Characters: Link (WW) and you!!!
Setting: The showers first, but he's probably going to be wherever water is.
Format: Action because I'm lazy.
Summary: The showers decided to rain multicolored water on the Hero of Winds and he is not pleased.
Warning: RAINBOW CHILDREN. Otherwise there shouldn't be anything too bad.

[The littlest Link woke up early for once, letting out a yaaawn and a streeetch, before finally hopping out of bed to go get cleaned up for the day. Surprisingly, he's one nine year old you don't have to remind for that kind of thing.
But there's a bit of a problem, when he finally turns the water on in the shower - which is probably evident by his shout and sputtering -

And should you come investigate the scene, what you'll see is a now very colorful, multicolored, dyed Link, in his boxers with a towel wrapped around his shoulders, going to tote his clothes back to his room so he doesn't stain them. UGH. Now he has to go find clean water to... go get clean in! He just hopes no one sees him, first...
It's kind of embarrassing.]

[Unfortunately, Zelda seems to have a radar of sorts for distressed Links, and always seems to be in the vicinity whether they want her to be or not.

Thus, the Hero of Rainbows Winds gets a double take as she passes by him in the hall.]

... Link?

He tries to cover his face and head as best he can with his towel, and shakes his head. This is embarrassing, he doesn't want her to know it's him...!]

N-no, not Link, sorry!

[... Even his little footprints are rainbow uuugh.]

[... Kid, do you really think she's fooled by that. Really.

Siiigh. But she'll play along, if only for the sake of not making him even more upset.]

I see. My apologies, then, for mistaking you. All the same, you... seem to be having a problem of sorts. May I be so bold as to ask what happened?

[He peeks a little from his towel camouflage, and gives her a little nod.]

... The shower's being weird; it dumped a bunch of funny water all over me.

[He tries to keep his head covered, but pokes an arm out so she can see - and that sure is a lot of colors all over him. He looks like an Easter Egg that was dyed by a two year old.]

[Wow, that... is rather strange. Her eyebrows lower in concern and puzzlement as she peers at his arm.]

I do see. How peculiar. ... Do you feel all right otherwise?

[Please, no child of the corn repeats.]

Mhm.

It's, uh... it's kind of embarrassing though! I look like a rainbow threw up all over me, ew...

[And he's just. hiding worse in the towel.
Any attempts he may have made to hide his voice are gone, too. Whoops.]

[Well, it's not like she bought his brilliant disguise anyway. But thank goodness it's only cosmetic. She smiles a bit fondly, not that he can see it.]

There are worse things too look like, I would imagine. But perhaps we can find some clean water for you to wash up in elsewhere.

[Surely it's just the showers that have been affected, right?]

[... He peeks a little more, frowning.]

I guess...

I was gonna look on my own, but I don't really know where all the watery places are, here.

[He really, really, really hopes it's just the showers.]

[She tilts her head at him slightly, as if trying to get a better look at his peeking.]

I know of a few that should be safe. [AKA not the aquarium.] They are several floors down, however, so you may wish to bring something more... covering for the trip.

[Unless you want to walk around in boxers and a towel.]

... I don't want to stain my clothes, though.

[His Hero's Tunic is really important to him, and staining the work that his Big Brother did on his blue tunic would be sad... :(


... Aw, to hell with hiding. He moves the towel down around his shoulders instead - showing off his mussed up, multicolored hair and dyed face, as well as a deep frown.]

I don't have clothes I don't care about.

[Her knowing smile remains as he lets his disguise slip, though she makes no comment on it.]

Ah, I understand. We will just have to be quick, then.

[And then she makes a 'come along' gesture towards the direction of the elevator. They can take it down to the 21st floor, at least, but then it's still ten floors down until they can reach the floor with the strange waterfalls.]

[Embarrassing? Well, it's about to get moreso. Because your best friend is rainbow'd too. And she's running along the hall to try to find the same thing. Her current plan is to make it to the pool and dive in.]

[He pads along with her, frowning behind him at his colorful little footprints as he makes them.]

[He nearly runs into her, of course - but stops dead in his tracks, pulling his towel up like he had with Zelda.
Tetra is the last person he'd want seeing this..!!

But wait. Is she... dyed, too?
Peeeking from his towel...


And trying so hard not to let a giggle out. She totally is.]

[Really, Link. Hasn't this place taught you that it could be much worse?

But in any case, they eventually make it to the 11th floor... only to find that the lake and all the waterfalls flowing into it have also become multicolor.]

... Oh.

[Welp.]

[Tetra didn't mind ruining her clothes with the color, in contrast to Link. So her shirt and her shorts are a little multicolored as well now, at least she's decent.

Watching him peek from behind the towel before trying to snatch it quick. No hiding!]

... Am I going to be stuck like this forever, princess?

[That's said with the biggest, saddest eyes up at her, of course. He doesn't want to be a rainbow forever!! No one would take him seriously...]

[He's keeping a death grip on that towel, sorry!! HE NEEDS IT TO HIDE.]

G-give it back, Tetra; I'm not even dressed!

[... Oh Goddesses don't give her that face.

She sighs, kneeling slightly and trying a reassuring smile.]

No. We shall find some way to clean all this up. The method will just have to be a bit unconventional, that is all.

[Okay, if water is out, then...]

[... That took a little sounding out but hey, he managed to mimic it. ... He doesn't know what that word means.]

So... I'll get all cleaned up?

[Help how does she nine-year-old vocabulary. But she nods.]

You shall. Perhaps we can find something in the kitchen that has remained unaltered.

[Unorthodox got another confused look, but he nods at unusual. He knows that one!]

... Unaltered... um. Not colored, right? I hope there's something, because I look stupid.

[He doesn't like it.]

[Her cheeks would be red if they weren't already other colors.]

[Well, he's not naked - he's got the decency to put underwear on! But he gives her a frown, wrapping the towel around his shoulders again.]

I'm looking for something to clean off all these stupid colors!
All the water in the bathroom is colorful, and I didn't want to stain my clothes. They're important!

With any luck there will be. But I am sure people will understand if you explain what happened.

[He's toddling along behind her of course, hoping - hoping - they find something that isn't dyed like he is.]

[Nepeta is wandering down a hall for no particular reason when she spots this boy - this boy who is covered in rainbows. Have you ever seen a troll, Link? Even if he has, she might stand out for just how excited she gets, eyes lighting up like a kid given a brightly wrapped present.]

[Okay, bad metaphor. Link's not a present; he's just colorful.]

Oh my gosh, so many colors! Did you get some paint dumped on you? Where did you find it?

[Oh, he has - one of his best friends is Gamzee, after all! So no weird looks here, surely.]

No, uh... the showers here dumped a bunch of funny water on me! And they're all doing it, too, so I can't wash it off...

[And he feels stupid like this. B(]

It's staining everything, too! See?

[He partially unwraps the towel from himself; the inside of it looking like it was tie-dyed.]

[That's still more of him than she'd be use to seeing. Never mind that he'd be dressed just about the same if he donned swim trunks and they went swimming again.]

You ain't got nothin' else to wear? I mean, as long as you cleaned your clothes quick, it should stain too bad.

I don't have clothes I don't care about.
Big Brother put a lot of effort into my blue tunic, so I don't want to get it stained!
And my Hero's Clothes were made by my grandma...
And my crawdad shirt is my favorite shirt in the world!

[His clothes are really important okay. >8(]

I'd rather stain a towel than my clothes!

He huffs though, wrapping the towel tight around his shoulders.]

[Romeo on the other hand had been completely amazed at the fact the swimming pool was no multicoloured. He hadn't even thought that it could be dangerous, because after all if he died he would just wake up again.

However the only thing that had happened was Romeo was now multicoloured as well. He spotted the little boy and grinned as he ran over.] You're all colourful as well!

[That gets an annoyed little huff, but he shakes his head.]

Well... whatever! I think we should go find another way to go get cleaned off, at least.

[It might have been fun if it was because of the pool - but not expecting it is nowhere near fun at all.]

I was gonna go see if the pool was still clean. Those things got filters or whatever on 'em right? So the water don't get dirty.

[He shifts the towel on his shoulders a bit, before nodding.]

Let's go look, then!

[She's not wasting any time getting to the pool now. She really couldn't care less if their color got stuck in that water right now.]

[Romeo giggled] So do I! We both look silly! [This place turned him into a deer once, this is both harmless and hilarious compared to what he is used to.]
