Characters: Sayaka and you.
Setting: Floor 22 - the art gallery.
Format: Starts in prose, matchres you!
Summary: Can't go two steps in this art gallery without seeing something HORRIBLE. Backdated to daytime on the 28th.
Warnings: Defacement of fine art.

Well, it's taken her a matter of weeks, but Sayaka's finally chosen to take Gandalf's advice and return to the art gallery. She's looking for the mermaid portrait her mind had been captured by before, but something else comes to her attention first:

It's an old, weathered poster, set upon the wall in a thin black frame. There's no glass between it and the air, and Sayaka can practically feel every year it's been since that concert when she touches it. All the words that used to be on it are gone, replaced with symbols that make her head hurt to look at. They're like the runes in a Witch's labyrinth, and that's the part that sets her off.

She can't get it down from the wall, but she sure can rip out the parts with those stupid runes.

You can stumble upon her when she's either a) tearing out shreds of the poster in a mad rage, or b) collapsed amidst a flurry of torn paper, looking very desolate and depressed.

If you didn't care about people ogling it, somehow I feel like you wouldn't be trying to beat it within an inch of its life. Or do you do this all the time and I've just never noticed?

You can have the scraps as a souvenir if you like it so much, jeez. I just want it out of my sight.

_{[The language of fists far outstrips the language of flowers or the language of actual language, in Sayaka's honest opinion. She glazes over some of the finer points of Rose's rebuttal, instead opting for an instant repartee.

By that I mean, she's not even gonna care about dodging Rose's punch in the process of trying to actually land one herself.]}

[an erudite counterargument! Rose takes the hit with a small grunt, digging into Sayaka's arm with the intent of flipping her. refute that, motherfucker.]

_{[As much fighting experience as Sayaka's cultivated, it's mostly against monsters, witches, and other non-humanoids - so she doesn't realize Rose's intention while she's getting set up to be flipped over.

That flip's not getting executed without angry flailing in return, at least.]}

[Rose takes the hits and scratches the flailing lands, satisfied to have successfully executed the flip. she swings out to kick the downed girl, although she won't mind too much if Sayaka manages to get out of the way before it connects - she's going to keep her on the defensive now if she can help it.]

_{[Once she's downed, Sayaka rolls away and climbs back to her feet as she as she can. As soon as she can is surprisingly fast for someone that just got flipped over, but maybe it's just adrenaline talking. She doesn't seem to have boiled down from her earlier anger in the least.]}

Let's see if you can pull that trick again, huh?

[she smirks, breath still quick from the recent action and posture all antagonism and confidence. trying to calm Sayaka down and stop the fight doesn't seem to be on her mind at all]

You'd better hope that's all I pull on you.

[she swings again, aiming for the throat]

Ooh, scary.

_{['Backing down' isn't really a phrase Sayaka recognizes in her vocabulary of fighting. In fact, it's probably been stricken from the record entirely.

Sayaka throws an arm in front of her to take the hit - meanwhile, guess who's getting tackled?

[Rose goes down, but immediately attempts to continue the arc and land on top of her opponent. if she can't manage that? well, trying to throttle the other girl was never a bad tactic in her mind.]

[Ghkt. Sayaka sees spots for a moment, and has a horrible thought that what if she gets hurt enough from this that her healing magic kicks in? This is the stupidest thing in the world to waste it on!

Spurred with a sudden strength from that thought, Sayaka throws Rose off of her, and stumbles to her feet, rubbing her throat. Her voice is hoarse when she speaks.]

Okay, stop. You win. The forces of being a jerk triumph again! Everybody laugh, and clap, and go hooray. Here, I'll start: hahahahahahah.

Man, just when I thought that you couldn't get more whiny. Is there anything you can do without getting insufferable about it? [Rose rises up, wiping at her mouth to rid it of any blood that may have trickled out from her less than pleasant landing.

she doesn't mind being thrown considering the fact that it's obvious the other girl is still riled up. as far as Rose is concerned it's mission accomplished.]
