Setting: Room 1-05, dorm halls.
Format: Prose to start, will follow if you want it different.
Summary: Lina wakes up and puts two and two together to equal potato. Also, this is going on amidst all the stuff with the chocolates, so feel free to make her a target.
Warnings: Lina herself merits a warning, especially when distraught. And she's very distraught.

Lina snaps awake once the sleep paralysis wears off, then stumbles around the room for a few moments while she attempts to get her bearings. This... This wasn't where she was. This wasn't Sairaag.

There wasn't any kind of obvious noise or anything that gives the indication she was anywhere nearby, either - Copy Rezo's use of Zanaffar's power would definitely be able to be felt if she was near the battle still. However, a quick look out the window prompted Lina to remember what Sylphiel had told her - that the Giga Slave, the spell she had been casting before waking up here, could destroy the world. And that world outside the window didn't look like much of anything.

Was this Hell? Had she actually botched the spell when Sylphiel tried to stop her...?

No. That can't be right, can it? Lina shook her head, taking a steadying breath before running toward the door. "GOURRY! ZELGADIS! AMELIA! SYLPHIEL!"

Oh! You mean-- that kind of party-- oh. [Her eyes go wide, and she belatedly gets to her feet from her chair.

Hearing that makes it a lot easier to be sympathetic, because Willow had left her friends in danger back home as well.] I really am sorry, but, um. You're stuck here for now. Your friends might be here already, or might show up later. Someone's trying to convince us that all of our worlds were destroyed and they saved us and brought us here, but I'm not exactly ready to buy it.

[There's a whiplash of moods - one can pretty well see the effect of the words as they sink in. Lina's prior rage is almost immediately defused, and replaced with numb shock.]

That... That can't be right... _{I didn't botch the spell, I just stopped the incantation...}

Botch the spell? [She perks up. Ohhh spell talk. But first she has to comfort her that it wasn't her fault, because wow, has Willow been there before and it sucks.]

It wasn't you! Like I said, I don't even think our worlds are really destroyed? Sometimes people show up from the future, and it's like... how would that work if it'd really been destroyed? [She rambles on.] So I don't think you need to worry about it, because, the people that run the tower clearly have an ulterior motive, and guilting us into not looking for a way home is probably one of them.

[Lina isn't entirely convinced, though... She nodded along with the explanation, but now she's thinking back.] I was casting a really dangerous spell, though - I was trying to stop a lunatic from killing everyone, and I was interrupted while casting it... And now I'm here.

Well I wouldn't count your chickens just yet. Not saying it's impossible, but...

That would have to be some majorly awry spell in order to accidentally end the world with it.

[There's a sigh and a headscratch. Lina's still uncertain, but given that she didn't complete the incantation, and nothing started blowing up before she found herself here, maybe this girl's on to something.] Maybe...

Well... When you're drawing on the power of the Lord of Nightmares, it's not something you do lightly.

... Uh, yeah. Sounds like it. [She gives her an interested look despite herself, but forcibly wrenches her mind back on topic.]

Anyway, I'm Willow. Why don't I walk you to the cafeteria and tell you how this all works? I promise whatever happened will keep for now.

[Don't worry, Willow - there will be plenty of time to talk magic later.]

Lina Inverse. [For once in her life, though, she wasn't interested in food, but she nods.] I don't suppose you've seen a tall blonde guy with about as much brains of a jellyfish around, have you?

[Oh, good, because she would be majorly disappointed to let that topic drop forever.]

No, sorry. But if I see anyone that sounds suspiciously like a jellyfish, I'll tell him Lina's looking for him.

[Making her way over the stairs, now--] Come on, it's just a couple floors down.

If he's around, he should be looking for me. [At least, she hopes that he'd be looking for her.

She sighs, then follows.] Alright. At least this place is decent enough to have a cafeteria.

Aside from the evil traps, it's not really too bad here. Definitely swankier than I would expect from my previous experiences with kidnapping. That tended to run toward the warehouse end of things.

Traps, huh...?

[Lina nods, looking around the stairwell as they walk down.] Yeah, a big step up from some dank old dungeon. Not being chained up is a plus, too.

Tell me about it. I'm not objecting to the change in genre.

So you have experience with kidnapping? [Which she's using as a lead into the topic she really cares about...] And magic, too?

More than I'd like to admit on the kidnapping, though the magic experience is a cause for it more often than not. It's not easy being skilled, ahaha...

That's what I thought! [she says triumphantly, and looks eager as she leads her into the cafeteria.]

I'm a witch. I use a lot of magic myself-- not usually world ending type magic, though, I try not to take chances with stuff that serious.

[Lina gives Willow a quick glance-over, then raises an eyebrow.] "You don't really dress like any magic-user I've seen, though... [She spares a look down at the white jumpsuit.] Neither am I, currently.

[There's a bit of an awkward look at the comment about the world-ending spells, though.] Well, I was kind of at the end of my rope. Nothing else was working, so...

We're all from different worlds, [she explains readily,] so I probably don't do the same kind of magic as you, like, even remotely. We might not even be from the same planet.

[Willow looks sympathetic at the last bit.] No, it's okay, I know how that goes. I've been there.

Well, I do a lot of different kinds, but given what you said, there might not be overlap... [Might as well give it a shot, though.] Do the schools of black, white, and shamanism exist in your world?
