[Blink. What a random question.]

No. Why?

[uprisings]

[IT'S NOT A RANDOM QUESTION SHUT UP]

Me neither. We should go, eat something. [Offers... a hand???]

[entropied]

[She pauses, staring at his hand for a moment before glancing back up at him and slipping her hand into his. It's weird, but... Nice weird.]

[uprisings]

[Huu 8'> Helps her up and... well if she wants to hold hands he's okay with that? But he assumes probably she wants to drop it??]

[Either way, he starts wandering towards the stairs now]

You know that uh... restaurant? That appeared? We should go there. [sobs he's just really sick of stuffing his face with cafeteria food okay]

[She follows! She's considering dropping his hand but still... Holding it for now...]

Okay.

[uprisings]

[Oh! What a pleasant surprise. Well okay, then he'll squeeze her hand a little, happy that she's going along with it. Happy... in a terribly pale way. Sighs, he really does need to get this under control someday... Not today though!!!]

Have you eaten there before...?

[Oh no stop she's getting all blushy! She shakes her head at his question, though.]

Do you think it's safe?

Mm. [Little head shake] Probably not.

[SHE IS GIVING HIM SUCH A LOOK?]

We are not, looking for trouble though...! We are getting something, to eat. If trouble happens to uh, also be there. Then that is not really, our fault, is it?

[Whatever she has to watch out for you anyway, Summoner!!!

They are totally still holding hands.]

[They totally are and it's cute as fuck. The Summoner's actually sort of forgot about it tbh! He's terrible affectionate so he falls into this surprisingly easily]

That's right...! [AND LOOK here they are 8> Wanders on over to the... seating stand idek where they inform them that they will need to find ten porcupine quills, and the Summoner is dumb so he just kinda... AGREES TO IT without thinking]

[...at least until he does think, and turns to the Handmaid. Confused......]
