It was downright horrible.

She didn't want to believe her captors when they said her world was gone, but the truth was laid bare to her when she was somehow brought back to her world without her knowledge.

It was exactly as they said; her entire home has turned into a complete wasteland, devoid of life. She could not feel her people, and the land was dead in her heart. But yet, how could she be sustained? It must have been some sort of magic her captors pulled on her, and she touched the collar on her neck instinctively.

Sí, this must be what's keeping her alive. This strange contraption.

Back at the tower, she curls up on one of the couches on the fourth floor, looking forlornly out of the window.

Trapped in a strange new land, Spain does the only thing he can think of doing: Explore. He didn't feel it at first but as he traveled higher, he began to feel something.

For a moment, he thought it was one of his people. But no, they couldn't be here. As he traveled further up, it felt less like a citizen and more like. . . a nation? It was a nation but it wasn't foreign. It was Spanish but it wasn't one of his. Finally, Spain reaches the fourth floor. He sees a woman, he crosses the room to investigate, and when he is finally in front of her he stops and says very simply, "You're Spanish."

Spain raises an eyebrow, looking down curiously at the woman with dark hair, tanned skin, and the most familiar green eyes he has ever seen. She was certainly Spanish and certainly not human. Briefly, his mind wanders to what one of the tower's inhabitants had said earlier to him about female nations.

"Sí, you could say that. . ." He replies, studying her carefully. "What is wrong, señora?"

As she begins, he frowns, not wanting to see a beautiful woman so upset. However, he instantly cheers up when she finishes, "Ah, don't worry, señora, I'm fine and well! You needn't be upset."

He steps back to give her some room and follows her gesture, looking outside. Everything is so depressing outside; it isn't anything like back at home, and he feels his stomach twist from sudden homesickness. "Impossible," Spain replies, still optimistic, "España can never fall! It's the greatest and most powerful land in the entire world. I would know, believe me!"

He still wasn't getting it. "Then you saw wrong. Have faith in the spirit of Spain, hm?"
