Summary: The power's flickering and Mimio is not comforted.

[He's used to a certain deal of comforts- coming from a nice apartment in a good area, with plenty of food and no monsters, this whole thing has been a real shock to his system. But he's adapted. He's taken to carrying the knives he took from the cafeteria with him when he leaves the dorms, he doesn't go anywhere at night, and while he'd never willingly live here given a choice, he can tolerate it.

When the power starts flickering though, that's when he's going to start worrying.

How much charge does his battery have? When was it last switched? What if he needs to switch them and can't recharge this one? Where he's normally willing to get up and go anywhere but the dormitories, he's not wandering far from them now, unwilling to trap himself in the open if the power goes out.]

[Suzaku isn't that worried about the flickering power, the power has been odd in the tower before, he had a knife that he had taken from the cafeteria and for the most part was able to deal with any threats.

His live on Geass helped, though it sometimes stopped working here, which shouldn't really surprise him, if they had the power to bring people back from the dead they had the power to control things like Geass.

He see's the boy in the corridor and approaches carefully.] Hello?

<sub>[If Mimio's jumpy it's not too far fetched; while he may seem like a cat he certainly wasn't built to see in pitch darkness, and he absolutely wasn't made to be a fighter.

So when he hears the voice calling, his first reaction is to jolt, then to pull one of his filched knives from his pocket.]</sub> Who's there?!

[Suzaku froze, not wanting to be seen as a threat.] My name is Kururugi Suzaku, I wont hurt you.

_{[He didn't know that name. He didn't know if it's safe. But Mimio was willing to at least give this person the benefit of the doubt, lowering the knife even if he wouldn't put it away.]}

...ya promise?

_{[It was almost like he was a worried kid, even if mentally he was an adult. Mimio knew full well how pathetic that was, but his safety came first, and he could deal with whatever came after as long as he survived.]}

[Suzaku nodded, trying to look as none threatening as possible.] Promise, I wont hurt you. Where's your room? I can take you there and you will be safe. [The monsters didn't go into the bedrooms, strangely.]

_{[Well, if he promised... The knife goes back in his pocket, and Mimio tries to smile, though it's a little strained.]}

Sorry 'bout that, just kinda jumpy. 's not so much th' monsters I'm worried 'bout, but thanks.

[Suzaku frowned at the words] Has someone tried to hurt you? [Not all the injuries and death here happened from those that had kidnapped them after all.]

Outside 'a th' people runnin' this crazy place? Nah. Ain't been hurt yet. Had a couple'a close shaves with some'a th' monsters, admitted, but that's what th' knives are fer. _{[Funny, talking to someone is calming him down. Probably because it's keeping his mind off the power flickers and his worries.]}

Good. I am glad. [It was bad enough those that ran the place liked hurting them, and the monsters. Without them turning on each other as well. The lights flickered again. Suzaku frowned.]

<sub>[It couldn't be helped; at the power flicker Mimio stiffened, each worry redoubling- how was his battery charge, did he have enough to last if something happened, when was the last time his battery had been switched out was he going to be okay what if what if what if

No. He forced himself to relax, though his tail lashed and gave away his true nerves that he tried to cover with a sudden recollection of his manners.]</sub>

Say, dun think I got yer name. 'm Mimio.

[Suzaku wondered if he was scared of the dark. He seemed frightened, though fear was not unusual here.]

Mimio, nice to meet you. I'm Kururugi Suzaku.

_{[Sayaka's on the opposite side of the coin - the flickering power has urged her to roam more, wily eyed for anything that thinks this is a good chance to jump someone. Even if there's no witches here, there are monsters anyway, and not everyone can be counted on to have magical powers. Earlier, she'd gone out to listen to music - now she's just swinging back by her room to put back the CD before going out again. It's by chance, spinning a CD on her finger and looking far more nonchalant than she is, that Sayaka runs into Mimio.]}

..hey, looks like the power's still just as wonky, huh?

_{[Mimio has his hand on one of his knives, ready to draw it- until he hears Sayaka's voice. A girl. A young girl by the sound of it. He moves his hand away from the knife, and tries to laugh, though it comes out far more worried than he'd really like.]}

Yeah, looks like it. What're ya doin' out, anyway, ain't ya worried about th' monsters?

--I was just coming back to the dorm, see! _{[She stops the spinning CD to show off the printed face of it, identifying it as a rather nondescript collection of classical violin music.]} I was out before but now I'm not. So there's nothing to worry about.

_{[Smooth, Sayaka.]}

_{[Okay, now he's a little ashamed of himself. Worrying over this? Man, it's just a power outage, and he ought to be fine, right? He laughs, more than a little embarrassment in his voice.]}

Guess not. Sorry 'bout that, th' power's jus' got me on edge I guess.

_{[He looks closer at the CD- not his typical fare but he can respect it.]}

So, uh... ya like violins?

_{[Way to go, cat.]}

She gives the CD one last idle spin after he looks at it, smiling]</sub>

Yeah, always have! Wouldn't be able to play one to save my life, but when someone else knows what they're doing with one...

I gotta admit, 's not my usual thing, but ya got a point. If someone knows what they're doin'...
