An Outfit Changed, An Identity Reclaimed.

Characters: The Dolorosa and YOU!
Setting: 15th floor, the workshop
Format: Basically whatever, if you want to do chocolate things drop a note here!
Summary: Dolorosa is working with some textiles when she gets interrupted?
Warnings: Possible violence and chocolate plot business.

[ Dolorosa had been working on this dress for a couple weeks now, collecting what scraps she could that fit her needs, but they weren't always easy to come by. It was the veiled cape that had been the most difficult, but she'd finally found the right material, and had gotten the dye to properly take.

It was almost finished, and soon she would't have to continue wearing this silly jumpsuit any longer. It only needed one last addition: her sign. It had been sweeps since she'd last worn it, or even been allowed to see it, but she ever forgot its shape, and so making the thread follow her whims until it took form was accomplished without mistake, and only the slightest pause.

It was a form of therapy, this dress. A reclamation of her identity. Within the hour, once properly garbed, she would once again be fully herself.

[redglare will let that question go in favor of answering what she considers to be a more important one. she folds her hands in front of her to present the pertinent information. so formal.]

Strange events conspire periodically here in the Tower. The entities who control our arrival and living arrangements here seem to have some control over these happenings, but are irritatingly reticent on the matter.

[she takes a short pause for breath.]

What sparse evidence I have collected so far suggests that the dangers present in the Tower are a kind of experiment, and we the subjects. To what end, I do not know. Yet.

[she doesn't have a lot of evidence right now, but she's confident in her ability to crack any case with time and effort.]

I believe the more mundane aspects of life here are what one might call a "control setting".

[redglare's eyes are drawn to dolorosa's collar. her own is partially hidden by the collar of her uniform, but is still visible if one is looking for it.]

Yes, and interrogation isn't terribly effective when the interrogator is the one on the examination table. It's terribly frustrating.

[yeah, you know redglare has tried getting info out of the scientists that mess with her collar.]

Indeed. I've considered the possibility that we all are considered criminals here, but...not all inhabitants of the tower possess any sort of criminal background. I feel like that should rule out the possibility.

[redglare, for her part, is enjoying having an audience who isn't in a position to rip her head off if she finds the information inadequate.]

[redglare purses her lips. she is restraining herself from going off on a spiel about justice and how it is far more important than the law because she doubts that the dolorosa cares, at least at this point. she will save her opinion for another time, perhaps if this topic of conversation continues.]

Very well then, what do you suppose the common crime is between all the inhabitants of this hivestem?

Subjecting us to random testing is hardly a benevolent action. And the administration's claims of benevolence are quite clear, and equally false, in my opinion.
