(no subject)

Characters: Fi ([personal profile] ur_batteries_are_dying) and OPEN
Setting: Floor 7, swimming pool
Format: Starting with prose but either works
Summary: After talking with Jason, Fi has learned that her Master is not really her Master. She goes to the pool to dance on water since every other floor with a body of water makes it impossible for her to dance on it.
Warnings: None but will adjust if anything happens.

Fi wandered through the floors, floating when she could and walking when she couldn't. Though it didn't take long to make it to the floor with the pool, it felt like a while.

'My Master is not my Master.' What was she to make of that? Certainly he was still technically her Master, the Chosen Hero of the goddess and carrier of her blessed blade. In that way, all the Links here were her masters. But they weren't her master.

Her foot dangled over the edge of the pool on the deepest end for only a second before she let it fall, the rest of her body falling. She didn't fall in though, she settled right on top of her water, ripples moving out from where she stood. And then she started dancing and singing.

She'd never admit it, but singing and dancing as she'd done for Master Link throughout their quest was one of the most relaxing things she'd discovered. She'll go about this for as long as possible.

Ah, you have a counterpart! Another construct--is his composition similar or different? I should tell you, as a scientist, if there are only two of you, a researcher would likely find you more interesting rather than less. And this counterpart, are you at odds with him?

You said the behavior is associated with a message. Yet there is no message? Unless the information regarding your master can be considered a message, of sorts.

[Emotional behavior: mostly pointless, in Hojo's book.]

Perhaps a display, to draw attention, to assure the authenticity of the message...

Mmm, I see. [He nods, filing this information away. He is on the world-destroying side himself, but he sees no reason whatsoever to mention that fact.] This other sword spirit, he is present in the tower?

So you are simply enjoying yourself.

[That is not scientifically significant.

Well, his love of science does give his life meaning!]

I wonder if I could ask you a favor. It might not even be possible, but I am curious.

So you've managed to avoid difficulty? Yes, this is a large place, after all...

[Which is a good thing. Hojo himself would prefer to avoid those who want to kill him--for the most part. Self-preservation isn't his top priority.

It's not that Hojo never does anything for fun, he certainly does, but he's not particularly interested in others' fun, though a construct enjoying itself--now, that is still slightly noteworthy.]
And is that usual for you? Acting with no practical purpose?

Would there be any chance of me obtaining a sample of the substance of which you are created? It might help my research. The makeup of those who are kept here could be crucial in understanding what's been done. If you cannot be divided, then-- [He shrugs.] I suppose it can't be helped.

Your purpose is no longer in effect here, so you're developing new behavior. Part of the experiment, I imagine.

[He nods, not particularly disappointed.]

I thought that might be the case, considering. Still, it's interesting that you have been brought here and collared in the same way, considering your significantly different makeup.

Have you been damaged here? I understand injuries are common, and I've had a few myself.

[The matter of her behavior was bordering on soft science, and less interesting to Hojo.]

So you have not suffered physical damage, and they have not done anything to interfere with your bond with the sword? Has your connection with it and ability to return to it ever been severed?

I wonder if you would allow me to study you, yourself, at some point. Having never encountered a similar construct, it would be quite interesting, as well as educational and possibly useful. Not merely from an academic standpoint, but studying as wide a variety of subjects from among our numbers would be best if one is to fully understand the work of our captors.
