Let's gather 'round the campfire

Characters: Ventus and EVERYBODY
Setting: Halls of the first floor Dormitory, near the stairs.
Format: Prose to start, will match you~
Summary: The power's gone out, so Ven's starting a bonfire.
Warnings: Magical fire and possibly singing TBA

Ven had only been in the tower for a little while and already something was going on. He didn't exactly understand what was going on, only that it was dark and creepy, and that none of the lights were working. Except in the rooms, but those emergency lights were almost creepier than the darkness.

He had managed to gather up some flammable materials into a pile at the end of the hallway, and with a quick "Fire!" the flames were burning and there was at least some light. And a source of heat! Thus he sat against the wall making sure the fire didn't go out, blissfully unaware of any creepy crawlies.

Oh. It's everywhere. Most people never notice, though. A shame, really. All the adventures to be had...
lamentless: (here let me babble)

...aside from everything freezing, wordthieves, and those weird monsters, I don't think there was any magic. [Even while being messed with by obviously-magical forces in his own home, he still has a hard time believing in magic.]
spacehipster: (So tell me)

[personal profile] spacehipster 2011-08-09 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Oooooh, yes! Adventures! I love adventures! Adventures are what I live for! How I live! Where I live! The Doctor's never ending adventure! Haha!
lamentless: (skepticism goooooo)

[personal profile] lamentless 2011-08-10 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
...I don't think I have any magic. [Though you clearly do. Give him some, bro.]

I've gone on adventures with my friends, sort of. We investigate a lot of weird things.
spacehipster: (Then there's nothin' in the world)

[personal profile] spacehipster 2011-08-10 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I don't see why not.

After we get out of here, you are both free to come on an adventure with me. How's that? One bona-fied, Doctor adventure. Free of charge.

'Course the first stop will be Roxas' home. I have a few monsters to deal with there.
lamentless: (forever alone)

I don't think I could leave my friends behind again... [It wouldn't be an adventure with his bros, sorry guys. BC]

... [Also he's surprised the doctor is still serious about taking care of the monsters, so have an unsocial glance-at-his-shoes.]
spacehipster: (Sienna!)

[personal profile] spacehipster 2011-08-10 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
Your friends can come along, if you like. There's plenty of room in the TARDIS. Of course, you don't have to come, if you don't want to. It's your decision.

As for monsters, I'll let you two in on a secret.

[ He pulls them into a huddle and whispers ]

Monsters, darkness, things that go bump in the night and fill others with fright?

They're scared of me.
lamentless: (the only icon i have of him smiling)

[personal profile] lamentless 2011-08-10 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
I dunno, one of them might be a bit of a hassle... [Oh, Hayner. You better not touch anything.]

...really? [Skeptical, but smiling.] Why is that? [He really is curious.]
spacehipster: (To you and me)

[personal profile] spacehipster 2011-08-13 02:33 pm (UTC)(link)
It's because I'm me. Because I'm The Doctor and every bad guy out there knows what happens when the Doctor comes to find them.
lamentless: (ahahaaha uhhhh)

[personal profile] lamentless 2011-08-13 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
You're really confident. [Understatement of the year.]

Just, when we do get there...some of the monsters aren't as bad as others. Some of them aren't even violent, so.
spacehipster: (Put some saxes with 'em)

[personal profile] spacehipster 2011-08-14 01:38 am (UTC)(link)
Not to worry, Roxas, I have a no kill policy.
spacehipster: (Why should Spain)

[personal profile] spacehipster 2011-08-14 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
It's not getting rid of them exactly. It's making them see reason. Like I said, most know better than to go up against The Doctor and his TARDIS.
lamentless: (more babble)

[personal profile] lamentless 2011-08-14 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, good. [Whew.] I'd rather make them see reason. Some of them say they're worried about me, but...

[...he's starting to feel embarrassed about all this attention.] Uh, what sorts of adventures have you guys been on?
spacehipster: ('Cause as long as we're singin')

[personal profile] spacehipster 2011-08-14 02:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[totally noticed that reaction]

I go on adventures wherever and whenever I want, really, but especially if I see something that requires my attention. Time is fixed, you see. I can't change it. It will happen the way it's meant to happen, except when it doesn't. When something is off. There are points in time that can be changed. And when you find these points, you must deal with them. They're opportunities, not just for good, but for evil.

lamentless: (im supposed to put it where?!)

[personal profile] lamentless 2011-08-14 06:37 pm (UTC)(link)
...changing time? [You've blown his mind a bit there, Doc.]

[Sigh.] I suppose you can't go back in time and make all this not happen, can you...?
spacehipster: (Long as we're singin')

[personal profile] spacehipster 2011-08-15 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
Yup. And I do it all while wearing a smashing bowtie.

[ADJUSTS THE BOWTIE] Now chin up. There's no frowning allowed. I promise it'll be okay.
