002 ✘ and i rationed my breaths ✘ backdated to 4/22
Characters: AU4 Xion and YOU
Setting: [01] Dorm halls ; [02] cafeteria ; [03] floor eleven
Format: I'll match you!
Summary: Xion/Soraface/Fey kept herself locked away in her room for a week (except for the collar check-up) after her death. Finally, she's dragging herself out
Warnings: ANGST ANGST ANGST

[ 00 ; room 2-01 ]
[Falling... falling... into darkness...]

[ 01 + 02; dorm halls and cafeteria ]
[If you happen to be in the dormitory hallways, there's someone you're likely to see. There's a black-coated small figure with a full head of brown spiky hair making his(?) way towards the stairs. If you get a good look at their face, it's pretty clear they're out of it. And, somehow, the hair is more messy than it should be.Whoo, bedhead.
In the cafeteria, Xion can be found sitting by herself, picking at the food on her plate. Despite the almost overwhelming force of her hunger, she doesn't... really want to eat. She knows she needs to, because it would maybe give her the energy to combat how absolutely tired she feels, but... bleh.]

[ 03 ; floor eleven ]
[She died.
That's what happened, right? They had found her otherself, Axel had grabbed her, and then they turned to fight all the way back down... It wasn't that she was tired, or hurt too bad, or anything. She was doing fine. With Oathkeeper and Oblivion drawn and Riku and Sora at her side, she had felt like maybe... she could take on the world, you know? She thought that they were gonna be okay. And then, and then -- She doesn't know how it happened, where it came from, but that not-Heartless bird came in and knocked her feet out from under her, carried her off the ramp, and then she was falling. She tried to Aerial Recover, but she was too far away, she couldn't grab the ledge, and Oblivion couldn't break through the stone enough to hook on, and she...
And then she died. Because that's what happens when you fall from a who-knows-how-tall tower, right?
But she's here. She's still here, somehow. She's even managed to find ice cream. It's not sea-salt -- it doesn't really taste like much of anything, really -- but it's ice cream in bar-on-a-stick form, and the familiarity is all she can ask for right now. That's why she decided to seek out this floor after she found the ice cream. It isn't, and won't ever be, the Twilight Town clock tower. But, then... She doesn't want it to be. That would bring back too many bad memories right now.
Your... friend? Roxas, do you think I could be a friend?
When Axel gets back, let's ask him. Then all three of us can have ice cream together!
It hurts. She manages to fight back a sob by distracting herself with ice cream.]
It's not salty... and it's barely even sweet. [She tries to smile a little, for herself. For him. She whispers,] Eating ice cream by yourself... really isn't the same, is it, Roxas?

ice cream.]
I... I'd like that, yes.
no subject
Whenever you're ready.

She... isn't sure she understands what's going on, but Xehanort seems to want to make friends with her, so... Having new friends is never a bad thing, right?]
Okay... Ready.

Sometimes it's entirely too easy. Taking it slow and being careful to cover his tracks will ensure that perhaps this is one connection that won't get pulled before its time.]
All right. If you'll come with me... [he makes a grand, sweeping gesture towards the doors with a grin]
no subject
Where are we heading?
no subject
[It's a long walk, but he tries to break it up and make it somewhat interesting by pointing out random things he's observed about the various areas every now and then. He has no idea if it's even remotely engaging to Xion at all, but he feels that the offer of information, even if it's rather "safe" information, might help create a link between them of some sort.
At the restaurant itself, of course, comes the real trial. The staff politely inform the two of them that they'll need a specific sort of flower as payment. Xehanort combs his mind carefully, trying to think if he knows of such a type of flower and where it could possibly be found in a place like the tower.]
no subject
Maybe we should check the forest floor -- not the new one, but the one that's farther down. It's more dangerous, but it has more weird flowers there, too.
no subject
This flower should have six yellow petals in the shape of spines. It will be fairly distinctive. It grows in the decomposing matter at the base of trees. With any luck, we won't have to go too far inside to find some.
no subject
Good! I want to hurry up and have some ice cream all ready. [She smiles, and for a moment, she looks even more like Sora than usual.] Let's go!
no subject
[That expression... he regards it for the merest moment. It's odd to think that someone is actually enjoying themselves in his presence. He hasn't seen anyone smile like that since... Braig, most likely. It's surreal in a fashion, but he takes it to heart that perhaps this may end well.
And back down the stairs they go. Good thing all that darkness keeps him spry, or she might have had to carry him by now! Ha ha ha.... sigh. He steps off the stairs onto the sixth floor cautiously, beginning to pool darkness within himself just in case. While this should be a fast in and out sort of event, he'd rather not be caught unprepared. Having multiple plans is his specialty, after all.]
It may be prudent to stay close together until we're certain of what we're dealing with. There is an element of uncertainty to all things in this place, after all.
no subject
She nods in response to his suggestion, and then adds her own.] Let's start over there, then. There are a lot of trees and flowers that way.
[... how should she... how... um...
... nope, she's just going to be awkward about it for a while. alskdfjkfd HOW DOES SHE SAY "YOUR DARKNESS IS MAKING ME WORRIED" TO SOMEONE WHO'S BEEN NICE TO HER WITHOUT BEING RUDE.]
no subject
[He begins to walk in the direction she suggested, deciding to place himself in a protective posture as a good measure. Whether she follows or not is of course up to her, and how far back she stays, but the motion is made.]
no subject
That's... [um. uh.] ... a lot of darkness. [small fidgeting. jdfkf.
OH LOOK AT THESE PRETTY FLOWERS, ARE ANY OF THEM WHAT THEY'RE LOOKING FOR??......... nope, but it gives her something to do to distract herself okay]
no subject
It is simply a precautionary measure. Darkness is a tool just as much as anything else. If properly wielded and managed, there is little harm or risk.
[It's plain to see just how uncomfortable she is, but laying it on thick with her seems to be doing the job, so...]
... does it make you uncomfortable?
no subject
I... No, no! I just... was worried. It's okay. It... What you just said, reminds me of a friend of mine. He uses the darkness, too, but he's still a good person.
I literally have no NICE smiling icons so I had to use this sob

... you know... I don't think anybody's ever explained it like that to me before.
oh my god I'm crying I'm so sorry
[Another smile.] Perhaps if you have time, I could speak with you more on these things. I would rather not bog down our search, as it's a subject I myself am quite interested in and I fear I may take up too much time with my words.
jdslkfkjdkfjj THESE TWO
I... [Xion nods.] I would like that. ... Thank you.
sob what have we done
[There's that smile again. STOP SMILING XEHANORT YOU'RE KILLING PUPPIES.] It would be my pleasure. For now, let's move on. There is ice cream waiting, after all...
something horrible and beautiful
[Hmmmm. Let's see. Maybe it's over the...
What's that rustling sound.
Reflexively, Xion steps back closer to Xehanort, Oathkeeper and Oblivion coming to her hands without a second thought. She doesn't know what it is, but... if it's dangerous...]
Re: something horrible and beautiful
Oh. It's a deer. That's hardly threatening.
Except when it licks its lips, mouth opening to reveal some rather un-herbivore-ish fangs.]

What kind of a deer is that?!
