Characters: AU Minato Arisato & people, then later AU Jin Shirato and more Persona users.
Setting: Early Afternoon on July 3rd, toward the afternoon/early evening; all over-ish -> cathedral.
Format: Action. Prose will be far too slow for this, sorry.
Summary: Minato goes crazy thanks to finding his sister gone and falls victim to a certain Cerulean blood's mind control.
Warnings: If you confront Minato after a certain point, your character WILL have a VERY HIGH CHANCE of dying! Here is the OOC info post. Feel free to backtag into forever if you like once I get this up.

[ The floors he visited had begun to ice over. Anyone who wandered near where Minato was would find it almost unbearably, bone-chillingly cold.

In fact, the walls froze around him as he walked, searching.

For what?

People. People he thinks he can... 'fix'. Or save. Perhaps his inability to do so during their time in the Pods had gotten to him.

... He had Thanatos, didn't he? Why not listen? Why not let him go? After a month of enduring Thanatos and Samael's persistent voices, he no longer had any desire to be what he now viewed as cruel. Killing people was a niceness, here. Surely, it was nice. A kindness. They'd thank him. Even if they didn't realize it. Dying was better than that. It would be better to die. If he killed them, with Thanatos, then perhaps they'd stay dead. Perhaps they'd no longer suffer...

... He was prepared to do it by whatever means, and however much pain had to be caused. Pain was good, too. Pain told them they were people, you see? That they had personalities...

Yes, he did like people.

He liked them enough to freeze them slowly and let his Persona rip them apart... ]

[Reasoning with him won't do anything, she knows...but it might buy her some time to run away. She slowly steps back.]

I wasn't taken outside the Tower like she was. If I could have, I would have.

[That stance. What...what happened to him? And then her throat tightens up.

Minami...is his sister?

No time to think about the implications now. Her hand whips her Evoker out of its holster to bring to her temple. Seth emerges from behind her with a roar, his spread wings breaking through the columns of ice.]

You know deep down that won't really happen, Minato.

Don't TELL me what will or won't happen! Those who were left here, you should have paid attention! How the hell am I supposed to do anything after last month?!

[ He freezes, hands clenched tightly, just breathing. He is angry. He is upset. Moreover, he isn't himself, and it shows in how he sort of sinks back down now to an eerie calm. ]

... It... doesn't matter. I'll find her once I've finished this...

[ Even so, he lets his Persona continue to attempt to attack Seth; it would be easy, wouldn't it, to just kill her. He has a gun. Why doesn't he just...

Raise that pistol, an actual pistol, and aim it directly at Minako? Of course. Simple. Right? ]

[She is about to protest, but stills when he does as well, watching him warily. He is like a ticking bomb, ready to go off-- she has to get out of here, now. Even with her Personas at her disposal, there is no telling what an enraged Persona user can do.

Seth keeps Thanatos at bay with blasts of Agidyne, and she quickly starts backing away behind the dragon's wing.]

Don't do this, Minato! She wouldn't want you to do this!

She's right.

[What perfect time for Shinji to arrive, having heard the sounds of the battle on patrol. Dammit it Minako, how come you ended up in trouble so often...

He stares down the Strega Leader as he calmly places himself in front of Minako like a human shield. You want to try shooting now? Because he wasn't going to be moving.]

I don't know what the hell's wrong with you, but you ain't gonna get her back like this...

[Minako's blood runs cold when she sees Shinji's towering frame in front of her. Everything is flashing back to that night of October 4th, and her stomach turns at the thought. No...no, she will not allow that to happen again.

Not now, not ever.

She steps to his side and grips his arm, letting him know that she isn't going to back away when he's still here. Seth looms behind them menacingly, another Agidyne ready and flaring at the corners of its mouth.]

Please, Minato. You're better than this. And she probably knew you were better than this too.

[ He would have retorted, perhaps, were he saner, but he doesn't think. He just acts. Well, you asked him to shoot, so he will, his eyes...

Blank? Actually, come to think of it, they might remind you of Aigis during that one incident... before he jumps back.

And then when he is done doing that, Thanatos appears and grabs at Minako with its massive hand, attempting to squeeze her. ]

[Thanatos is too quick for her to avoid. Minako doesn't even have a chance to shout before she is suddenly choking, gasping for the precious air that is being forced out of her body.

Getting her bearings, she starts writhing in Thantos' hand and uselessly trying to pry its fingers out of its iron grip. Seth surges into action with a roar in reaction to her panicked emotions, clamping his jaws around the Death Persona's arm to try and wrench it off as well.]
