Summary: Terezi is trying to relax after chocolate shenanigans!

[So, apparently both of Terezi's quadrants had decided it was the perfect time to go insane last week. Things seemed to have calmed down now, but she still wasn't completely positive, so she'd snuck off to the spring floor and plopped down underneath a tree. Sollux was safe, at least, and she hadn't bothered to go check on her matesprit for obvious reasons. There's still a pretty decent gash on her cheek from their last encounter.

It had certainly been the Tower. No other explanation made sense, but that didn't mean she wasn't still shaken up about the whole thing. At least this floor seems quiet for now.]

[That just sort of makes him want to stand up and walk away. But instead, he finally turns to look down at her, eyelids drawing lightly.]

Would you stop that?

[There's a note of appreciation in his voice, but the guilt overrides it.]

[She pulls away, frowning up at him.]

Do you want me to be angry at you?

Of course not.

[Pausing...he doesn't want to give away his tough guy veil just yet, so he doesn't elaborate on his thought process.]

[Fine she'll just... Squint at him...]

[When he elaborates, he busies himself with fixing his jacket and playing with its lapels.]

Last I checked, you're the one with the injury, not me.

I'm fine! You barely even scratched me.

That ain't the point, Terezi.

[Yeah yeah she knows.]

You will just have to make it up to me, then.

I'm listening.

[The statement is a bit resigned.]

[She grins.]

I can't tell you! That would be cheating!

I'm running out of creativity on my end.

[She reaches for his hands again.]

I am sure you can think of something.

[He doesn't return the gesture initially. Instead he simply stares at their hands together, frowning in obvious deep thought. After a few moments of this, his expression evens out and he grips her hands as well.]

Eventually.

[Jegus, Karkats and their self-deprecation. She leans forward to kiss him briefly.]

Don't be such a grump.

I'm fine.

[Lie. He places her hands over one another briefly.]

Besides, whatever the fuck was going on with the Tower was what forced it anyway.

[Partial lie. He squeezes them both before letting them fall away from his.]

I barely even remember what was going on.

[Original truth, now a lie. He shrugs and leans forward to lean on his knees.]

[Now she's squinting at him.]

Why are you lying to me?

[Especially about that second one.]

[GOD HE HATES THAT POWER.]

Can we change the subject?

[She tilts her head. FINE, BUT YOU'RE NOT GETTING AWAY WITH THIS FOREVER.]

To what?

[YES HE IS.]

Anything but this clusterfuck.

Speaking of clusterfucks, when was the last time you spoke to Vriska?

[She is making such a face. Is he switching to a topic she hates just to be a dick?]

[Not entirely. Maybe a little.]

Was curious. Neither of you really talk about each other anymore. I thought it was interesting.

[She is looking so suspicious right now.]

[He makes a face.]
