Backdated to Monday (Open)

Summary: Elian wastes little time in gathering a small group to explore. He decided that it's better to amass one than go alone. Despite his powers, it's better to have a good arsenal than arrogance on his side.
Warnings: Violence.

At the appointed time, Elian waits at a table between the door and the food dispensers. He packed in a small sack made from one of his HOLY jackets that he folded with care and precision, a trick he learned in his survival camp and many years of folding origami.

The violet collar around his neck was a bit uncomfortable and the colors really didn't faze him much. To him, it didn't matter, at least for now. His HOLY uniform was quite baggy on his small frame yet it was the sturdiest thing he hand in his wardrobe that could take the punishment. With everything gathered, it was time to wait for the others to show. What better way than to enjoy a meal, if he could choke it down...

[ Jade is last, but only because she was waylaid by quite a few people before she could get away. She appears with what looks like a few strange nutritional bars -- her last-ditch attempt at food, because she was sure if they needed help she could simply try to teleport them away. They'd be better than nothing.

Jade waves, a little nervous. She's not sure what they're getting into, but exploring was always good. ]

[Elian looks over his shoulder at the two girls that he originally spoke to about this adventure. He waves back with a discrete smile and returns his attention back to his makeshift pack.

With the bag now hanging strapped across his chest, he looks up. His height is only a small issue. Standing at 4'10, he didn't look much older than a twelve year-old.]

Good of you to come. I'm Elian. You must be Ishtar and Jade Harley.

[He has no weapons on him, and despite his baggy clothes, it's hard to say if he has anything concealed under his over sized coat.]

I'm going to need to take your biosigns so I can track you should we become separated.

[He holds out his hands, one to each of the girls with his eyes closed.]

I promise this won't hurt at all.

[ Ishtar turned to greet the other girl that approached as well. She remembered her from their brief conversation a little while back. The princess nodded her head in greeting as she looked back over at Elian. ]

I'm Ishtar, yeah.

[ She mused with a small smile. The only thing she was carrying was her sword and a bottle of water that was loosely tied to the sword loop. ]

Is that like a mark or something, like for tracking?

[ She wasn't too familiar with other worlds and their gimmicks but in her own world, tracking spells worked kind of like that....except without the bio sign stuff. ]

I'm Jade, it's nice to meet you in person! Biosigns?

[ She's just as curious, since she's never had a need for tracking spells...but she holds her hand out anyway, since she wants to know what it does. ]

What are those?

[He takes a moment to address their curiosity. Elian is more than prepared to handle something like this.]

Every living creature has them. In order for me to track, read your vitals should you become poisoned or injured, or to better understand the type of treatment you would need, it's best that I have your biosigns in my database for treatment options.

No need to worry, I keep things confidential. You see, [A nimbus of shimmering, prismatic light engulfs his body with his eyes closed.] it's called Absolute Perception. This is my primary power. It allows me to obtain data, read life signs, track, pretty much anything you can think of. In essence, I'm a living computer. If the information is out there, I will find it.

[ Ishtar looked confused for a moment, before she let allof that slowly sink into her mind. This kid was like some super human computer or something, wasn't he? She wasn't sure if she should be trusting a stranger with her information, but he didn't prove to be a bad person, yet.

She really needed to stop trusting people too easily, but whelp, no harm done in giving some information out. She puts out her hand. ]

Yeah, I think I got most of it....kind of, but as long as you keep it a secret.

[ She smiled. ] Let's get to it then.

Seconding the secret part! [ She wasn't entirely sure if she wanted the entire tower to know all about her varied life as a dog-first guardian-whatever else she was on a given day. Better safe than sorry. ]

Right, let's do this!

Sensory Perception.

[He gives a nod with his eyes closed, and starts to work as his body gives off the spectral nimbus glow the moment his hands wrapped around theirs. He was taking in the information from both simultaneously which is the limit to his bio-signs documentation would allow.

Consciously, he wouldn't be able to recall anything other than he performed the sensory download. Subconsciously, it records in a series of 1's and 0's. It's not something that he would be able to recall verbally. This is only a small part of his Alter power.

His eyes open after a few moments and the glow subsides. His voice sounds almost robotic.]

Sensory Perception, complete.

[He lets go of their hands and blinks, his conscious self returning to his normal state.]

Are we ready or do we need more time?

[ It felt weird, when someone else was performing something different on her body. Ishtar was used to doing things like healing for her friends and companions, and it was always strange to her to have to be on the other end. When he completed his task she smiled, and lowered her hands. ]

I think I'm ready to go. What about you Jade?

[ She mused with a small smile. ]

That felt a little weird too, actually.

I'm ready to go too.

[ That was strange; she's never had someone read her before, except mentally, psychologically. This was different, and exciting. Something that made the hair on the back of her neck stand on end. ]

Where are we going first?

I was considering starting at the top and work our way down. If I read the posts correctly, there is an elevator that will take us there and we can walk our way down. Hence why I asked that we take supplies with us.

[To Elian, it seemed like the logical choice.]

The suggestion is open for negotiation.

[He pulled on the makeshift backpack around his shoulders while using the belt to keep it from sliding if he has to run.]

[ Ishtar didn't see any problem with that. ]

I think that should be a good start. I mean, it would be easier to start from the top.

[ she nodded her head. ]

It sounds about right. What do you think, Jade?

That makes sense. After all, this kind of feels like the bottom...so we could just end up back here! We might be hungry by the time we get back.

[ And a matching nod. ]

Affirmative.

[He starts to make his way toward the hall quietly. He's a little shy about talking about matters outside of the task, so bear with him as he goes along. He'll open up as time goes on.

Leading a small group like this can be fun and challenging for him, and already he's enjoying the company even if he's not sure how to express himself.

Off toward the elevator to go kick some monster butt, whenever they show themselves and Floor 38 is their first stop.]

Yeah, agreeing with you on that, Jade. We should get a bit to eat when this is all over. What do you say?

[ she mused giving a small laugh. Ishtar followed suit as Elian started moving. He seemed to know what he was doing a lot more than she was, so she didn't want to be in his way. She tried her best to give him a hand. ]

Right! I eat a lot now for some reason, I think I might be growing.

[ She says this like she's extremely proud of it, but by the time they're at the top of the tower she's all business, uncertainly peering around. ]

[Elian looks over his shoulder at Jade with a small smile. It certainly is good to have these sorts of light-hearted conversations even in the face of possible danger. Of course, he didn't suffer the same issues as everyone else, it's still a learning experience.]

There's nothing wrong with growing.

[ She grinned, as she followed after the both of them, unsheathing Sidia. She was sure that they might need to use their weapons soon, so she didn't waste a second to draw Sidia. Hopefully, though her lessons would be useful in battle. Sebastian wasn't exactly the most merciful instructor. ]

[ Jade didn't have any weapons show up in her trunk; rifles were a bit big. Subsequently, she knows that if they ever reach a floor where her powers can't be used, she'll have to be extra careful.

Thankfully Floor 38 looks like it's a giant lounge...so she's not that worried. Jade tests out her powers briefly, shrinking a nearby beanbag to the size of a tissue, and then letting it go back to normal size. ]

Space powers still work here-- whoa.... [ And she's spotted the windows. ] There's nothing there...

[Elian steps in from behind the girls. His eyes scan the room and notices the same thing. Jade's power makes him wonder about his own and the familiar shimmer of prismatic light that indicates his Altereration abilities forms a cloud for a moment then vanishes just as fast without forming anything yet.]

Affirmative. My Absolute Perception works here as well.

[Out of curiosity, he steps toward the windows to look around and then up. His eyes close, his chin lowers, his hand presses against the glass.]

It appears that we are...alone here.

It is a little...too quiet.

[ Ishtar murmured, still feeling the pulses from her weapon. It seemed like magical powers worked on this floor too, but like Elian and Jade had pointed out, it was pretty empty. It just looked like a huge lounge for relaxing when people wanted to. she touched some of the objects in the room to get a feel of it. ]

...Yeah, it doesn't feel like anyone is on this floor right now......

It's so lonely.

[ She walks towards the windows, but stops halfway, a little hesitant. ] I didn't even think space was this sad. At least we were surrounded by stars and space junk.

[Teal eyes look at his reflection in the glass. The spacious lounge and the black surroundings of what's outside confirms what his two companions say and a nod accompanies his response.]

Affirmative.

[He turns from the window, his back now presses against the glass with a sigh, his arms hug his chest.]

I suppose if someone wants to get away from it all, they could start here. But eventually, the loneliness will get to them unless they like that sort of solitude. For a lounge, it's not very comforting.

[Was that subjective reasoning just now?]

Yeah, tell me about it. It's kind of giving me the chills here.

[ The girl replied touching one of the windows, looking out into the vast emptiness. Her eyes became a little hazy. ]

It feels really empty here....compared to Facility. At least, then we still had other people nearby. It wasn't as big, so you do have a point Jade.

[ She closed her eyes. ] Yeah it feels pretty cold compared to what I imagined a lounge to be...

Lounges are supposed to be happy, I think. Even though there are a lot of us here, there's not enough to fill the tower. I don't think there ever could be.

[ She brushes her hand along an armchair. ]

I think I miss home.

[Sadly, Elian has to agree and he nods, turning his attention away from the window and through the lounge.]

Perhaps we shouldn't dwell on the things we cannot change but turn our attentions toward the things we can. It could be used for a large party in the future even if this place seems so empty and vast now.

Maybe a concert could be held here someday, or maybe a celebration.

We'd probably need a thousands, or even millions of people just to do that. This tower seems so...vast... [ She replied looking off. ]

Yeah...me too. The castle was a big place, but it's small compared to this and a lot more comforting.

[ She lowered her eyes. ]

Yeah, maybe we can do something recreational here in this place, and maybe there will be more people here, even if it's a little?

Haha...Yes, I like that idea...or maybe someone's birthday...it looks big enough.

We could bring people here! It might be fun, to have a big party, or some kind of sleepover...if this place isn't bad at night.

[ That makes her feel a bit better. She steps away from the windows. ]

Do you see anything else in here? It feels so huge....

Pageants?

[Of course he was just throwing out ideas along the way.]

Maybe even a sporting event like a martial arts competition?

[It was certainly big enough for something like that. He stepped toward the center. The familiar prismatic shimmer outlined his body to bring up a round green and orange alien like bubble.]

I'm inputting the dimensions of this room and cross reference with events through the database to see what the possibilities are.

[A list scrolled in front of his eyes.]

I think all of those ideas would be wonderful to have at a place like this.

[ she nodded in agreement. ]

That sounds fun too, and sporting events is definitely a go. I know there's a lot of people who love to perform with swords and stuff...and martial arts tournament would get the crwod wild.

[ she grinned with certainty. ]

Ah, okay... [ She mused, watching him perform his task. Ishtar moved from the window and placed a hand on her hip as she scanned the surrounding area. Yeah, definitely could use some fun here. ]

Me too! Maybe we could get everyone to do fun things together. It would make the place feel a lot better.

[ And she's watching too, curiously. ] You have super cool magic.

Thank you. It's not entirely magic, but it's a good way to describe it.

[Now that he's no longer feeling uncomfortable using it in a place like this with present company, he nods as the display shows many various combinations.]

Through the input, I have managed to collect data for at least six different sources from recall. However, I don't think any of them could apply here since the materials need to be gained from an outside source.

[He drops his hands and the bubble vanishes in prismatic light.]

Hm, it does raise an interesting question now. How is it that the Tower is resupplied?

I think as long as we could do something fun, then we're bound to find some people to enjoy it with.

[ She replied to Jade. It seemed like they had a small idea of what they wanted to do with this place. ]

Yeah, it's pretty neat ability you have there.

[ She replied looking over at Elian. ]

....Oh yeah? Maybe some places in this tower has what we're looking for...maybe?

[ She mused. ]

Tough one, I don't really know...haha.

Me neither. Maybe we should ask some people if we find some! It's possible that some people who have been here longer might know better.
