Setting: The library.
Format: Either!
Summary: Romana went back to her own world. And she is a wreck.
Warnings: Tears, possible swearing, possible violence.

[For the few days that she had been back in the tower, Romana had managed to keep it together. Pretending to be find was a skill she had taught herself long ago, and one she used often.

But her scar aches under her clothes.

And she can't stop the images of her Italy in ruins, the once green hills and fields empty wastelands, her beloved Santa Chiara returned to rubble, like it had been after the bombings.

Venice, covered in water, Rome deserted, Vatican City burnt and broken to the ground.

And no where, no where could she find another living soul.

No where could she find her sister.

Finally, one day it gets to her, she can feel herself start to crack. And so she hides, up in a corner of the library, surrounded by photos pulled from her photo album. All of a smiling happy redhead, some with Romana by her side.

And Romana cries, arms wrapped tight around her, her whimpers muffled as she hides behind the stacks, praying that no one will find her in this moment of weakness.]

I don't drink. [Romana pushes herself up into standing, frowning when Russia still towers over her] And I wasn't crying, there is just a lot of dust in this awful place... [A weak weak lie]

Nyet? _{[His brows raised, surprised--everyone drank at one point or another. He watched her, tipping his head to the side, tipping his head to the side.]} Is that so?

Si. [The photos are pressed against her stomach, Romana still trying to wipe away the eye makeup that's run] I don't have a head for it, and to drink leads to stupid mistakes. A clear head is better...

Ah. I am understanding. _{[He smiled slightly, watching the Italian, a curious look on his face.]} Let me be helping, da? _{[He leaned forward to try to help her wipe the running make-up away.]}

[No matter how kind Russia's intentions are, Romana still jerks back, bumping into the shelves. The old issues with being touched, plus the fact that she can't get rid of the thought of the Russia she's used to out of her head and why is he so familiar?

Taking a deep breath Romana, jerks her head in a sharp signal for no] I'm fine. Grazie. Just because you saw... that doesn't mean I need help.

_{[Ivan blinked, eyes a little wide as the other jerked back, brows furrowing in confusion, uncertain what got the strong reaction, puzzled.]} Ah.... But I was not seeing anything, da? Just dust, da? _{[He certainly knew that it was not dust, but he was not about to argue, instead giving her a tiny smile]} I was just thinking it would be easier, because I can be seeing your face, and you cannot be. I am not having to help if you are not wanting.

S-Si... dust... [She finishes wiping her eyes, somehow knowing that her eye make up is ruined and managing to wipe most of it off before she glances at Russia a small frown forming.]

Da? You...You're Russian?

[He gave her a curious tilt of his head, but clearly didn't believe it, watching her and letting her have the lie] Of course. And you are being Spanish. Or Italian. I am thinking?

[She is slightly relieved that he doesn't push for the truth, Romana nodding sharply as she continues to compose herself] Si, Italian. Southern, specifically.

Ah. I am seeing. [He paused a moment, watching her curiously, spotting the hair curl and raising his brows--could it be he found another female nation that was supposed to be a male nation? It ought to be easy enough to find out, assuming her and Romano were the same--and so, he reached over to smooth out the Italian's curl]

[The soft whimper Romana makes, the way her cheeks flush a rosy pink and her body jerks makes it unmistakable to what the curl does. Even as she gasps softly she jerks away, pressing back against the bookshelf and glaring at the larger man] D-Don't touch that!

[He brightened as he saw the reaction, giggling and enjoying the almost troubled look on her face--he didn't quite understand the curl's purpose, but he did enjoy the faces made from touching it.] You are being South Italy then? But as girl?

[Blushing so hard, hand still held over her mouth as she recovers from the tug, swiftly turning her embarrassment into a sharp glare] Si. And you are? What, a pervertito?

[Ivan was smiling brightly] I am being Russia. Not being pervertito... Especially not if that is meaning what I am thinking it is meaning.... [Small grimace]

Oh. Russia. [Yep, wishing she could take another step back now] You touched my curl! That makes you a pervertito, seeing as you clearly knew what it did!

[Flushes even darker, refusing to look at him] It's a place that... shouldn't be touched. End of story.

Da... da, you did. [Small smile, amused] But if you are not telling me what it is doing, I just assume is being a place that is making you have such fun reactions. Is just hair though.

[So not amused. Still blushing] It's not a f... fun reaction, and it's clearly not just hair!
