Setting: Halls of the first floor Dormitory, near the stairs.
Format: Prose to start, will match you~
Summary: The power's gone out, so Ven's starting a bonfire.
Warnings: Magical fire and possibly singing TBA

Ven had only been in the tower for a little while and already something was going on. He didn't exactly understand what was going on, only that it was dark and creepy, and that none of the lights were working. Except in the rooms, but those emergency lights were almost creepier than the darkness.

He had managed to gather up some flammable materials into a pile at the end of the hallway, and with a quick "Fire!" the flames were burning and there was at least some light. And a source of heat! Thus he sat against the wall making sure the fire didn't go out, blissfully unaware of any creepy crawlies.

Romeo's mouth dropped open, "You made fire! Like magic! Are you a witch?" Romeo wasn't scared at all, indeed he edged closer.

Romeo's enthusiasm elicited a happy laugh from Ven. "Nah, I'm not a witch." Though he'd met one before. She was not a nice lady. "I'm a Keyblade Wielder. We learn to use magic in battle to fight against the Darkness."

"A keyblade wielder? What's one of those?" He squinted around the dark coridoor, "You fight darkness? Like this? With fire?"

"They're warriors of Light who utilize weapons called Keyblades--they basically look like swords except with a pole instead of a blade and a keyhead at the end-- to defend the balance of the World." He's getting awfully excited about all explaining this. It was rare that he was the one that got to do the explaining!

"Um, kind of. But the Darkness we fight takes the form of monsters called the Heartless or corrupts people's hearts. We can use fire and other magic like thunder and ice magic. But wind magic's my favorite." And insert happy grinface.

They fought monsters with keys? Romeo's eyes widened because it sounded like something from a scary story! "You fought monsters! Wern't you really scared?"

"Nah, I've been trained to fight them since I was little." Ven smiled again as he reached into his pocket and pulled out his green Wayfinder, dangling the star-shaped keepsake in front of him. "I got scared a few times, but my friends helped me through it." And well, it certainly hadn't been the monsters he had been afraid of.

"That's amazing! You must be very brave," he looked at the star that the boy had pulled out of his pocket, "What's that?"

Aw geez kid, you're making him blush. "Thanks! It's not that hard to be brave though."

"It's a good luck charm my friend made for me before we had to go fight the monsters," Ven said, spinning it around a bit on the string. "It's magic, so we'll always be connected!"

Romeo smiled, he always found that as long as you had your friends with you and kept your spirits up it wasn't hard to be brave! "You're friends sound nice! It's good that you are still conected to them!"

"Maybe I can introduce them to you one day. They're the best," and he laugh a bit "and probably stronger than me. One of them's already a Keyblade Master!"

Ven stuffed the wayfinder back in his pocket. "What about your friends? What are they like?"

Romeo smiled, "I hope that they get rescued so I can!" He smiled and stared into the fire, "I have a few friends I met here, Molly is one of them she's a princess superhero and really really nice! Fluttershy is nice too, she's a pony and Kanaya is also my friend. There's some adults as well!"

A indigent squeeking sounded and Romeo giggled, "Oh and Piccolo," he reached into his jacket and brought out the weasel. "He came with me from home."

Ven couldn't resist a small laugh. "A princess and a pony?" Wonder what kind of worlds they're from~

He looked confused at the squeaking sound, but when the weasel came out, he grinned again. "Hehe, hey there little guy!"

"I bet they are from really exciting ones! Molly is super strong and Fluttershy can fly!" He let Piccolo down between them and the weasel went to sniff at the other boys boots. "You can pick him up if you want, he's really friendly!"
