Setting: Starts from the 4th Floor (outside RM 04-08) then all over the tower, towards nightfall! ~~(Mun? Why u do dis?)~~

Summary: Chihiro is absolutely terrified and disoriented upon his arrival here and has wandered out of his dorm room trying to find a way home only to encounter the monsters that come out at night... ~~MONDO~~ SOMEBODY SAVE HIM!
Warnings: Monsters? And anyone who doesn't know him will definitely think he's a girl. He's baby-faced, dressed in a girl's school uniform (it's rather conservative in style and not super short!), short (just under 5 foot) and his voice hasn't changed yet. Plus Chihiro is a unisex name...

[W-what is this place? Is this part of the school? But this isn't his room! Where are his clothes? Why is there a collar round his neck? Why couldn't he move just now? Is this Monobear's doing? What is going on? Why can't he remember coming into this room? All these thoughts race round Chihiro's head as he pulls himself up sobbing from the bed. He has to find the others. Maybe he should go look for Mondo. Mondo will protect him! He is certain of that!

Though he's still shaking with fear, he makes himself look all over the room for his clothes, eventually finding them in the chest at the foot of his bed. He quickly dresses. Then he grabs the telescope stand inside the chest as a weapon. He's not sure if it'll be good enough... but he has to try! He has to! This is part of being stronger!

Then he carefully opens the door and heads outside, clutching the telescope stand for dear life! For a moment, he just stares at the glass floor under his feet. Then he suddenly hears a cry of pain. He turns over to look...]

AHH! S-S-S-Stay away from me! Don't-Don't come near!! [He waves his makeshift weapon at the Bullfairy flying towards him!] Don't- [Then he blots and runs off blindly in a wild panic!]

I'm sorry...

[He screams at the sight of the monster and quickly ducks behind Shinjiro.]

[Alright if he can get all the attacks at him instead of this kid, it'll be good. He uses the axe to push it away before quickly calling up his Persona. The card, earned from defeating his own Shadow in the tower and with Yu's help means at least he won't be traumatized with Shinjiro holding up a gun to his forehead. Thankfully. He uses his axe to cut the card in half.]

Augustus!

The bluish energy explodes and enters his body, emerging as a a giant Persona before him. The creatures towers the both of them nearly five times and uses the spear to pierce the creature blocking their path like a Shish Kabob, as Shinjiro continues to climb up. They still have a lot of levels to do and it is getting darker.]

Keep up.

[At least with his Persona they have a good chance of making it up to the top.]

[Chihiro just stares in amazement at the gigantic Persona. Where did it come from? What was it? Was this... magic? But magic isn't real... Then he shakes his head to clear it and runs after Shinjiro to keep up.]

Where... Where are we going?

Back up to the dorms. It's safer there. They're on the top levels.

[And it's a long way up :| At least it's just climbing stares for now, with creatures lunging at them.

Speaking of which, more monsters! You can continue thinking magic still doesn't exist but you might have just seen Shinjiro yell out, punching to the floor, his Persona mimicking his movements...and then a giant glowing yellow fist appear into thin air and smash the creatures in front into a pulp. God's Hand's at work.]

Can you fight any?

[Otherwise he's going to put you on the 'shit list of people who are not going out at night when he's on patrol']

Oh, I see!

[He tries his best to keep up but is soon panting hard, he's never been athletic. A part of him believe it's magic but the other part thinks that maybe the Persona and the monsters were some sort of very advanced virtual reality fighting simulation...]

No... I can't. Sorry.

[He really hates how weak and helpless he is right now...]

Now on, you stick to the dorms at night until you can learn to defend yourself.

[Oh god is she (or what he assumes is a girl anyway) panting already they still had about ten more floors to go...siigh. He turns around and notices things sneaking in after them.]

Dammit!

[Suddenly, he grabs Chihiro and throws him right where Augustus is moving. You want someone nice and polite, NOPE there isn't any time when monsters are also suddenly attacking from the back. His axe connects exactly where the other student was standing mere seconds ago, knocking a monster out. The giant persona catches the boy with one arm protectively as it moves upwards while using the other to attack, much like a football player. You get a front row seat at the spectacle too! Only a few floros left before they reach the ones where powers don't work, but at least now you don't have to run, Shinji's doing most of it.]

Listen up! The minute Augustus fades out, I'm grabbing you and making a run up the other levels. Got that?

[You don't have much of a choice, really.]

Mn. [Nods.]

[He screams as he's suddenly thrown towards the Persona and caught like a football. It's a good thing he's so compact.]

I-I got that!

[Shinji doesn't say anything else, too busy slicing more monsters as they get to their destination. At level 31, the Persona fades as the powers fade and he free falls right into Shinjiro's elbow. Time to run.

What follows is a front row seat viewed from backwards as he climbs up, the monsters flooring behind them, as Shinji cuts the ones in front. Thirty two, thirty three, thirty four, thirty five...thirty six gets harder with pieces of the staircase broken. They nearly fall at one point, but after a bit of cursing they manage to get over it, just as blackish masses reach for them through the cracks...thirty seven!

Just as they were about to get hit by a giant monster, Augustus reappears and throws his lance into it. Shinji doesn't even bother changing where Chihiro is on his elbow as they finish running up the last two levels before arriving in the dormitories. The monsters look from downwards before dissipating. They could still attack, but they know the population is much higher and it wouldn't just be Shinji they'd be facing against.

He finally puts the guy down, panting. The Persona disappears in a blueish burst of light, and he puts down his axe to the floor.]

Tch. Why'd I think patrolling was a good idea...this is worse than rescuing in Tartarus.

[Have a glare from him now that they are out of danger.]

If you can't fight, why'd you go down at that hour?

[Chihiro decides to just close his eyes and cling on tightly to Shinjiro during all that.]

I... I... didn't know there would be monsters. I just woke up and then... and then...

[OH GODS IT'S ATTACHING ITSELF ON TO HIM Shinji is not a contact person unless your name is Minako get it off get it...siiiigh. And audible groan escapes from his mouth, both from the situation and the fact that he couldn't have known. A little later and that kid might have been sliced open by the monsters. Hell of a way to learn about the dangers of the tower.]

Dammit, this place really needs a notice somewhere for that crap.

[So tempted to just shake him off, but he's not. Just...continue to be uncomfortable.]

[He just going to cling a little while longer till he calms down a bit. Then he's doing to realize what he's going and quickly detach himself.]

I'm sorry... [Both for the clinging and for being weak.] Are you alright? Did you get hurt?

[Yes good. Thank you for giving him his personal space again. Although now, of all times, he is suddenly reminded of the promise him and Aki made way back then. Grow stronger to protect others. Heh. He wondered what the other would think of him right now...]

...yeah I'm fine. Been through much worse. [A pause before speaking again.] Stop apologizing.

[Pause.]

D'you manage to eat something yet? You gotta have the oatmeal first or else your body's gonna reject all you eat.

Oh...

[shakes head] I haven't eaten anything yet. Oh, okay...

[DAMMIT. That is just when he'd fought all his way up... Shinjiro sighs.]

You wait here. Should be back in about thirty minutes. If I ain't back, assume I died.

[He says is to nonchalantly.]

...we don't really die here. Just end up waking up a day later in bed.

[AND OFF HE GOES AGAIN!]

Ah! But-but I don't have to eat now! I can eat tom- die?? Don't really- wait!

[But Shinjiro has already run off... so there's nothing much for Chi-tan to do but to sit down in the hallway and wait.]

[About twenty-five minutes later, the sounds and screams of the monsters can be heard as Shinjiro returns, the outfit covered in splatters of probably a bunch of monsters, both with blood and...who could really tell what it was, plasma? green glowing stuff?...regardless there was a lot of it. He put the axe over his elbow when it was all done, panting heavily before Augustus disappeared again when the monsters left. He turned to see the kid and silently dumped a bowl in his hands that was in a plastic wrap. The cover had protected it from the carnage splatter.]

Here.

[And you better eat it up and not complain about the taste.]

[Chihiro feels so guilty when he sees the state Shinjiro is in when he comes back.]

T-Thank you...

[He doesn't really feel hungry anymore but... he doesn't want to make him angry so he removes the plastic wrap and silently eats up the icky oatmeal, before asking...] Are you... alright?

[It's okay. Shinji's seen worse...which is saying something. This is the guy that needed five shots of a gun used to kill elephants with one shot, after all.]

...tch. Don't bother.

[Shinji hates being thanked. He whites some of the glowing plasma as it splatters on the floor.]

Yeah. I'm alright. You get used to this sort of thing where I come from.

[He continues eating] What is the place you're from like?

[He looks away before answering.]

Same like yours. Only difference is we had the Dark Hour at midnight when the Shadows would come out. Only a few could see it happening at all, most just turned into coffins for the duration of it.

Shadows? Are they like g-ghosts? Eh? The Shadows turn into coffins...?

Tch. No.

Humans turn into coffins to escape the dark hour. Those that don't might turn into shadows or die being attacked by them. Only those that were up during the hour knew about it.

... humans? Humans can do that? ... then what if you were asleep?
