Characters: Spain, open to everyone~
Setting: Fourth Floor.
Format: Action or prose; I'll just follow along.
Summary: Spain comes back after being unfortunately brought away to 'visit' her home.
Warnings: TBA

It was downright horrible.

She didn't want to believe her captors when they said her world was gone, but the truth was laid bare to her when she was somehow brought back to her world without her knowledge.

It was exactly as they said; her entire home has turned into a complete wasteland, devoid of life. She could not feel her people, and the land was dead in her heart. But yet, how could she be sustained? It must have been some sort of magic her captors pulled on her, and she touched the collar on her neck instinctively.

Sí, this must be what's keeping her alive. This strange contraption.

Back at the tower, she curls up on one of the couches on the fourth floor, looking forlornly out of the window.

Romeo cried for a while, it was a strange feeling having someone to hold you when you cried and it hadn't happened to him since he had been a very small child. He knew he should be stronger, and miss Spain should be the one who was upset because she saw her world destroyed but he couldn't stop, not for a while anyways.

He cried himself out and wriggled away from miss Spain a little bit ashamed that he had acted like a child, he stayed in contact though and looked up at her with bright tearful eyes. "Then this tower is our new world, and we have to make sure everyone in it stays safe!"

If Spain was enamoured by Romeo's spirit before, she was totally enraptured now, at both his enthusiasm and endurance, despite his crying spell earlier.

"Oh, Romero, you are really an inspiration," she confessed, wiping his tears with her finger before she wiped the one that trailed down her own cheek. "Sí, we have to ensure that everyone in this tower is safe, no matter what."

Romeo nodded, "No matter what," he repeated fiercely and then biting his lip and gathering all his courage he reached out to clasp miss Spain's hand, it didn't matter that she was an adult, she was nice!

"Let's make a vow, together," he moved his free hand so that it was a fist pressed against his heart, "that we will protect everyone here and work to make our new world a place of safety and kindness to all!" It was the first proper solumn oath that he had made since arriving, and the first he had ever made with an adult.

Spain laughed, and mimicked Romeo's actions, placing her own free hand over her heart. "Sí, we will protect everyone!" she vowed with him, her heart light with the new proclamation.

It was like being an Empire all over again, only that her new 'children' didn't only consist of Nations, but everyone, no matter what world they came from.

"Si!" Romeo replied sealing the vow. He removed his hand from his heart and smiled, "My best friend Alfredo had a dream," he told her, "He wanted to make the world a place where all children went to school and learned to read, and had food and didn't have to be sold as chimney sweeps." They had vowed to help each other so Romeo wanted miss Spain to know about his most important vow "He wanted to make a world where all children could run free under the blue sky," he sighed, "When he died I promised I'd fulfil his dreams for him, the skies not blue here but I hope this new world can be a happy one!"

Spain took a while to understand what Romeo was talking about. Children not going to school to learn, to read, but instead being sold as chimney sweeps? What sort of world was Romeo living in that was so horrible?

"Romero, querido, you have never been to school before?" she asked, very much surprised and upset that such a brilliant boy like him has never been taught the basic education.

Romeo shook his head, "No miss, but I can read! Doctor Casella taught me last year, he was going to help me get a job so I could go to school when I was freed but then..." Romeo shook his head sadly.

"I came here," he smiled though because they had vowed to make this place a nice new world and he was determined to try.

That was something good for Romeo, Spain thought, her smile made brighter with the knowledge. She gave the boy a kiss on the forehead, closing her eyes and leaning back on the couch.

"Ay, if circumstances were different, I would bring you back to my land and raise you well, Romero."

Romeo grinned brightly, "That would be fun miss! I bet your world is so fun! Though I don't speak Spanish so that would of been a problem!"

"Nonsense, I'll teach you Spanish," she giggled, her smile mirroring Romeo's.

"Really!" Romeo grinned an even bigger grin. "I can teach you Italien if you like!"

To be perfectly honest, Spain is already well-versed in Italian, but seeing how hopeful Romeo was dampened the need to reel him such. Instead she simply laughed and nodded. "I would love to take lessons from you."

Romeo continued smiling, "And then we can teach other people, since this is our world and learning is important!"

"Yes! That would be splendid." He was practically bursting with so much enthusiasm Spain felt as if she's getting a little too old for such shenanigans.

Romeo grinned feeling much better now and he grasped miss Spain's arm again. "Do you feel better now?"

"Sí, much better." Spain gave Romeo a pat on the head. "Thank you, Romero."
