Characters: Ulysses and you!
Setting: Rainbow Aquarium
Format: Action
Summary: It's April fool's day and lobstrosities come multicolored.
Warning: Violence and gore.
[Chittering. He can heard chittering from the swirls of colored water. It is a sound he knows, but does not know how it could be heard here. If his world is gone, then things that lurked on it should as well be lost with it.
Fight mode engages and the nearest wall is taken. Once transparent water has taken to color and muting out the lights creating an environment like the caves the chittering belongs to.
Mirelurks; crustaceans mutated and turned into a humanoid creature well capable of hunting man.
Soon the chittering turns into steps, wet and heavy. Closer it comes until nearly rounding the corner coming face to face with Ulysses and his arched back staff. The metal ornament meets the soft exposed flesh of the Mirelurks face, greenish gray splattering from the impact and a high pitched chitter as it stumbles back from the sneak attack.
Not dead, only injured. The staff is pulled back for another stab before the creature can gain a grasp of what is happening. Deeper the strike hits sending more blood out and dying call before the armored creatures slips to the floor. It falls with a dull thud and the staff is removed from its mangled face.
The dead body receives a long look. Strips of color are across its body much like the water of the aquarium. Putting two to two takes no leap, but studying of the Mirelurk comes short as more chittering comes.
More than one source would allow. ]
[OOC: So Ulysses has the misfortune of coming across some of his homeworld's inhabitants, Mirelurks. Nasty shellfish that are the size of a man and have a habit of eating them. Weak spot is its face and more are coming- with colors. ]

Armor. Old armor, but not old world armor. Unmistakable it is not a member of the brotherhood, but the similarities to their power armor are eerily close.]
Stand if you are able.
[No bark to this order, but he means it by no suggestion either. The Mirelurks are upon them and getting away with a flank of surprise is no longer possible. Chittering turns higher and footsteps louder as they rush in, claws open seeking flesh.]

[Eleanor pauses, back to her feet, to stare a moment at the creatures rushing in.]
Fighting now, questions later?
[But even as she speaks, her fists are lit on fire and she's balancing on her heels, her entire body arching back and forth as she rains fire on the incoming group.
Scratch that, today is the worst day she's had in recent memory.]

Weak of sight already, it makes them easier targets to kill with sight gone and bodies burned. His side arm drops to his side for staff in a rush to take one in the face.
Less of a slick hit and more of a crunching as the closest gets the end of his pole. Enough trust in placed into the strange to to the next one, its body still aflame and claws widened for attack.]
