Characters: Yukiko and OPEN
Setting: Infirmary
Format: I'll follow
Summary: Yukiko wastes no time in making herself useful about the tower
Warnings: None
There was still a mystery surrounding her arrival here. This, Yukiko knew only too well - the tower, the collars, the not-quite-humans she's seen around the place and on the network and that's not including the monsters she had a close run-in shortly after first arriving. A lot of unknowns that would need investigating at some point, but until then she needed something to do with her time.
The infirmary had seemed a natural choice. It wasn't quite the Inn, but with the powers her Persona granted her she figured it made sense. Besides, it had been that or the cafeteria and she was pretty sure those in charge wouldn't appreciate her burning the place to the ground to serve inedible food. And so she was, familiarising herself with the infirmary stock and learning what went where, working with an efficiency that came naturally to her.

Yukikoooo *^*
When he sees Yukiko, he blinks, surprised. Mostly, people didn't hang out in the Infirmary--only if they were injured or sick.
It was odd to see someone else here. He looked up from the book he was reading and quietly watched her for a little while, wondering what she was doing.
When curiosity finally got the best of him, he quietly approached her--though, it's somewhat likely he may have surprised her on accident. ]
... I hope you're not thinking of just randomly medicating yourself. Some of those things could kill you, you know.

What? No, it's...I work here. Sorry, I didn't hear you come in.

[ He sounds a little bit incredulous. Oops, he surprised her. But oh well, he's used to doing that to people. ]
Did they force you into it? You're not one of those red-collared... things. You're a person. ... I was told I had to work at the library, myself.
[ It was weird. God so many books, he didn't mind but it really did take a ton of work... ]

[The fact that she's still technically newly arrived is not the point]

Are you a nurse?

Are you also human, like everybirdie else here?

So he came to the infirmary to help out. He smiled at the girl, he hadn't seen her before, but the last week or so he had been unable to move. The thought of which still filled him with terror.
"Hello."

"Hello. Did you need something?"

There was an awkward pause for a moment before Yukiko all but blurted out. "I-I'm Yukiko Amagi."
Usually she had Chie to help out with this part; while she was more self-assured than she had once been she still found it difficult without her best friend around.

He doesn't really see anyone else around the infirmary right now. Not that he really knew it was the infirmary. He considered finding out, spotting a short, black-haired human close by and striding lazily up behind her.]
Heyyy, motherfucker. Which mystical block might a brother be to finding himself all up in right the fuck now?
[Manners, Gamzee. She probably didn't even know you were there, and now this huge monster is just spouting nonsense at her out of the blue.]
Oh this should be good~
But of course, that doesn't mean she won't still be polite]
Uh-um, this is the infirmary. You...are you sick?
[She couldn't see any injuries and even for all she had no idea what he was, she was here to look after people who were under the weather]

Can't say I all think I'm to motherfucking be, pinksis.
[A beat.]
Are you?
no subject
Give her a moment here, Gamzee. She's trying ever so hard to reign in the urge to giggle]
No, no I'm not sick. I work here.

Hahahahahahahonkhonkhonkhonk!
[Oh, welp. Looks like you've found someone that shares your condition of being entirely too chuckle-prone. Only his laughs quickly dissolve into honks, reminiscent of an old bike horn. Yeah, he's pretty embarrassing.]

Until he's laughed so hard that he can't breathe any more, and he's pretty sure his sides are going to explode, so he doubles over, wrapping his bony arms around his middle and wheezing out the last bleating, honking, inane laughs he has left in him.]

Poking his head into the infirmary and casting a quick glance about, he spotted a darkhaired girl inspecting some shelves of various items and steps inside. He wasn't sure just what it was about these sorts of places that gave him the creeps--maybe it was the spooky beds with the steel arms on the sides, like maybe they didn't want you to escape. Whatever it was, he sort of uncomfortably folded his arms over his chest and approached the girl.
Leaning on the counter he paused a moment, then spoke softly, unsure if she was even aware he was there and not wanting to startle her.
"Anything good for a headache in that cabinet?"
no subject
"Probably? There's a lot here I don't recognise but I think I saw some painkillers before...I'll get you some."
She headed back to the cabinet, carefully selecting a box from the shelf.
"You're, um, you're not allergic to anything are you?"
