[o5] ♪ Death's icy breath.
Characters:
AU Minato Arisato & people, then later
AU Jin Shirato and more Persona users.
Setting: Early Afternoon on July 3rd, toward the afternoon/early evening; all over-ish -> cathedral.
Format: Action. Prose will be far too slow for this, sorry.
Summary: Minato goes crazy thanks to finding his sister gone and falls victim to a certain Cerulean blood's mind control.
Warnings: If you confront Minato after a certain point, your character WILL have a VERY HIGH CHANCE of dying! Here is the OOC info post. Feel free to backtag into forever if you like once I get this up.
[ The floors he visited had begun to ice over. Anyone who wandered near where Minato was would find it almost unbearably, bone-chillingly cold.
In fact, the walls froze around him as he walked, searching.
For what?
People. People he thinks he can... 'fix'. Or save. Perhaps his inability to do so during their time in the Pods had gotten to him.
... He had Thanatos, didn't he? Why not listen? Why not let him go? After a month of enduring Thanatos and Samael's persistent voices, he no longer had any desire to be what he now viewed as cruel. Killing people was a niceness, here. Surely, it was nice. A kindness. They'd thank him. Even if they didn't realize it. Dying was better than that. It would be better to die. If he killed them, with Thanatos, then perhaps they'd stay dead. Perhaps they'd no longer suffer...
... He was prepared to do it by whatever means, and however much pain had to be caused. Pain was good, too. Pain told them they were people, you see? That they had personalities...
Yes, he did like people.
He liked them enough to freeze them slowly and let his Persona rip them apart... ]

[ OOC:

sucks 2 b u tbh
Everything hurts. He kind of makes a really pained groan as he tries to get back to his feet as quickly as possible. Death by the windy thing seems a little less morbid than being electrocuted at the very least. He's not dead yet anyways. It's just merely a when.] Fuckkkk...
no subject
With them on this side, however, it does leave the iced-over entrance easy enough to get to. Minato isn't thinking about that, though. As far as he's concerned, this battle is won. ]
no subject
He was still standing in the path towards the door, but it didn't look like he was paying attention anymore. He'd stopped attacking because Minato seemed ready to end it himself. He was too wrapped up in his own head again.]
no subject
He turned his attention back to Minato first. He couldn't let himself get completely distracted. That would be the death of him, assuming he even was able to get out of this alive.
Dave was vaguely aware that powers were active here, but he wasn't sure what would happen if he died fighting the.]
no subject
That could break through just about anything. ]
no subject
Apparently he was impatient.]
no subject
He stumbles a bit as he dodges the lightning, skidding slightly. He's trying to scramble to his feet, but it's not as fast as he usually is about it. The burns hurt and he's sore. He really only has time to glance at Jin or Minato before staring at Thanatos.]
no subject
Yet another one wielding time... tell me, how does it feel to know that even with all the time in the world, you cannot prevent the inevitable, Dave Strider?
[ ... That is not Minato speaking anymore. ]
Your 'time' will not save you from the inevitable.
[ And then, just like that, the Persona makes its way exactly toward Dave, with nearly unbelievable speed. ]
no subject
So just die already--!
[Honestly he kind of sounded like he just wanted to get this over with.]
no subject
He used it once back in the pods, but technically a doomed version of him came back in time.
Dave just stumbled backwards. Whatever it was, that thing was fast. He wasn't going to be able to dodge it. Welp. Dying isn't so bad right? He'd be back soon enough. Dave only has time to get back to his feet before Minato's Persona was looming over him.] Fuck.
no subject
And as it is right now, said fragment of Death raises its blade and makes to stab Dave--
However, here, Minato jerks away and something distracts him (who knows what it is, but briefly he seems to completely lose focus), causing his Persona's aim to sway. The attack misses by enough to break the ice blocking the stairs to the other floors.
Shit. ]
no subject
When Minato's aim faltered, Jin stepped forward a few inches, summoning Moros once more to try and deliver another blast of fire to Dave, attacking in Thanatos' place.]
no subject
He's already bolting for the exit.
Dave doesn't have the speed or energy to evade Moros' attack completely, and he bites back the yell he wants to make when he feels the fire connect with his skin. But it doesn't make him stop either. It's a blessing that he apparently can handle the heat to some degree. The burns he'll be having for the next while would be worth getting away with his life.
He knew there was a high chance of him coming back right after, but what good would god tier immortality do if you were trapped with two people who obviously rather want you dead?]
