Characters: Mondo Oowada and you?!
Setting: Room 2-2 and all around the tower - jump in wherever
Format: Starting with prose but action prefered
Summary: Mondo doesn't take the letter well. Or being trapped somewhere with no escape. ...Again.
Warnings: ~~You are entering a world of swearing unlike any you have ever known.~~

After waking in bed and reading the 'welcome letter', Mondo crumples it up and tosses it to another end of Room 2-2. He's determined not to believe what it says, he won't accept it - but it is now stuck in his head. He doesn't care if it goes in someone else's things or even hits someone, he isn't paying attention to what or who else is around him, nothing but the trunk at the end of the bed he woke up in. There has to be something in there saying it was all a joke right? But it's only his personal things, clothes, a flag...he does, however, take the wooden practice sword.

He runs around a few floors, looking for any way out, but of course finds nothing. All the while frustration sinks in, and he continues to think about the letter - 'your world has been destroyed', but that should be impossible, if it was true, then the whole gang was gone - even the others from Hope's Peak. It doesn't matter to him that he should have already died there, if he's alive now then it doesn't make any sense, and he's just not smart enough to even think about trying to figure it out. It's probably something new by Monobear anyway. It's all about his growing anger and nervousness.

Finally he snaps and takes a punch at a window, but it has no effect. So he punches again, and again, repeating until his knuckles hurt and he remembers the sword he's carrying, swinging that at full force to the window and shouting.

"Ah, shit!! This some kind of sick fucking joke?! You hear me, you fucker?! Aa?! This is always when you pop up and say 'you're breaking school rules' or 'a body's been found', right?! Don't mess with me, bear! I'm sick of it, I'm not gonna take your shit anymore! I'm not doing or watching another punishment, I'm gonna kill you this time, you just fucking watch!!"

He certainly isn't going to let the fact one window can't be broken stop him, he'll be found on multiple floors trying to break through windows with his wooden sword, shouting various strings of profanities and death threats to Monobear.

[So, he had been wandering around the lower floors alone, as they're the safer ones he can traverse without a partner right now. Maybe he should call Naoya up on that offer sometime later, but for now, he's going to just sit in the lounge and try to sort his thoughts up.

At least.

That's before he heard a very familiar voice and some loud banging, which caused him to start up from his seat in surprise due to the noise alone. Seriously, who even does the punching windows thing this early in the morning...?

Deciding to get up, Makoto then approached the man banging on the windows (that pompadour looks REALLY familiar), and gingerly tapped him on the shoulder.]

...Um, excuse me?

[He whips around as soon as he feels the tap on his shoulder, grabbing Naegi by the collar before even waiting to see who it is.]

Aa?! The fuck do you want, huh?!

[...no.

No, no, no.

What the fuck? Would be the perfect phrase to describe Naegi's face right now, as he's staring right at the visage of a person that's supposed to be dead. He saw Mondo's execution with his two eyes, and there is no possible way for a human being to survive that!]

O-Oowada-san...?

[Maybe his eyes are playing tricks on him again, and maybe he's mistaking the person before him for another one...]

[He stares back a bit to be sure - he's not overly surprised to see someone from Hope's Peak seeing as he thinks it is Hope's Peak, but at the same time, he knows he had an 'execution'. Whatever it hurts his head to think too hard on it, everything leads in circles and makes no sense no matter what. He does at least let go of Naegi's shirt and brightens up some.]

Hey, Naegi!

Whoever this guy was, Kanji knew two things. One, that he had to be in a gang of some sort in the way he was dressed, speaking and swearing. That already had him on the edge by default, considering what had happen in Inuba. Two, that he apparently had a problem with some sort of bear.

And thus, when he finally spoke, Oowada would turn to see a student nearly the same height as him, dressed in a school outfit with the top over his shoulders, holding up a chair over his elbow. Kanji's expression was a mixture of 'watch yourself' and 'stop doing that'.

"Hit all you want, it ain't gonna work."

Mondo turns after taking another whack at the window with the sword, holding it up as he does in case the voice behind him isn't a friendly one. He certainly doesn't know anyone from the academy with that voice.

He looks Kanji up and down as he speaks - based on his appearance and way of speaking, he's definitely a tough guy. Of course, anyone like Mondo is going to think they're at least slightly tougher, but anyone who can appreciate the manly aesthetic is pretty okay by him until proven otherwise. The chair's a nice touch.

"Windows are made of glass, right?! Glass is supposed to break!"

[...N-no way, he even got his name right...! I-is this a trick!? Or is his mind is just too tired from all these developments... AUGH this is so confusing!]

Y-you're alive?

[He scratches his head, mumbling.]

So that wasn't a dream, huh...

[He just hopes everybody won't look down on him...]

Yeah, it's messed up, right? Thought I was a goner for sure. I bet that damn bear's up to something.

I... don't think it's his fault this time.

[Regaining composure, Naegi's face is going to just. Be serious again. He hasn't had the time to relax ever since his arrival since this is a totally new place and the situation back home seemed kinda... bleak.]

Did you read the letter?

Keep thinking you're tougher than him if it makes you sleep better at night. Kanji put the chair down to lean on it. So far this guy hadn't done anything that would get his ire. So far.

"This place ain't normal," he explained, punching a window as demonstration. The only thing that happened was a loud crack...and nothing else. It was like he'd done nothing. "'Sides, there ain't anything outside." They were trapped here, for better or worse.

[Abandoned schools? Credible. Robotic bears? Okay. But seeing people coming back to life travels dangerously close to the realm of magic. Kirigiri doesn't believe in such, at least through the definition that it can't be understood. Could this be a trick by Monobear? A copy of some sort? Could be him, but from a different time, like Naegi. Then again, if Monobear wanted to maximize the despair given by his 'students', then keeping them alive would be a good course of action, but there's about a dozen things wrong with that theory, starting with the fact that she saw Mondo die. Fortunately, her shock lasts all of a second before she regains her absolute composure.]

[She does not physically approach him. She may still be on speaking terms with Mondo (and even that isn't a certainty in her mind), but his actions back at the school didn't help gain her already-rare trust. Instead, she keeps her distance, speaking out only in the interest of gaining some answers.]

Oowada-kun.

You gonna believe that shit, Naegi?! Doesn't he always try to pull that crap?! What about those videos, there's no way any of this is real!!

"If nobody's been out, nobody knows that!" At least in seeing Kanji has similar luck, not to mention having someone who is currently calm around, he stops trying for the time being. He does, however, take a kick at the floor in frustration, mumbling, "Aw, shit".

[The rather sudden voice startles him, but he's sure not to show it. After turning in the direction of the source, it isn't really a surprise to see Kirigiri. She was that kind of person who just seems to move quietly and always wanders off from the group, after all...]

Aah, Kirigiri.

[And he gives a bit of a nod. Good to find other students safe.]

"There's a level where you can view outside, and a few open ones too." He crosses his arms, frustrated at the entire situation in general. "You won't like what you see. So how long you been here?"

From his guess, probably pretty new.

Mondo leans against the wall, folding his arms as well. He'll give up on that argument...for now.

"Guess maybe a couple hours, didn't look at any clocks or nothin'."

He was too embarrassed about the white outfit and in too much of a rage to care.

So he'd guessed right. He looked at him again.

"You should find clothing in your trunk. If you're gonna eat, grab the oatmeal first. Not that there ain't much to eat this month. Nothing but nutritional bars and water." More like nutritional barf, as far as he was concerned ~~haha Kanji good one~~.

"Otherwise stay in your dorm at night. Monsters come out after dark."

He'd already found two sets of clothes in the trunk, though he doesn't mind having so few changes, manly men can handle it. But, more importantly, that choice of food... "...Nutritional bars? They think people can go on just that?" A balanced diet is important!

"Aah, but the monsters, the hell is that supposed to be? I mean, we didn't go out after ten at the academy either so that's not a problem, but, what the fuck?"

Oowada-san, there is an answer for that.

Monobear was kidnapped to this place, which meant that the culprit for our disappearance couldn't be him.

[Or so Kirigiri-san told him.]

~~It's okay, Kanji can sew more.~~

"They think whatever the hell they want. Got a few guys cooking up some food but it ain't every night." And only if they feel like it. Every many for himself, after all. At least there's a supply of food. "You can try your luck at the restaurant, but they ask for payment and if you mess it up they take a part of your body."

Wasn't this a nice and cheerful place?!

"As for the monsters...bunch of shit. Shadows, strange creatures...it really ain't safe unless you know how to defend yourself."

Huh? Monobear was? How do you know he's not just saying that! He'd say anything to fuck with us!

'For what it's worth, he clearly doesn't exercise the same control as back in our world. Most likely, he's just as trapped as the rest of us.'

Kirigiri-san told me that if the bear's behind this, he'd have more control over all our actions. And there is something strange here as well...

Besides, wouldn't he just board anything that will lead us outside?

"Fucking ridiculous. Still don't think I'll hit up the restaurant when you put it like that, though..."

He grins at the mention of defending himself - sure he can, he never loses a fight, right? Monsters shouldn't be different...!

"Heh, damn right I can handle myself, I take everybody down!"

[Okay, those are good points. Naegi's smart, Mondo's not, he gets it!!]

Ah...yeah, that's true.

But, there was a window in the cafeteria, right?

While before a cocky attitude would have made him grin, the fact he sounds a little too sure of himself was likely that he might end up dead. Besides, for all the fighting he might have done, Kanji wasn't the type to actually LIKE violence. He only did it to protect others now.

"This ain't a question of people, monsters are different entirely! They won't back down. If you're not careful, they'll kill you."
