just another day in an unfamiliar place
Characters: Sho and ERRYONE
Setting: Floors 27, and 15.
Format: I'll match~
Summary: Gun-repair, lab exploration, and giant wolves, oh my!
Warnings: Newbie trying to not acting like a newbie while carrying around a small armory and being flanked by two wolf-dogs. He's not the master of subtlety.
Sho hadn't spent more than a second in his room, once he was awake and able to move- he stripped the bodysuit, donned his armor, strapped on his COMP and left. He'd made sure to grab his weapons- all of them, including his broken sniper rifle -and his toolkit, of course. That was only practical. The letters were left, unopened, on his night stand.
[27]
And yet, by the time Sho reached floor 27, he had surmised this was probably not Tokyo 2036. Even still, he wasn't that bothered- he'd been sent to so many weird places through teleportation that this felt like just another stop along his path.
The laboratory was almost...normal, though, compared to Sho's comprehension of Tokyo 2036. There was something that unsettled him about it, but he couldn't seem to place it. He approached some of the tubes, tapping very lightly against the glass as more of an idle action than any scientific testing. To some degree, he was still on autopilot.
[15]
He'd been expecting an actual shop by now, or some sort of store, but a workshop worked just as well. He needed to repair the M40; his two pistols he had worked just fine, but being able to snipe out enemies was sort of an important tactical ability to him. However, aside from setting the rifle down, he seemed at a loss for what to do. Anything he did to sodder it would just cause the barrel to be grossly grooved, and...
Beside Sho was a giant wolf-like creature, and another, smaller dog-wolf animal with a scale-lined tail. They seemed to be guarding Sho's back while he fussed and pondered over the gun parts, but they almost looked bored in their task. The smaller one eventually gave a loud yawn and flopped over on his side dramatically, with the large wolf more composedly laying down after a minute or so. Sho didn't even seem to notice, too wrapped up and focused on his task.

He approaches quietly, which isn't hard. The footsteps of a child are small but even they become a bit louder as he changes to the shape of a man, which you might be more familiar with. It doesn't occur to him to question that you might not know who he is at this point; that he's so certain you must know who he is by the time he'll speak with you.
He doesn't come too close, not enough to provoke the demons you've summoned at least. Not that he's scared of them; he's rather certain he could take them on with great ease if he pleased. But rather out of an odd sense of respect to you yourself, Sho.]
And so it seems your journeys have brought you to yet another strange land.
[15]
[And then he felt it. No. That wasn't possible - he hadn't been given the same kind of curse. And yet it was still a power and a soul that he remembered even from the first days, and he stepped towards the door of the workshop.]
[... Ah. Cerberus and Fenrir. Interesting choices. Still, he looked over at the - it was hard to call him a boy, but he was still a boy, at least in this body. He could see him staring at a gun.]
Problems?
Floor 15, did you say gun-repair
Except there's someone here already. Eridan pauses a moment to give the two barkbeast... things a look and then heads to another workbench. Or would, except he caught a sight of that rifle. His eyebrows arch over his sunglasses.]
...pretty thing you've got there.
[So hey. Have a rifle-loving alien kid that's making eyes at your gun, no pun intended.]
obby, gun-lover CR
It's my only rifle right now.
[Luckily, he didn't do the holy crap what are you are you a demon???? routine, mostly because of his own experiences. Typically, when something wanted him dead, it directly attacked- plus, neither Fenrir or Pascal had even leapt up to his defense. It was prooobably safe. His face slowly eased back in to something friendly, even if a little sad at the sorry state of his gun. A good chunk of the barrel was lying on the table; not enough to make it unusable, but it sure was going to make accuracy a lot more sketchy.]
I have my pistols, but...I really need her in working order.

[He hadn't intended the grumble to be out loud, but when it tumbled out of his mouth, he just gave up on it. He took a moment to turn towards the speaker, noticing with confusion that Pascal was suddenly on high alert. Even Fenrir was eyeballing the stranger.]
Sorry. I, yeah. My rifle's docked. I'm not sure if I should leave it, or risk soddering it up and clearing the seams out.
[...what was that tugging feeling in his chest...?]
0w0
Oh, trust me, I know the feeling.
[He looks up, finally, hands idly stuck inside the back pockets of his jeans.]
Want me to take a look at it? Rifles are kind 'a my thing.
[Pause. And then he awkwardly offers a clawed hand to shake.]
Ah, sorry. Name's Eridan.
no subject
...sadly.
[The simple reply didn't sit well with him; he felt like he had to try and explain himself.]
I- well, I'm glad I'm used to it. I'm adapting.

[He's disappointed by the fact that you don't recognize him. It's hard to tell if the disappointment is born of his own vanity or for some inherent desire even beyond that for you to know who he is.
Even Lucifer can't tell for certain what the cause of the disappointment is. And that infuriate him.]
You'll find there are quite a few strangers from strange worlds here. Though I suppose in the end all worlds are strange to those not native to them.

[He takes a few steps forward regardless, attempting to edge around the demon dogs. Come on guys. Seriously... :| ]
Floor 27
Luckily, he gets the distraction he wanted. He hears movement in the laboratory, and heads towards it to investigate. He's used to the Tower being mostly empty, and is expecting a monster more than he is a human.
27 - everyone else just wants to ~look at your guns~ sho
As is, she's been trying to scope out what tools in here she does know how to use, what ones she can guess the use of, and what are utterly mystifying. As to her level of success...?
..well, we'll just wait and see, hm?
The sudden noise of someone's hand tapping on the glass somewhere behind her gives Kohaku a startle, and clumsy as she is... she fumbles the latest scientific instrument she'd chosen to pick up and check over, and the delicate parts of it make a cringe worthy sound as it hits the floor.

And as usual, Sho has very little in the means of a sense motive check, so he just gives the gray-haired guy a smile.] I appreciate any help, thanks. My name's Sho.
don't worry the GUN SHOW is always ready to deploy ;O
She had a collar, however, and he quickly relaxed. "You startled me...are you okay?"
no subject
"Excuse me-" But, where did he even begin? "Are you from around here?"
~w~
Ah- yeah, I'd appreciate that a lot, actually! My name's Sho.

[Personally, Sho can accept the Tower's note quite easily; his world was destroyed, after all. But if he expected any 'rescue' like this, it'd be from the messians. They weren't exactly blessed with tact. Even still, none of the people seemed to be shouting about God, so it seemed unlikely- especially with how this man was presenting himself.]
I'm glad someone else is familiar with that. [A pause, and Sho purses his lips, eyeing Lucifer up and down. He doesn't know him, but...there's still a pull he can't comprehend. Maybe he's run across him and forgot? Oh geez, if this was one of Gotou's goonies from the execution-] But...you seem to know me specifically, too.
Pulling gun information out of my butt yay?
My name is Naoya.
[Looking at the gun, looking at the gun... mm.]
Sawing off some of the end might be the best bet, though it'll affect the accuracy. I wouldn't trust the tools here to be able to shape it precisely, and if it's not right the seams are likely to tear or affect the aim.
its 0k, i've never held a M40 in my life --i think???--
[Look how mature your sisteen year old dadsoul is, making sour faces at guns because he knew he couldn't fix it.]
I wish there was a gunsmith 'round here. They could ground down the seams, probably. It can still fire pretty accurate, I just...I'm gonna miss the longrange shots more.
[Gunsulk, gunsulk. He did nod to Naoya though.] Thanks, though. Guess I shouldn't mess with stuff I don't got the skill for.

So what happened to it? Or should I just pull it apart an' guess from what I find out in it?
I'd be better off if it were a bow and arrow sob.
[He looked over at the two dog demons though.]
Besides, isn't close-range attack what they're for?
...I have no idea why I thought I was matching present tense. Sorry for that!
"Not originally." Enoch forced himself to relax a bit from the tension he'd picked up from Sho's body language. He wasn't looking for a fight and didn't want to give that impression at all. "I was brought here just as you were."
Enoch didn't have wings, at least, if Sho could take comfort in that. And he looked very human, even if his armor was strange and didn't seem to cover everything armor should.

Lucifer just stares at Sho for a minute after being asked if he knows him, a thin smile starting to creep across his lips.]
Know you?
I suppose I do. We've met before.
