More chocolate horror

Characters: Suzaku and Minato (OU)
Setting: All of the tower but starting in the cafeteria. Dinner/Evening time
Format: any
Summary: Minato has eaten a pecan chocolate and is in love with monsters. This is a problem for Suzaku who has eaten dark chocolate and is jellous of said monsters. Horrible horrible things happen
Warnings: Jellousy, monsters, probably injury, very likely death, horror.

Suzaku stared at the teddy bear on the table in front of him. He could have sworn it hadn't been here when he had went to get some food. Had someone left it here?

He had received a box of chocolates that morning but hadn't eaten any. Though he had no choice but to eat the food in the cafeteria he wasn't comfortable eating chocolates that claimed to be a cure to this strange infection. If the infection killed him he would just come back, and if he didn't well... it would be for the best.

He bit into the sandwich and frowned. Chocolate... why was chocolate in a turkey sandwich. Frowning he looked up at the footsteps that were approaching...

"...Evening, Suzaku-san."

The footsteps belonged to Minato, who's still at the cafeteria. He was still hungry, which was why there's some food on his tray.

He looked curiously at the other boy, noting the frown. "Is something the matter?"

"Oh Minato." Suzaku nodded at him, glad that he was here. "No, nothing is the matter. Do you wish to sit here." He hoped he did, he didn't want Minato sitting with anyone else.

Part of him vaguely wondered why but was ignored as he waited for Minato to sit down.

"I don't mind sitting here." Minato placed his tray on the table, and then sat down opposite to Suzaku. "How have you been?"

Partly out of concern and partly out of curiosity.

Suzaku nodded, glad that he was sitting here. He shouldn't sit with anyone else, only with Suzaku. "I've been fine, how about you?" He was curious, he wanted to know about Minato's day.

"I've been fine. My days have been pretty quiet for a while." He take a bite out of his sandwich and paused. Odd, did he just taste chocolate?

Suzaku nodded paying complete attention to what Minato was saying. As he paused Suzaku frowned. "What is wrong?"

"There's chocolate in my sandwich." Minato showed the half-eaten pecan chocolate to Suzaku. While it's good, Minato's wary about it.

Suzaku frowned, "There was chocolate in mine as well..." Who had been putting chocolates in the food?

Minato frowned, distrusting these chocolates. When things appear without them knowing, food or otherwise, they're not to be trusted. "I hope they're harmless."

"I hope so too." He frowned, he didn't want anything harming Minato. "I wont let anything happen to you." He sounded serious and though the sentiment was not unusual for Suzaku he was not usually so forward, nor was his tone usually so definite.

No one would get anywhere near Minato, never mind harm him.

"...Thank you." It's been a while since he heard that spoken to him. Too long, by anyone's taste. Minato's usually the one who said it to others, but he'd feel honoured and grateful to hear it. "I'll watch out for you as well."

It's fair enough. Even without Suzaku saying it, he would still do it. No one should get hurt.

Suzaku nodded and blinked wondering if it was just politeness that made Minato say so, "Thank you." He couldn't remember the last time someone had said such a thing to him. He also was usually the one protecting others.

Minato was truly a wonderful person. Suzaku remained silent and just watched him.

After a while, Minato finished eating his food. He ate enough, but not too much. He's planning on walking around some more this evening.

"I'll be walking around soon."

Suzaku sat silently while Minato ate, just silently staring at him taking in his presence. He didn't want to leave him, didn't want anyone else coming near him or talking to him.

At his words Suzaku frowned and nodded, "I will come with you."

Minato blinked, before nodding. He don't mind company and there's always safety in numbers. Against what? Potential danger.

"I don't mind."

Suzaku nodded and finished his food quickly, waiting for Minato to be finished. He wasn't going to leave his side, someone might hurt him, or talk to him. Suzaku didn't even want any one else looking at Minato.

He would stay with him and prevent any such things happening, no one would get near him. At all.

It didn't take Minato very long until he finished his food. If there's one thing anyone can be sure of from him, it's his appetite.

After putting away his tray, he glanced at Suzaku. Let's go.

Suzaku nodded and put away his tray also, following Minato and sticking close to him. Glaring at anyone who passed them, as if they would dare to speak to Minato.

Glancing back at Suzaku, he noticed the glares he's giving to everyone. "...Is something the matter?"

Suzaku shook his head, "No, nothing is wrong." As long as no one came close everything was fine. "Do you have anywhere in mind to go?"

He shook his head. "Not really, I feel like walking around." Sometimes, a walk was what he want to do. Simple and hopefully without distractions.

Suzaku nodded and fell silent again, he didn't mind walking. There wasn't really much else to do. Someone had to keep Minato safe, stop others from coming anywhere near him.

It was quiet as they walk. Minato don't normally initiate a conversation, unless there's something he need to say. He usually let his companion start first and he respond back.

Soon enough, or was it later? Time went by and it's getting late. Later than they're supposed to be out.

"...? Did you hear that?"

Suzaku was very much the same, so it was a quiet walk. Suzaku didn't mind that night had fallen, he didn't want to leave Minato's side.

He turned at the noise and nodded, frowning. He stayed close to Minato, ready for whatever was coming their way.

He frowned and looked at where the noise came from. Minato's right hand grasped his evoker, ready to draw it out at a moment's notice.

Grrr...

He paused, staring at the monster that came from around a corner. His blue eyes slowly widen and he can feel his heart beating hard. This feeling...

Suzaku stood, ready to fight. As the monster came round the corner he slipped into a fighting stance, he knew Minato could fight but he still wanted to protect him. He watched the monster daring it to come closer.

Unlike Suzaku, Minato's still staring at the monster with an odd expression and not getting ready for a possible fight. His grip on his evoker loosen, an almost pleasant feeling grew the closer the monster get to them.

Suzaku stepped forward, glancing sideways at Minato expecting him to have his evoker ready.

He frowned when he saw him, not readying for a fight at all. "Minato?"

Minato snapped out of his trance, looking over at Suzaku.

"...We shouldn't hurt it."

Suzaku blinked in confusion. "Why not?" Because it didn't seem like the monster had such concerns. It was coming closer, it's growls getting louder.

"Because I won't allow it."

Because he cares about the monster, no matter what people thinks. Even as it came closer and closer, its growls growing louder.

Suzaku blinked at him, "Wont..." He looked back at the monster who was coming nearer and felt a surge of anger. How dare the monster steal Minato's attention. Minato was his! No monster would get close to him.

Suzaku stepped forward, between Minato and the monster, ready to fight.

That was when the monster leap at them. However, Minato don't want them to fight or hurt each other.

So try to push Suzaku to the side and take his place.

What was happening? Why was Minato choosing the monster over him? How could he! He didn't even know this monster and yet Suzaku was there, and his feelings (so he thought) were perfectly transparent.

With a look of hurt shot towards Minato Suzaku rushed forwards, twisting round in a kick, aimed at the monsters chest.

Just before Suzaku's kick landed on the monster's chest, it managed to sink its claws into Minato's back.

"...!" It take moments before his mind registered the pain. Ah, the monster attacked him...

Suzaku glanced back at Minato and saw that he was injured, how dare the monster injure him! How dare it touch him! Suzaku dived forward again with a shout, "Run Minato." He would go with him, to make sure he stayed safe, no monster would get near him!

"No, Suzaku-san!" Despite the pain, Minato keep on moving. Moving to try and separate Suzaku from the monster. "You run away!"

"What are you doing?" Suzaku shouted, probably strange for Minato since Suzaku did not raise his voice often. "Run away, let me deal with him." Since Minato obviously wasn't going to, but Minato had to live. Suzaku loved him, even if Minato had rejected him!

Rejected him for this monster, Suzaku dived at it once more aiming to keep it away from Minato.

"No! I don't want you two to hurt each other!" He cared about the monster, but Suzaku's also a friend.

It hurt, seeing them fighting.

Seeing that Suzaku's trying to attack the monster again, Minato's forced to intercept his friend. So, he try to tackle Suzaku away.

"Minato get out of here." The monster swiped at Suzaku, sending him crashing into the wall before lunging at Minato. Suzaku ran forward again, trying to attack it from behind.
