Summary: The power's gone out, so Ven's starting a bonfire.
Warnings: Magical fire and possibly singing TBA

Ven had only been in the tower for a little while and already something was going on. He didn't exactly understand what was going on, only that it was dark and creepy, and that none of the lights were working. Except in the rooms, but those emergency lights were almost creepier than the darkness.

He had managed to gather up some flammable materials into a pile at the end of the hallway, and with a quick "Fire!" the flames were burning and there was at least some light. And a source of heat! Thus he sat against the wall making sure the fire didn't go out, blissfully unaware of any creepy crawlies.

Oh. It's everywhere. Most people never notice, though. A shame, really. All the adventures to be had...

...aside from everything freezing, wordthieves, and those weird monsters, I don't think there was any magic. [Even while being messed with by obviously-magical forces in his own home, he still has a hard time believing in magic.]

Heh, maybe you can tap into your own magic some day and deal with them then. And go on your own adventures! [Laughs]

Oooooh, yes! Adventures! I love adventures! Adventures are what I live for! How I live! Where I live! The Doctor's never ending adventure! Haha!

I've gone on adventures with my friends, sort of. We investigate a lot of weird things.

After we get out of here, you are both free to come on an adventure with me. How's that? One bona-fied, Doctor adventure. Free of charge.

'Course the first stop will be Roxas' home. I have a few monsters to deal with there.

I don't think I could leave my friends behind again... [It wouldn't be an adventure with his bros, sorry guys. BC]

... [Also he's surprised the doctor is still serious about taking care of the monsters, so have an unsocial glance-at-his-shoes.]

Maybe your friends could come with. Would that be alright? [Maybe he could bring Terra and Aqua too....]

Monsters? [Oh right, he recalled them mentioning that a bit.] I can give you a hand with the monsters when we stop if you need. That way we can get it done faster and start the adventure!

Your friends can come along, if you like. There's plenty of room in the TARDIS. Of course, you don't have to come, if you don't want to. It's your decision.

As for monsters, I'll let you two in on a secret.

[ He pulls them into a huddle and whispers ]

Monsters, darkness, things that go bump in the night and fill others with fright?

They're scared of me.

I dunno, one of them might be a bit of a hassle... [Oh, Hayner. You better not touch anything.]

...really? [Skeptical, but smiling.] Why is that? [He really is curious.]

...Wow, really?! [His voice raised a bit in amazement (no skepticism there), but he lowered it down to a whisper as seemed to be appropriate.] Yeah, how come? Is it because of your own magic?

It's because I'm me. Because I'm The Doctor and every bad guy out there knows what happens when the Doctor comes to find them.

Just, when we do get there...some of the monsters aren't as bad as others. Some of them aren't even violent, so.

[He couldn't help but give a little laugh at Roxas' response.] I believe it. Some people are just that good. [He doubted any of the Unversed dared to go near Master Eraqus.]

You can get rid of monsters without killing them...?

It's not getting rid of them exactly. It's making them see reason. Like I said, most know better than to go up against The Doctor and his TARDIS.

Oh, good. [Whew.] I'd rather make them see reason. Some of them say they're worried about me, but...

[...he's starting to feel embarrassed about all this attention.] Uh, what sorts of adventures have you guys been on?

Make them see reason...? [A subtle frown there. He had killed plenty of monsters on his adventure, he had never batted an eye about it. Was that a bad thing...?]

[Hey look a subject change, roll with it.] Oh! I got to travel to a bunch of different worlds in the universe. Most of the time I was looking for my friend though.

[totally noticed that reaction]

I go on adventures wherever and whenever I want, really, but especially if I see something that requires my attention. Time is fixed, you see. I can't change it. It will happen the way it's meant to happen, except when it doesn't. When something is off. There are points in time that can be changed. And when you find these points, you must deal with them. They're opportunities, not just for good, but for evil.

...changing time? [You've blown his mind a bit there, Doc.]

[Sigh.] I suppose you can't go back in time and make all this not happen, can you...?

You travel around fixed time in order to keep things from changing time where it can be changed so that it can be fixed?

[His mind is also kind of blown. Even if he's kind of confused. It sounded cool enough.]
