Characters: Kota and anyone
Setting: The lounge/floor 38, then at the kitchen
Format: Starts with prose, will follow whichever!
Summary: The usual reaction of finding out your world's destroyed
Warnings: None for now, but will change accordingly
[Starts at dormitory, then wanders to Floor 38]
Kota stayed still on his bed for a while, dumbfounded for the most part and partly from the sleep paralysis. Where the heck was he? He was sleeping in histrashy room at the Den, not in this...weird place! As the paralysis wore off and he slowly got up, he found the letters addressed to him. His world, gone? That can't be right, not when things were starting to look up with Lindow back at the Den!
He took a quick look around the room before resting his eyes on his God Arc that was propped up against a chest. He moved over to the chest and opened it, which revealed a few recovery items as well as...
"Nozomi's charm..." He found himself taking a familiar charm out. The charm that his little sister had made for him... He gazed down at it as he fell to his knees, despair setting down heavily onto his shoulders. "No... It... It can't be true...!"
All the things he had been fighting for... Gone? He didn't want to believe it.
After a while, he was able to bring himself to get out of the dormitory room. He wandered aimlessly, almost dropping his God Arc a few times due to not being able to put his mind into anything else. The world... His friends... His family... Gone... He was still having a hard time fully digesting it. Soon, he found himself in a room with no walls. No, it was glass all around. Kota staggered over to the glass and gazed out at the clouds.
[Kitchen...]
Eventually, Kota got bored of the lounge room and he wandered around once again, this time looking to get something to eat. God Eaters ate up more energy than regular humans, and after sleeping for who knows how long, his stomach was demanding that he get something to eat. He looked over at the menu, giving a gulp as his mouth watered.
Did he forget about the oatmeal requirement? Possibly...

"You catch on quick," he replied. "Those are the rules apparently, one unable to be broken, unless you like cleaning the floors."

"Wait..." Kota raised a hand, unsure whether to keep talking about this. "...What exactly does happen if you ignore this rule?"

Easy enough explanation. And he couldn't put it any better.

Kota gave a sigh and a shrug; there wasn't much else he could do at this point. "They wouldn't require you to take money for the required meal, right?"
He curiously looked at the menu again for anything he may need to look out for.

If Hei could cook, he definitely would. Cooking was one of the few things he could do and like, and want to do no matter what. This week was not a good one.

"I completed lots of missions before. If it's payment they need, I'll get them!" Anything for food. Well, almost anything... He'd do anything for Bugarally, though.
If he knew how, Kota would have probably thought of cooking for himself.

Still, he said something about missions...
"What missions are you talking about?"

For Kota, though, knowing his family was safe was good enough reward back when his world existed.
"...But I guess it's not going to be that simple, huh?" He then said, still looking closely at the menu.

Hei had to ponder what he said. Monsters? World Destruction? This had held some merit, though he also wondered just what kind of creatures resided in this world. He was no stranger to the bizarre and horrific, but he preferred to be away from it.
"At any rate, I suggest gaining as much information as you can as soon as you are done eating your oatmeal."
