[So, apparently both of Terezi's quadrants had decided it was the perfect time to go insane last week. Things seemed to have calmed down now, but she still wasn't completely positive, so she'd snuck off to the spring floor and plopped down underneath a tree. Sollux was safe, at least, and she hadn't bothered to go check on her matesprit for obvious reasons. There's still a pretty decent gash on her cheek from their last encounter.

It had certainly been the Tower. No other explanation made sense, but that didn't mean she wasn't still shaken up about the whole thing. At least this floor seems quiet for now.]

[Terezi tilts her head as the girl in armor approaches, but doesn't get up.]

Hi.

[Eleanor bobs her head in greeting, stopping a few feet away.]

Hello.

[She grins, sniffing the air quietly.]

Who are you?

[thebigsister]

My name's Eleanor.

[She tilts her head to the side.]

Pleased to meet you.

Terezi.

[Paaause.]

What's with the armor?

[thebigsister]

[Eleanor shrugs, betraying the fact the suit isn't weighting her down.]

Habit by now, I suppose. Though this isn't exactly... the friendliest of places.

[scalemate]

Nope! I am not sure how much armor would help you, though.

[thebigsister]

It's been useful enough.

[The statement is neutral enough, perhaps a tad too much.]

[Terezi shrugs it off.]

How long have you been stuck here?

[thebigsister]

A couple of weeks, at most. And you?

[scalemate]

[She considers this, making the translation from perigees to months in her head.]

Seven months!

[thebigsister]

[She seems. Surprisingly excited about that. Then again, thinking back, it seemed the longer people spent here, the happier they seemed to be about it. Perhaps it was resignation? Conditioning? Eleanor grimaced, hidden behind the helmet. Mental conditioning was not something she looked forward to.]

You don't sound particularly upset about it.

[scalemate]

[She shrugs.]

I was angry for a while. That got kind of exhausting.

[She doesn't know how Karkat does it.]

[thebigsister]

[Eleanor can't help it, she bobs her head. Her mother's voice echoing somewhere in the back of her memories of her childhood, full of psychology theory and behavioral spiels.]

Anger is only useful when it has a constructive focus, otherwise it turns into self-destructive urges, like mania or hysteria.

[She smirks.]

That is one way of putting it!

[You don't see Eleanor blink.]
