[He hasn't been to this floor for a long time, but right now... he doesn't mind the break. People from his world may recognize the voice as "Risette," but really-- he only knows her as Rise...]

[He had been working on this for a very, very long time- almost since he first arrived nearly two months ago. It wasn't perfect like Daidara-san's work - no, not by a long shot, but he was finally putting the finishing touches on his own blade. Though, he had decided to take a break from finishing the hilt earlier... if the item beside him was any indication.]
Your Choice[It's April 27th... and someone's birthday. He definitely made them something, but the question is... where to find them?]
[> You begin your search for a certain detective, but will it only be Naoto-kun that you bump into?]

Floor Twenty-Eight
[The music floor...]
[He really has no problems with it, the instruments sometimes playing on their own. But this time, he finds an instrument that he knows well enough- something he hasn't played in a few months, now. If someone stumbles upon him, they'll hear a single trumpet playing something both hopeful yet melancholic, just a little louder than anything else around.]

Floor Thirty-Eight
[At the end of the day, he can be found on the thirty-eighth floor, staring out the windows to the outside with his newly-forged sword at his side. The height doesn't scare him, and the view isn't too bad... but it partly reminds him of being up on the hilltop overlooking the small town he made so many memories in.]
[Yu is silent, simply sitting there in one of the over-sized chairs with a small notebook in hand. He's almost done with the account of their journey, one no one would ever believe aside from their own...]

[He frowns in thought, trying not to give too much else away on his stances. After all, actions are much more powerful over words. One could navigate a conversation with ease, but backing it up with what one does after the fact was much more revealing.
Think what you will about him, but there is a balance to everything. For one who plans his actions out as well as can be achieved without knowing what the future entails, he prefers to think himself as a healthy combination of the two. Objective, but always willing to take the time to assist others in their own struggles.]

And of course, while one can obfuscate words, their actions will still speak for them to a degree. What then, of those repentant, who wish to atone for their follies? They are surely doomed to a life of disbelief and suffering. Appropriate perhaps, but not something most could truly take.
no subject
Mm... Going by the rules of society I was raised in, they would have to prove themselves. Though there are still crimes in which the world does not forgive, nor those who suffered because of them. [A sigh, and he takes a few steps away from the windows with book in hand.] Whether they could take it or not is up to them. So long as there is one person who believes in them, it seems to make a difference.

So it is for most. [He clasps his hands behind his back, pacing slightly.] It's a shame that there's so few people in the world with more open minds. Not being focused narrowly on one thing could truly do the universe some good.
no subject
'Open minds,' huh. [He is pacing himself, keeping an eye on Xehanort. It's only common courtesy after all.
'Law to reign in discord, discord to open the eyes who would follow blindly into the void of a life that holds no meaning...' He offers a faint, vaguely amused sound as a smirk finally crosses the carefully guarded mask-shadow seemingly a bit more bold on the floor as he frowns again.] Opening the mind in itself can be dangerous and painful. Many would rather live in ignorance than face themselves or the world around them, let alone the entire universe.
[Something they can't afford, especially in a tower such as this.]
no subject
Sadly, this is why the universe is the way it is. So few are strong at heart enough to open their minds and truly understand... not without turning to hide or losing their minds completely.

It sounds like you've run into this a few too many times before, Xehanort-san.

Which is why we decide our own fate. [Because to hell with the plans of eldritch creatures and gods.] Each and every one of us. Whether it be to face truth, or turn our backs upon it.
[
'I reject your reality and substitute my own' okay no.]no subject
But he'll let it slide for now, as it's hardly the time for that sort of discussion.]
Of course. It is a rather sad state of affairs that one can simply turn their back and then act in such a close-minded and unpleasant fashion to those who have decided that they won't run and have chosen to pick up the slack the others have left.
Then again, the universe is a sorry place, is it not? That such things must happen.
no subject
Even if it is, it's our universe. Whether they turn their backs on it, or they fight to protect and save it.
[It should be obvious which side of the fence he's on, just by the look in his cold, steel-colored eyes.]
no subject
Indeed. And those who allow it to spiral into destruction will someday learn the price of their folly.
no subject
I guess that remains to be seen.
