Summary: Sora hasn't been sleeping since the labyrinth event, and now with one of his roomies disappearing and being replaced, he's even worse.
Warnings: Sleep deprivation in action, in case that's a trigger!

[Sleep is hard to come by when you're actively keeping yourself awake. And when you're afraid of nightmares that hit on your loneliness and deepest fears, then you don't want to sleep, and end up with a very jittery, paranoid and irritable boy. That's where Sora is now, staring off into space as he sinks back into a chair. He's not really very attentive, and this could have bad consequences, really.

He's also much quieter than before, which is a feat in itself. So he may not even be noticed at first. Oops.]

[Eikichi had come here for a little bit of relaxing - especially after that weird guy posting stuff about how everyone came from different worlds it was...disheartening somewhat.

He did notice, however Sora trying to stay up and looking extremely dizzy for it. The tales of insomnia were all over him and...could only imagine what had been happening. Cause he had those too. Those damn nightmares. But, you know, just to make sure.]

Hey! You okay kid?

[It takes a good fer minutes for Sora to even realize Eikichi is talking to him, and then he'll turn and kind of stare. He nods slowly, then sinks further into his seat. He's not talking, not yet, because he kind of thinks you're a hallucination. Oops.]

[Yeah. Right. That nod after waiting for so long was totally going to make you think you were alright. Even Eikichi's not that dumb okay.]

Look, Michel has a feeling that something's up. You look like you haven't slept in days.

[It was an idle wander that'd led up to the lounge; he'd been passing through floors without going far - filing away for later and further exploration, with some annoyance at passing the levels where his powers cut out - something that'd limit too much in-depth prodding until he was more recovered from his imprisonment.]

[Finding someone that didn't seem to be paying much attention on what seemed to be the highest floor he could get to was enough to pique his curiosity; he wasn't foolish enough to assume the boy was helpless - not with his personal experience with someone about that age that'd beaten him. It did lead to an illusionist casually leaning on the back of his chair, trident leaning beside him...and giving a minute before saying anything.]

This seems like an unsafe place to be inattentive.

[ Ciel's only been in the tower for a few days yet, but floor 38 is the area he's come to frequent most. the view is interesting, the furniture moderately comfortable, and it seems relatively safe.

though he's not nearly as worse for wear as Sora, he's tired. he's found it practically impossible to rest in his own room, in the company of three strangers--and risking sleep anywhere else is risky. at the moment, he's curled up in a chair with a book: the single book which had been brought with him in his trunk, a collection of works by Edgar Allan Poe. he glances up at the sound of footsteps, and watches Sora settle himself in a nearby chair. it's all too obvious that he's not doing well. Ciel watches him over his book for a moment, contemplating whether to speak up or not. finally, he does. ]

Are you planning on sleeping here?

[ he almost wouldn't blame him if he was. having roommates is terrible--as far as Ciel's concerned, at least. ]

[Sora does indeed get away un-noticed. At least, for a while, anyway, until the spikes of his hair catch the attention of someone coming into the Lounge. Now, Zack has been told about "copies"; the same person twice over, but he's yet to experience it with someone not from his own world and thinks that this Sora is the one he met before. This...may get tricky.]

[There he was. Suzaku went over to him, crouching next to the chair he was sat in. Suzaku had been worried, Sora had been avoiding him lately and he could only guess at what had happened to him in punishment for helping those in the labyrinth but if it was anything like his and Psi's punishments for failing...]

Sora?

[He isn't the only one who hasn't been sleeping much and/or well. Riku, too, has been suffering nightmares, even now that Sora is alive and safe... though they have been somewhat lessening at least.

He has been reclusive in the days before... so damn focused on his own pain... but he isn't the only in the tower, and he certainly not the only who had who had been affected by the recent happenings. Which is why running into the other Sora on his way down into the tower to spend the night out, seems to be convenient enough an excuse to check on him.]

[Nightmares seem very common these days, huh? It's bad enough that Riku here had to deal with a horrible nightmare when he died in the labyrinth, but hearing about how the worlds supposedly were all gone...

Kairi. His Kairi. And Sora, too...

It's no wonder he looks so exhausted when he enters the room, complete with dark circles under his eyes. However, when he spots Sora, he'll cautiously approach.]

[Coming in with a few books for a bit of reading in comfort, Xehanort definitely notices Sora staring off into space. His body language is closed, nervous, tired. Clearly he's not doing well.


It bears attempting to mollify him. Perhaps it will reinforce that trust he's trying to instill in the boy. He sets the books down on a chair before approaching silently, kneeling down next to him and speaking softly.]

You seem troubled, my boy. What's on your mind?

I haven't.

[Still thinking you're a hallucination, dude. Sorry.]

[reversedestiny]

[And Sora isn't helpless. Roughly nine years of training under a madman. Sora slowly tilts his head back to look at him. Oh.]

...I'm not inattentive.

[reversedestiny]

[Normally, Sora would have noticed Ciel. Normally. But he hadn't, not until the other spoke, and when he does? Sora blinks quite a few times and looks around wildly, like this is some new thing--that someone must have arrived, or he must be hallucinating again. Either way, Sora doesn't seem to entirely think Ciel is there.]

No. Just resting. It's quiet here.

[It will get tricky indeed, since this isn't the Sora Zack knows! Oops. Sora will sink further in his chair rubbing at his temples now.]

I'm fine. How many times am I going to have to say that!?

[He doesn't want to worry Suzaku. So he'd been avoiding his room and the people therein. Unfortunately, it was inevitable they'd run into each other eventually.]

What?

[reversedestiny]

[Sora just grumbles in response. He doesn't want to talk, sorry, Riku. He could easily be coaxed into doing so, but right now, he's grumpy and tired.]

[reversedestiny]

Hey.

[By this point, Sora's curled up on himself, hugging his knees to his chest and just trying to keep himself awake. He refuses to sleep, even if it kills him.]

[reversedestiny]

...Bad dreams. Really bad dreams.

[They hadn't stopped, and had just gotten worse, really. He doesn't dare sleep to find out what's going to happen this time.]

[Big oops. Normally Zack would have been willing to give the benefit of the doubt and take whatever answer came, but after that little snap and with how Sora's acting...nope. He's had too much experience with this kind of behavior to just let it slip.]

Probably a lot more, I think. Cause you don't look okay.

[Looks like he's about to keel over...or fall asleep in that chair, which ever happens first.]

[He rests a hand on Sora's shoulder in a comforting gesture, although how the boy takes it remains to be seen.]

[Suzaku is an expert on avoiding people, but Psi and Signless were slowly teaching him that he probably shouldn't, which meant Sora probably shouldn't either.] Do you want to talk about it?

[It's probably stating the obvious on his part, but hey. Sometimes it's good to just talk; that's one thing he's definitely learned from hanging out with Donald and Goofy.]

[Well, Riku is a patient guy. He has no issues with sitting down on one of the couches and waiting until Sora feels ready to talk, if that is what he wants. If not, that is fine too. He won't press (for now).]
