Characters: soma, hyunlee, and you!
Setting: fourth floor; five minutes before nightfall.
Format: action.
Summary: hyunlee's out, trying to understand about this tower. he shortly encounters two monsters (centaur and failed FEV subject), but thankfully he isn't alone.
Warnings: not much, just taking care of monsters.
[ The sun has almost completely set... As Hyunlee straightens his Fenrir New-Type uniform, his eyes roam cautiously around these halls. Something just didn't feel right about this place. While he didn't know what it could be, he does know something else. He's not about to just lounge around and accept what a simple note has told him. There's no way that he can just be happy, especially not after being told that his world has been destroyed.
There's no way he can believe that easily, either. That's at least a simple goal in mind, he needs to find out why, the real reason of why that note was sent to him. Why was he brought here? Is it because he's a rare New-Type? Perhaps he might've been simply kidnapped. Or if his world is truly destroyed, then what of the others? Are they all right? Is he the only one here? There's just so much questions that plague the New-Type's mind.
That is until after he turns at the next corner, then he finds his eyes quickly widening at the sight of unfamiliar creatures. The looks they have are dreadful, enough to cause his heart to skip a heavy beat. Their features are instantly recognizable. The shape of their bodies and its physical traits, regardless horribly indescribable due to its unspeakable horrors... They're not just monsters. These are... Undoubtedly mutated humans! ]
What—
[ Hyunlee takes a small step backwards, not wanting to kill them at first if they're still sentient to an extent. Though, that didn't seem to be the case. It's shortly did those creatures wordlessly start crawling towards him in haste, not giving signs of consciousness at all. That's why the boy makes no hesitations himself, drawing out his God Arc (which literally came out of his wrist armlet) and going into position. ]
I don't know what you are. But, if you're going to get in my way...!

I don't know what you are. But, if you're going to get in my way...!
no subject
Yes, all right...
[He's a little too spooked now to be excited by anything else, anyway. Unless something below their floor can cause immediate ease, which he kind of doubts. He turns around, leading the way one more time as they go down another floor.
During their walk, Hyunlee idly moves a hand to hold his armlet. A thought crosses him, but he didn't want to say it out loud. He didn't have any P53 Bias Factor in his room's chest. What if there aren't any here? He's going to...]
no subject
The Bias Factor only escaped Soma's mind up until now was due to the fact that he didn't need to inject it. His body took care of that by itself naturally.]
...Don't worry about that right now. We'll figure something out for your armlet later.
[A slight pause.]
If worse comes to worse, I'll take care of it.
1 / 2
Regardless, taking them from Soma is no different from taking blood from him daily. That just won't do.]
Senpai...
no subject
Yes. I'm sure we can figure out something... [More like, they have to.] I can't do that to you, even if it's for my own good.
...but, thank you. I'm really happy.
no subject
My only concern is if you had to take it, how would your body be able to handle it.
[P53 Bias Factor was made for human body. Injecting Oracle Cells into a human's body while in their purest forms could also be as dangerous as not having any Bias Factor at all.]
We'll save it as a last resort. I'd rather not have you get devoured by your own God Arc.
[Soma begins to walk ahead muttering as he passes by the other boy.]
Then it'll end up being my duty to taking care of that part of the job.
no subject
[Hyunlee can see where Soma is coming from, because he's been reckless not long ago. He's received various scoldings from it, but he didn't have a choice at that time because no one else was around to protect those at the Den.
That's why, since then, Hyunlee's doing his best not to be so careless anymore. Though, when it comes to situations like those, what other choice did he have? If he's forced in a tight spot like that again...
But, maybe that's why Soma's doing his best to be careful in his place.]
no subject
...He didn't say anything about himself though. Because Soma is obviously the more responsible one around here. Cough.]
...The sick bay here is a lot larger than the one back in the Den.
1 / 2
Copy a certain someone's voice:]
"Tch! That damned idiot, can't even follow his own orders..."
[...OKAY, GOING TO RUN AWAY NOW. BEFORE HE GETS PUNCHED.]
no subject
Oh, S-Soma! Look!
no subject
Is that lame imitation suppose to be him?!]
Hey, how about I make it so that we do have a legit reason to be here?
[Insert obligatory knuckle cracking here.
Soma will give him a punch for that awful imitation. And another punch just because he wants to beat him up. This idiot leader of his...
And just as he manages to catch up to Hyunlee, the boy seems to be distracted by something on the shelves.]
..What? Too small to reach something?
[He finally directs his gaze onto the object that's holding the boy's attention. And then even Soma is surprised by the find.]
....What is that doing in a place like this?
no subject
[SOMA, LEARN TO RESPECT YOUR SUPERIORS... Out of bad habit, Hyunlee still calls him "senpai," even now... Time to time, anyway!!
...anyway.]
Hey, if they know about the Bias Factor... That means they know about God Eaters, don't they? Maybe we're in another God Eaters' Den? Though, if that's the case, then there's no reason for them to lock their terminals away from us...
no subject
[He's going to be even more mean by waving his hand in a dismissing manner. Rude.]
You mean we've been brought to another branch? Sounds plausible... but then why would there be creatures roaming the area? This place is totally unprotected.
no subject
[Staring at the vial, Hyunlee seems hesitant about something. It seems that there's a good supply of the Bias Factor. It would only be safe to assume that this place could house some other God Eaters, right? Maybe they've been collected here to fight those things? There is one thing, though...]
But, those things earlier... They weren't Aragami. They seemed more like mutations from a failed project... Would they necessarily need God Eaters?
no subject
[Though Hyunlee brought up a good point. Those creatures were a pain but Soma is pretty sure they didn't need God Eaters to take care of them.]
Old man Sakaki is crazy, but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't push experimenting too far. But I can't say the same for the people that belong to other branches. That's why, even if we are fighting on the same side, I can't trust them.
no subject
[Because, no matter how strange Paylor may be, he cares for them in the end. Maybe he does like giving puzzles to them, but they're still vital information that always end up helping them in the long run.]
I really hope that isn't the case. There's only one floor left... Let's go see what's downstairs. Maybe there are more terminals in the lobby.
no subject
[Soma assumed the two get along very well.
And shared dirty secrets with each other or something.]You think the terminals in the lobby will work better?
[Although it can't hurt to check and the plan was to get to the first floor anyway.]
no subject
[
Wow, Soma. You're kind of the same way with that "S.O.B." Director. Oh, I mean. Cough.]Okay. Let's check it out...
[All though hesitant to leave the stock of Bias Factor, it had to be done for now. Turning away from it, Hyunlee proceeds to lead the way one last time for the ground floor.]
no subject
You know it's true. The first floor isn't much of a lobby. It's more like a cafeteria. It's not what Soma had expected to find.]
This place seems so accommodating.. and yet not so much.
[Providing them with
somewhat suspiciousBias Factor at the hospital ward, and now there's even a large dining hall. Although there didn't seem to be any staff around at the moment.]See any working terminals around here?
[From his point of view, Soma couldn't even see any kind of exit that would lead to the outside either.]
no subject
Eh?
[That's not normal in the slightest. A ground floor would always have a lobby that would lead outside, but...]
Soma... What kind of building doesn't have a proper exit?
[Though that was a question, Hyunlee's tone was harsh. He doesn't like this one bit. Earlier was already bad, but this just made it the absolute worst. It seems like they're truly trapped in here. Whoever brought them here doesn't want them to leave.]
no subject
[Soma pretty much shares the same suspicions that Hyunlee had. It seems they are trapped here with no way out. Then another question arises.]
This is worse than a prison.
[At least you had a chance of escaping there.]
...How did they even manage to bring us here then? There doesn't seem to be anything that would allow anything in or out.
no subject
[Hyunlee looks at Soma first, then eventually his eyes trail back to the staircase leading up. If they can't leave through this way, then the only other direction is...
Though, how far does this tower go? They've seen the creatures lurking. There could even be more types as they go further. If there's no other choice however, then they would need to go through it regardless.]
It's too reckless to charge in without being prepared, so maybe we should try to plan a little before we go. Plus, it seems that it's already this late...
no subject
[Perhaps these things were a lot more active during the night. He didn't want to bother with any more "surprises" that they might end up coming across the more they explore this place.]
...So... have you thought up of a plan already, leader?
no subject
[Which he hopes that won't be the case... But if it does, they're thankfully close enough to sense each other's presences.]
Anyway, we'll rest up and try to get our bearings. I'll try to check around what's in their available network, too. Maybe we can find more information there.
no subject
You though... [Soma points at Hyunlee.] Make sure you have your bullets organized this time. I don't need you shooting at me.
[Resting up isn't too terrible of an idea though. Even though he's always willing to chase down his enemies, Soma doesn't have infinite stamina. SO he nods his head a little.]
Alright... let's see if we can find something useful this time.
no subject
Hate to break it to you lot but I don't think there's anything called a proper exit in this place. You're welcome to try, however.
[ Another bite before he dusts his hands, reaching to put his gloves back on. ]
The network's down, too. Been down for oh... three days now, I'd wager?
