I Pray for the Destruction of This World...
Characters: Fou-Lu and the Tower.
Setting: Various places around the tower.
Format: Either or.
Summary: Fou-Lu's powers are going out of control. He's stuck in hybrid form. And he's not in the best of moods… (Also he's in his lowest dragon form now, but that might change…)
Warnings: Possible boss fight? Will edit if need be!
[Floor Twenty-Two]
[Some of these paintings… they show what had happened to the Fou Empire once he had fallen asleep. Even while stuck in this form, he retains enough dexterity to pull them from the walls and pile them together.]
[Fire. He dislikes using it, but his other form's skills do come in handy at times. With a small tossing motion, the paintings start to burn.]
[Floor Ten]
[Amongst the fish, a roughly man-shaped figure swims. The fish seem to leave him alone, and he seems quite comfortable there. He hasn't come out for air in a while…]
[Still, every so often he'll swipe at a fish, not caring about its size. A few of the larger ones seem to give him a little trouble, but he just flips over and slashes at them with the claws on his feet and ankles.]
[Floor Six]
[There's a cracking and splintering of wood, and from far away a tree falls. Should someone approach the scene, Fou-Lu is standing on a fallen tree, claws gripping the bark. He's shaking a little - and anyone who can sense power will be able to feel it whipping around him wildly.]

Floor 22
It's this thought that almost gets him stuck in the twenty-third floor's trap - if not for the fact that he smells the smoke from the fire before he can even begin. He eats from the edible mushrooms in his hand as he walks, what few he could find. He'd be out hunting if not for the fact that he doesn't have a proper weapon to hunt with. He can't even use his Arch because its beam fizzles out.
And this is how he finds Fou-Lu with the burning paintings, his mind wandering. He can't see the dragon god's face, since he's turned away from him. Rather than approach, he remains where he is, wary of the silhouette in the fire. That's not a monster, is it?*

Dost thou wish to speak to us?

If only that were the case. No, 'tis a record of that which they hath done to themselves. Turning from the path of peace we hadst set them upon and choosing instead to once again raise up arms against each other. Their foolishness, spitefulness, and cruelty knoweth no bounds.

That's not all of man's nature. I've met cruel, foolish men and kind, caring men alike.

'Tis but a single mortal we hath found worthy of saving. She be in this place with us, though with the creatures around we are uncertain how safe she may be...

*Because she can prove you wrong, he doesn't add.*
I don't see many creatures before the day's end, however.

*His logic's just the slightest bit fuzzy right now, that's all.*

[He looks back at the burning paintings, which are now unrecognizable, and lifts a hand. It glows for a moment, and then water splashes down onto the fire, putting it out.]

That's...impressive.
*The ability to generate water, that is, the very root of life...
...Maybe he shouldn't stay on this train of thought. After all, he knew someone else who could do that, too...*

*He holds up his hand so Fou-Lu can see it glow a soft green-white with the power of purification.*
God is much more sparing with this sort of gift than your Endless.
*And then the glow stops because he's not feeling the best.*

But we can defend ourselves. God gave humanity another kind of gift, the wisdom to create tools and weapons.
We use this wisdom to adapt very quickly to danger. Life on Earth can be difficult, but we find a way to overcome it.

Beasts in your world possess magic?

Earth has little magic of its own. If we could simply...create water from nothing, many of mankind's problems wouldn't exist.

*In other words. They are children.*

[He. Doesn't like where this train of thought is going.]

*Enoch is a rather curious person, even though he really should be looking for food.*

[There's a touch of regret in his voice. Maybe if he hadn't, this wouldn't have happened.]

What seems nonsensical to you may not seem so to the humans.

[It's... really bad, at least from what he's seen. They've done nothing but try to kill him since he woke up.]

*Glorified and yet horrible - far leaning towards the former in popular opinion.*
