01 Intro
Characters: Open
Setting: Starting at room 1-14 and moving on wards.
Format: I'll match you
Summary: A troll taken from his home and wakes up in a foreign world.
Warnings: PG13 maybe cussing from others?
[Room 1-14]
[How could this be? Once again the adult troll awoke from previous night stirrings. His visions had visited him once more and he awoke ready for a day of change. Of course the troll was surprised when he awoke and he found himself in a foreign room. It was no surprise that he his first thought was that he had been captured. The collar was definitely a signal, an odd label but it was that of a slave or bark beast and to some he was just that. He was a rogue and a mutant at that it was possible that his time had finally come?
No. He shouldn’t be jumping to conclusions so quickly. A moment is taken as he closes his eyes to listen to his surroundings. He is relieves when he hears no one. The troll stands and looks at his surroundings, immediately not finding his new attire to his liking. This is when he notices the trunk beside his bed. Carefully he opens the trunk, making sure there were no traps, and is glad to retrieve his cloak and leggings. Once he is dressed he takes it upon himself as a chance to explore.]
[Hallways]
[It felt good to be back in his familiar robes. His first trek is along the hallways of the tower and he is a bit quizzical about the constant flicker the lights give off. Such an odd technology and it was rather alien to him.]
Such an odd…technology, almost primitive and simple in its design.
[Another flicker flashes across the halls, going dakr for a few moments before the flash brightly back on.]
And…dysfunctional.
[Floor Twenty Five: The Meadow]
[He is surprised to find such a sight on this floor. The rooms before had been dark and dusty. They had been lined with furniture and almost homey in some cases. However The Signless had never been expecting to find such a sight. A warm feeling fleeted into his heart and the warmth the greeted him as ever welcoming.
The troll found a nice spot next to a small bunching of flowers. Back home it was rare to find such beauty, especially on his travels. For now he was glad to be in a peaceful place.]
[Floor 1]
[The faint smell of food has attracted him here, to the cafeteria. His hunger sack has been feeling rather vacant and the sensation was beginning to get a bit over whelming. He looks around, hoping to find some sort of nourishment. While there were many choices he was uncertain what to decide to eat. Some foods he could recognize while others he had never seen before and didn't want to take a chance.
In the end he decides to sit down on one of the tables. Maybe a bit of rest would suit him better and it would allow him time to get his thoughts straight.]

At the mention of food though a free hand comes to grasp gently at his stomach. He looks up and manages a innocent grin.]
Yes...umm nope. I have had no nutrients I visited the cafeteria earlier...but I did not wish to take something without permission. I didn't know if it would be the right choice.

[ But she took him in that direction anyway, down hallways she had been avoiding all that time. If there had been anything left other than the one item they needed, he might have taken the wrong thing and suffered terribly for it. Good for him that she found him first. ]
With the power working, however, we may be able to supply your oatmeal.
no subject
[And it probably was. Couldn't eat something he wanted like a fresh green salad or maybe some fresh caught fish...that would be satisfying to him right now. Something with the words 'Oat' and 'Meal' in it sounded similar to the feed a hoofbeast would eat. He may be a rogue and a mutant, but a working slave driven animal he was not!]

[ Though whether he's yet been informed of what a human is will be something she doesn't think to ask. There's so many here she's just gotten used to it. ]
More importantly, it is necessary to partake of it as your initiation into the Tower, as anything eaten prior will be rather messily rejected.
no subject
[He is a bit confused by her next comment. Initiation? Was this some sort of group he was joining? Perhaps a cult? Why must he eat a nutritional breakfast food of an alien species and why was it something that must happen? Again the questions filled his thoughts.]
I cannot eat any other option, before the oatmeal? There is no point to the oatmeal? If it is something I must do I will, but I still do not understand.
no subject
I imagine it may be related to whatever biological differences these collars may cause. Some chemical correction it must catalyze.
But don't treat having meals prepared for you as so new a phenomenon, my child. I simply won't hear any disagreement on this.
no subject
I understand. I will consume the meal without anymore disagreement even if it is a choice I would prefer not to make.
[Well...he had to throw some disappointment into his words.]
no subject
It is also a choice you needn't make. Leave that task to your old lusus for now, Starling. She will bring you to whatever acclimation this setting will allow.
no subject
A choice I not make? Lusus I am no longer a wriggling grub. I accept and am thankful for what help you wish to give. Only when it is necessary to help. I trust you to not treat me like a grub.
[He keeps his smile present so that she knows he is being serious, but doesn't wish to detour her advice.]
I know you are aware of this already.
no subject
What I am aware of is that you are as yet still unfamiliar with this environment. Particularly given events which have recently reshaped that atmosphere through which we are surviving, you will require a guide.
I simply must insist on providing this service!
no subject
With that said take me on a journey dear lusus. I will eat this oatmeal and explore the rest of this tower.
[He beams and comes to place a delicate hand on her shoulder. A calming gesture.]
no subject
[ She takes his hand in hers, gripping her spear tightly with the other. ] I suppose it would be silly to ask if you're equipped with any kind of armament.
no subject
[He looks to her spear and directs a gesture with his free hand towards it.]
You have enough weapon for both of us, I'm sure.
no subject
[ Even if he'd once left it, but she won't let that happen again. ]
no subject
[He doesn't know about that...yet.]
no subject
Well, I'm glad that you consider me at least sufficient.
