Strange...[OPEN]
Characters: Elian Zigmarl and YOU
Setting: Infirmary
Time: Day after the Mousetrap Event
Summary: Comatose Elian is waking up after getting killed. It's also his day to have his collar maintained.
Warnings: Talks about death and pain while coping with failure.
With his collar now refreshed, Elian remained still. His eyes fluttered open. His head ached. It hurt to breathe. The youngest HOLY Alter user and clone had said nothing. His eyes looked up at the ceiling, contemplating what he was left with. Was it worth talking about what happened? He did something stupid. Of course not. It was a lesson learned.
[OOC: Really sorry about the earlier delete. ^^;]

The thought about Christmas cards did make him smile with a soft laugh. "I should get to work on my poetry."

The laugh does elicit a smile from her, however. "You could be a regular Shakespeare of our time. Got a rhyming dictionary stashed in your head somewhere?"

"I don't think I'll be as great as Shakespeare, but I appreciate the compliment." Just having a rad friend like Jade really helped.
Strangely, Elian felt grounded, awake and less like a fixture. "I uses to read a dictionary." Which was true.

"Now I'm pretty sure when your cozies up in front of the fire place to open the newest edition of webster, that may be grounds for neglect. Just sayin'."

His laughter quieted some to a more nostalgic expression. "The conversations I had back then were relatively random. I didn't know how to put things in context very well. The expressions I gained made me realize that humans were fascinating and I wanted to learn more. I guess that's why he took an interest in me the way he had."
Just knowing that he was different at such an early age, aside from the abusive experiments and the grueling loneliness of isolation, he learned a lot more than the scientists originally thought which gave him a supreme advantage as an observer.

"You sound like some kind of sci-fi alien, not gonna lie. Cool to know that the whole 'humans are fascinating' thing will cut some of us a break at least."
no subject
"Sorry."
He was still getting used to things around him and the more he was exposed to it, the more he began to see just how many holes he had in his walls to fill. Patch one up, and another is exposed. It was a never ending cycle it seemed.

"Man, all you cats around here apologize too much. Loosen up, bro!"
