01 Intro
Characters: Open
Setting: Starting at room 1-14 and moving on wards.
Format: I'll match you
Summary: A troll taken from his home and wakes up in a foreign world.
Warnings: PG13 maybe cussing from others?
[Room 1-14]
[How could this be? Once again the adult troll awoke from previous night stirrings. His visions had visited him once more and he awoke ready for a day of change. Of course the troll was surprised when he awoke and he found himself in a foreign room. It was no surprise that he his first thought was that he had been captured. The collar was definitely a signal, an odd label but it was that of a slave or bark beast and to some he was just that. He was a rogue and a mutant at that it was possible that his time had finally come?
No. He shouldn’t be jumping to conclusions so quickly. A moment is taken as he closes his eyes to listen to his surroundings. He is relieves when he hears no one. The troll stands and looks at his surroundings, immediately not finding his new attire to his liking. This is when he notices the trunk beside his bed. Carefully he opens the trunk, making sure there were no traps, and is glad to retrieve his cloak and leggings. Once he is dressed he takes it upon himself as a chance to explore.]
[Hallways]
[It felt good to be back in his familiar robes. His first trek is along the hallways of the tower and he is a bit quizzical about the constant flicker the lights give off. Such an odd technology and it was rather alien to him.]
Such an odd…technology, almost primitive and simple in its design.
[Another flicker flashes across the halls, going dakr for a few moments before the flash brightly back on.]
And…dysfunctional.
[Floor Twenty Five: The Meadow]
[He is surprised to find such a sight on this floor. The rooms before had been dark and dusty. They had been lined with furniture and almost homey in some cases. However The Signless had never been expecting to find such a sight. A warm feeling fleeted into his heart and the warmth the greeted him as ever welcoming.
The troll found a nice spot next to a small bunching of flowers. Back home it was rare to find such beauty, especially on his travels. For now he was glad to be in a peaceful place.]
[Floor 1]
[The faint smell of food has attracted him here, to the cafeteria. His hunger sack has been feeling rather vacant and the sensation was beginning to get a bit over whelming. He looks around, hoping to find some sort of nourishment. While there were many choices he was uncertain what to decide to eat. Some foods he could recognize while others he had never seen before and didn't want to take a chance.
In the end he decides to sit down on one of the tables. Maybe a bit of rest would suit him better and it would allow him time to get his thoughts straight.]

[He paused remembering something else] That is another difference between humans and trolls, we do not have lusi but instead are born from other humans and live with them until we are grown... some of the time...
no subject
Born from yourselves? How does that come to be?
[He cut off briefly in his question and caught on quick to the boy trailing off at the end of his sentence.]
Did something happen with your lusus?
no subject
[He nodded to the second question but didn't elaborate, he didn't want to give him too much information at once after all.]

[Signless could tell that the other did not wish to continue and for that he was respectful. He gave a nod and placed a gentle hand on the other's shoulder.]
I am sorry to hear that.
no subject
He didn't mind the hand, since it was Signless, even if this were a different Signless.]
Don't be, it was a long time ago.
no subject
[He withdraws his hand slowly.]
It was still a pained experience I am sure. For that I am sorry.

[A pause.]
I am sorry if I might be a nuisance.

Where I come from there is an empire that rules a third of the planet, it is ruled by an emperor but it can be ruled by an empress depending on who is in power... in other countries and worlds there might be elected officials, or monarchs or such. It depends on the place... [He paused again to check Signless wasn't too confused.]
Human children tend to stay with their parents until their late teens, roughly speaking two human years is about one sweep, and in many places humans stay with their parents until they are eight or nine sweeps old...

It depends again, but some humans live until they are about forty sweeps... There are even cases of humans living until they are over fifty sweeps but that is rare.
Of course in times of war, or hardship humans may not even last five or six sweeps.
no subject
That is unfortunate, but war, plague, famine or even a combination of hardships will greatly shorten the life spans of the young ones.

It is not about humans but... you need to know. As I say there was a Signless here before you. He made his self known as someone who would always stand for those less fortunate and never give in to tyranny be it from High Blooded trolls or other races that believed they had a right to harm others.
You may find some of the younger ones, trolls and humans alike will come to you for advice and help.
[He didn't see it being an issue, if this Signless was anything like the one Suzaku had been friends with.]
no subject
I will be sure to make myself known as one who can offer just that. I also wish to inform you that I will extend the same status to you, if you are ever in need of an ear to listen or a helpful word of advice.

[Sadly Signless would find that Suzaku would never come to him, no offense to Signless but other Signless physically had to hunt for him and pin him down before he could make him talk about things that bothered him.]
no subject
[He figures as much and perhaps he will do just that. If he sees fit.]
