Summary: ON THE TRAIL WE BLAZE. Waking up, battling woodland creatures, learning how to get undressed, stuff.

Room 2-10
( This probably wasn't the rudest awakening he had ever had but it certainly was the strangest. After regaining the ability to move and making horribly confused faces at his change of clothes, Spain has begun to shuffle around the room. He read the letters quickly before tossing them aside. Next, he goes through his trunk and is glad to find a change of clothes. Now, if only he can find a way to get out of these. . . )

Floors 1-5 and 7 (please specify which floor you want to find him at)
( Finally dressed, Spain begins to explore the tower. Hey! It isn't the first time he's found himself in unfamiliar territory so he knows exactly what to do. As a precaution, one of his swords is drawn.

Eventually, he sits down on one of the steps, taking a break and tugging at the collar. )

Floor 6
( This is officially Spain's least favorite floor. If you happen to be on the six floor, you might see Spain fighting off some woodland creatures, )

Back off! Stop it-- what are you-- You aren't very nice, are you? Not cute, not cu-! ¡Ay!

[There is only so long one can stare out the window lost in thought before even the recesses of one's mind become a dark and unpleasant place. Dammit, they had come so close...

Spain may notice a regal-looking young woman with pointed ears and a collar just a shade lower than his own approaching as he rests. She seems rather distracted, however, only halfway aware of her surroundings. Very nearly stumbling upon the man snaps her back into reality, though, and she bows her head slightly in apology.]

Pardon me, sir.

( When Spain looks up to find a woman coming towards him, he begins to rise to get out of her way. Of course, this only makes things worse. That awkward moment when you try to get out of the way but still get in the way. . . )

Ah, no, I'm sorry, it's my fault, miss.

[Good job, Spain. Good job. Zelda's... kind of beyond caring at this point, however, and merely takes a step back to give him space to move.

... She does tilt her head slightly after studying his features for a moment, though.]

Perhaps we share the fault in equal parts - admittedly, I have... not been the most observant lately, my apologies.

... I do not believe I have seen your face around here before, however. If I may ask, have you recently awoken here, by any chance?

[Distraction, get.]

Then I'll watch out for the both of us, hm? I have a feeling it doesn't do well to be unobservant here.

Yes, I woke up not too long ago. ( A smile, a hand to his heart, and a bow, ) Soy el reino de españa-- ah, you can call me Spain. And you are?

[... Wow, that was a string of words she didn't understand in the slightest. And she's still not accustomed to people bowing, but at least this man seems a bit more casual about it than Arthur did. She bows her head slightly in return.]

Zelda, Princess of Hyrule. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Spain. And... yes, your feeling would be correct. I suppose one can only be attentive for so long before they grow weary of it.

( That's because England is socially awkward and doesn't know how to act around a lady. )

Ah? A princess?! Really? ( He's surprised to run into someone of royal blood here. And almost immediately realizing his outburst, he tries clears his throat and says, calmer, ) I'm sorry, I wasn't expecting to find a noble here. Forgive me.

[Ah, fortunately (?) she's beginning to become accustomed to the initial fluster upon learning her status, and she merely smiles politely, shaking her head.]

There is no need to. You are not the first to say as much, and I am certain you will not be the last. All the same, I will go ahead and say that there is also no need to stand on ceremony with me - we are of equal status in this place, after all.

[Really, what clout does a princess hold without her country?]

( Is Spain standing a little straighter than usual? Ahem, he can practically hear his first queen critiquing him right now. Stand tall, hands at your side, chest out, ay, españa stand still.

But when Zelda practically tells him to relax, there's a relieved breath and then-- wait, did she mean it? Tensing up again. "Equals" isn't exactly a term that gets tossed around so casually back at home, )

But you're a princess. ( And Spain's. . . well, whatever Spain is, he isn't exactly a prince or anything of that sort! ) A-and even so, if one of my princesses was here, I would hope she would be treated with the respect, even when I am not with her. So I'm sure your Kingdom would feel the same. . . !

[Still so tense, and so insistent on formalities... Honestly, it reminds her a bit of how Arthur was when she first met him.

... But then again, Arthur did not speak so oddly. Oh, his words are coherent enough, but the placement is strange, and so that earns him something of an inquisitive look.]

Thank you; you are quite kind. ... But I must say I have not been viewed as a princess to my people in quite some time, so please, forgive me for being unaccustomed to such formalities.

[But she's still curious, and her next point is as much a statement as it is a question.]

... You are very familiar with royalty?

No, no, you don't have to apologize for anything, Princesa.

( Color Spain intrigued though. What kind of princess is she if her people did not consider her one for so long? He almost wonders if this means she's an illegitimate princess like that woman was. Where did she say she was from? Hyrule? He's never even heard of that place. Oh, no, Spain, don't assume. Okay, stopping himself from thinking anymore. )

I've worked closely with the families before in the past many times so yes, you could say that. Though, I'm not familiar with anyone from "Hyrule." Is it one of the German kingdoms?

[It's certainly not something she'll talk about easily, that's for sure. But, huh. She's still getting quite a bit of deja vu with this conversation - Arthur said he grew up around royalty, after all...]

German...? [The word is foreign to her tongue, and it's fairly obvious by the way she says it.] No, I am afraid I am unfamiliar with such a term. Hyrule is a land unto itself, and I have found that there are only a handful of people here who know of it.

[All of which hail from it, its past, or its future.]

( If he could read minds he would tell Zelda to stop trying to find comparisons between the two fo them. HE IS NOTHING LIKE ENGLAND AT ALL. Except he would say it politely because, what's up princess? )

Sí, German-- ( Hm, maybe not then. ) I see. It's strange; I've been to many places but I've never heard of such a place eve mentioned.

( He doesn't sound so much skeptical as excited. So there are still lands out there he hasn't discovered! It was beginning to get boring at home. )

It doesn't come off you know. No one's been able to figure it out at least.

[Hello good sir, a teenage girl has invited herself to sit next to you on the stairs.]

Cool sword by the way! Everything OK?

( He didn't notice anyone else was even around so when he hears her, he tightens his grip on his sword and looks up alarmed-- oh, it's just a girl. He relaxes almost instantly. )

Huh? Ah, gracias. . . Sí! I mean, no. Yes. . . I'm not really sure, haha. Are you from here? Or are you another one. . .

Hm? Oh-- I'm, not a monster or one of those creepy red-collared guys if that's what you're thinking. [Said with a sheepish chuckle, holding her hands up a bit in front of her.]

Uh, I'm not really from here either I guess! But I don't think anyone really is. I'm just kind of a normal person, so no worries...!

Ah, bien. If you were a monster I'm not sure what I would do. ( Cut her that doesn't matter because she isn't a monster yay. ) So you're another person like me? Are there any others like us here too?

If I were a monster I think your best bet would to hit me and run before I try and suck your blood or something. [Hey, the monsters here were scary and it was her job to be comic relief!]

Oh yeah, there's lots of people here! Most of the people in the tower are normal kidnapees actually. The only things that move here are monsters, normal people, or the red-collared NPC things.

( Don't mind Spain unconsciously touching his neck. Monsters that suck blood? What is this madness. )

I'll keep that in mind. ( And he touches his collar just as she mentions the people with red collars. His is violet, her's is orange. . . ) Do the colors mean something? I thought they were just to humiliate me again but. . .

[At that, she frowned.] I'm...not really sure. When I first got here I thought it was some kind of monitoring system. But everyone you see around here has them, just in different colors. I haven't been able to figure that out yet or anything.

. . . Can they be removed?

[She shook her head.] Not as far as I know, I don't think anyone's been able to get them off. Sorry.
