You could have slept soundly in your bed, dear.
Characters: Karkat and the rest of you~
Setting: The lounge, backdated to July 30th.
Format: I will match you!
Summary: Karkat's been fighting sleep for 15 days. Thanks to the tower, he can't fight it anymore.
Warnings: Language and death are things that are guaranteed to happen eventually!
Karkat was well beyond coherent thinking at this point. Something had gotten into him, something he wasn't used to at all. He'd never felt so incredibly exhausted in his entire worthless life. All six sweeps of it. He'd been doing so well too, only managing to pass out once recently in the veil when a certain someone decided to go saw-happy on another poor troll's legs. He'd never be able to block out that memory unfortunately, even now as he literally faded away.
He shouldn't have tried to stand up from the couch in the lounge he'd been resting on, because that attempt ended in vain when he merely fell forward onto his face.
Doof.
God fucking damn it, his body would respond to him if it was the last thing he could manage, but as it stood, he couldn't even lift his face off of the floor.

Not to mention John wasn't here, and she was growing ever frustrated with the fact. Two of the other humans were here, but no sign of her human. Surely he couldn't be dead, he was God Tier. There was no way- Her thoughts were interrupted as she almost tripped over the prone figure on the ground.
She looked down, ready to insult whichever stupid human had gotten in her way when she noticed the familiar horns. Oh, this was just too much. A grin slid across her face, and she nudged him in the side repeatedly.
"Haha, what's this? Vantas, you look almost as pathetic now as you did when you passed out in the Veil."

"Fuck off, Serket." He breathed out, sounding quite obviously drained of all his usual ornery energy. But fuck, really, this bitch was the last person he wanted to see him weak and basically defenseless.

Vriska didn't stop nudging him for another few minutes before she leaned down to eye him.
"Soooooooo, how long has it been since our brave and fearless leader slept?"
no subject
One of those grey troll-kids?
He moves over, stooping down and attempts to shake his shoulder. "Hey, you alright?"
no subject
"Fuck-if-I-know, human," he slurred, "...tired."

There's a pause as Shoutarou considers the lack of resistance from the boy, though. "You need a hand up to your room?"

[She stalks towards him and when she was standing over him-]
Your horns are really tiny!!
They haven't seen each other yet right?
...fuck you.. they're..they're gonna grow...
I... don't think so?
Yah huh, sure. Then how come Tavros has giant horns! [she puts her hands out to show how big Tavros's horns are]
s'what I thought
Fuck Tavros' horns! [Oh, apparently he had a little energy left to sit up and shout--
before falling back down like a lump.]
:|b
That's a bad word.

Good lord, are you alright there?
no subject
What the fuck do you care? Go 'way.
[He grumbles, he should probably stop wasting his breathe on words.]
no subject
Because you just collapsed facedown, and if you keep going like this, you won't be able to get up at all. So I will care.
[She kneels down next to him.] Would you like to get back onto the sofa? Or back to your room?

And possibly, concern. He'd entered the lounge just in time to see Karkat collapse. As much as he might hide how he feels about others... as much as he may try not to get attached... it was almost certain he'd become worried about Karkat from the moment they met.
Didn't he have things to do back home? His home needed him, even if his home planet had been destroyed, that meant there were people waiting on him. Thus he quietly approaches Karkat, hand automatically going for the Evoker holstered on his belt, hidden under his coat. He'd taken to carrying it with him at all times by now.
"... Vantas-san." He seemed to be breathing, at least, but he seemed weak, to no great shock. Minato knew Karkat hadn't been sleeping much. ... Death had never particularly bothered him, but Karkat was needed by people. And he didn't like the idea of anyone dying in this tower, a place they'd been kidnapped to, where they couldn't make their own choices freely.
"Can you stand?" His voice was quiet, but it had a tinge of concern to it.

On the bright side, she crosses the room to him, "Do you need any assistance?"
no subject
Karkles! [Nep's gonna just rush right on over and scoop him up under the arms, dragging him back onto the couch and plopping down next to him.] Are you okay? Have you been resting and eating? You look pawsitively horrible!
no subject
Um... Karkat... are you okay?
no subject
"Are you alright? You look ill?" He looked down at the boy, who was definitly not an adult but was maybe a little older than Romeo.
